If you could transport yourself to ONE STOP of this drive, which would you choose?
That's impossible to answer 😊 Amazing place!
Top of the world highway in Alaska. Driving towards the Yukon Territory. Starts near TOK Alaska.
Watson Lake and the sign post forrest.
To hear your beautiful voice in a taste of your filming a music video. I keep going back to 8 minutes. Wonderful!
Just found this site, you mentioned being only 1 road into Alaska, that's not true, the route you took and the summer route through Dawson City and up over the Top of the world highway into Alaska. Also at Watson Lake, there is another highway south, the Stewart-Cassier highway down to Yellowhead highway 16, where you can go west to the coast or East to Prince George.
Drove the whole ALCAN highway in 1992. Camped in a tent , alone. HEAVEN!
That sounds like it was an amazing trip!!
This brings back memories. My wife and I drove this road a half dozen times between 1972 and 1982. Also being an artist and musician, the road inspires many things. I did a beautiful painting of Kluane Lake. I don't miss the mosquitoes however. The first time driving it there was 900 miles of unpaved dirt.
Wow what an adventure! So happy our wee piece of art (the video) sparked some memories. Do you have plans to do the trip again all these years later? It’ll be quite a different world, being paved the whole way!
So many memories! My best friend and I did the entire Alcan on bikes in 2010. Ft Nelson, Liard Hot Springs, the sign forest, just brought back memory after memory! Muncho Lake, Whitehorse. And I'm so happy you covered the role Black Americans in this epic project. Thanks for the memories!
Oh wow, what a journey that must have been!!! I (Cora) drove the Alcan with my sister in my early 20s and it still is one of the sweetest memories 🏔️🏔️
astounding beauty put me in tears of joy love you and video
Aw thanks so much!!
I have made the drive from Maine to Alaska, in both directions a total of 3 times. The first being in 1981. Beautiful trip. Great video!
Wow, what an experience. It must have been amazing to see the highway change over the years as well.
How long those it takes to go from Maine to Alaska?
The quickest I have driven it is 5 1/2 days. It’s about 5,100 miles.
Really Love your content, and your song too. just Awesome ❤❤
Thank you!!
Another wonderful video! I would stop at Kluane National Park to do some hiking.
Thank you! And yes - we wish we had more time there. We hope to drive much more slowly on the way down so that we can stop for lots of hiking along the way!
Beautiful song, beautiful voice!
Thank you so much!
We did the AlCan in our camper in 2012. Interesting to hear about the change in Kluane Lake. So many wonderful memories while watching your videos!
Aw, so happy we could bring you down memory lane!
Drove the Alaska Highway 4 times over 30 years of living in Alaska. I have taken the eastern, middle and western routes.
2 of those runs were in converted schoolies.
Favorite spot: Liard Hot Springs.
Nice! That sounds amazing. Yes, Liard is quite a stop along the way...
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I just came from Banff, but love to travel with you to Alaska! You made it but I felt so happy and so excited like I made it there together with you! The journey is going on! Looking forward to explore Alaska with you till my feet will hit its ground in real time next year, fingers crossed! You guys are absolutely amazing humans! Love from Minnesotan Ukrainian heart!❤
We hope you enjoy the Alaskan adventures!! Lots to come!
You do the AlCan justice with these videos. It's just incredible. Also, that song you teased is absolutely amazing and so well produced and sung! So happy to have found your channel as I'm about to do my first 14'er mountain in Colorado. The vibe just fits
I’ve done the Alaska highway a couple times and I’ve heard people say Alcan.. wasn’t that an old mining company or some thing??
love this trip so much, thank you
So glad you enjoyed it, Percy!
I am really enjoying the videos you are posting of your Alaska journey. And Cora, you have a beautiful voice. I loved the snippet of the song you shared with us. :)
Thank you so much! We are so happy you're on the adventure with us, Marjorie!
Thank you so much for this amazing piece of video art! Once again your fine commentary and beautiful video work has made a masterpiece. Although I live in the foothills of Mt. Rainier in Washington State my heart jumps whenever I visit Alaska...your music is so complimentary to your narrative and is so much appreciated by this 74 year old singer/songwriter...I feel blessed by it. Please know that you have a fan forever living his best life in the mountains and enjoying your Art!
Hey Bob! (It is Bob, right? We inferred from your username!) Thank you so much for this awesome message. It's good to know we have you on board. And hey, maybe our paths can cross when we come through your area! Current projection is mid to late 2024!
another beautiful video and oh my goodness what a beautiful singing voice you have I would love to hear more of that❤
This video is pure gold! I can't get enough of it. The content is absolutely captivating, and the execution is flawless. It's clear that a lot of time and effort went into creating this masterpiece. Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity with the world. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏🎥✨
Wow, thank you so much! We are so happy you are enjoying our videos😊

So exciting 😊
:)
Hi José and Cora, thanks for another great vlog of that amazing highway and beautiful time of year. Autumn is always colourful and you certainly captured that. I wish you both continured safe travels.
Hey there Raymond! So glad you enjoyed this one! The part about the glacial river is pretty wild, right?! We didn't learn about that until AFTER we were there! Thinking of doing a whole segment about it when we drive back down..
The Alaska highway is one of those incredible road trips you can take.. great work guys..
Another trip you should take is the Dempster highway all the way to tuktoyaktuk.. absolutely incredible, wild highway.
We really want to do that trip!!! We’ll see…
Your voice is gorgeous, and your video quality is super high.🥰
Thank you so much!!
Love from Morocco ❤
Hello! Thanks for saying hi!! Sending a hug from Alaska!
amazing !
Happy you enjoyed it!
Amazing video
Thank you 🙏
awesome guys the filming and the narration are lovely. if i had the money i wouldn't mind going off the grid 5-star style in the Yukon
Thanks so much! And agreed - it would be awesome to live off grid in the Yukon!
Guys good info for other travelers !
So happy you found it helpful!
Wow, love your voice and the colors of the trees with video is awesome
Thank you so much!
You guys AMAZING 👌
Thank you so much!😊
I just could imagine areas around Yukon in the past through Jack London's stories. During the gold rush....
I don't know when, but I'm going to drive it. Greetings to everyone from Italy
You will love it!!
I really hope your channel grows, but I enjoy watching without all of the commercials that TH-cam tends to throw into the more popular channels.
We hope it continues to grow as well! We’ve put many years of work into the channel so far!
Nice
Thanks!
Such great vibes....Just discovered your channel. I, too, am headed to Argentina.
Ooh awesome! Keep tabs on where we are, maybe we can meet up along the route!
Really this part of the road is a true camper place. You park your vehicle and you know there is nobody around in miles.
Absolutely!! There are so many places to park here, there is no issue at all. Very easy!
Is there a time limit as how long you can stay at them
Heyy!! Awesome video!!
What months were you there?
This was mid-September 🏔️
Just wow all I can say what month did you guys leave? To start you journey and back I would rather do fall trip
We drove up the Alcan in September. Crossed into Alaska Sept 22!
Like the videos.
Much appreciated, friend! Keep on liking and we'll keep on making!😁
Sorry if this is a silly question but I'm wondering whether you carry onboard your skoolie extra cans of gas? I haven't seen any gas stations/fill ups during this Alaska series and since I'd like to do similar drive myself next spring I want to make sure I don't run out of gas (my skoolie is a mini/23 feet, not full-sized like yours). LOVE this Alaska series btw....so well done!
Hey Elizabeth - not a silly question at all! We did not need to carry extra cans. We have a 60 gallon tank. We filled up/topped off in Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson, Muncho Lake, Watson Lake, Teslin, and Whitehorse. We shoudl have filled up in Beaver Creek, but we didn't and were running really low rolling into Tok, but we made it. Definitely fill up at Beaver Creek. That was the only time we ran so low that we were nervous. Otherwise, all the other stretches between the other towns we felt completely comfortable and not nervous about fuel levels at all.
@@ArtWeThereYet Oh this is GREAT to know! Thank you! Looking forward to your next vlog 👏👏👏
I agree with what they said above, fill up at each stop along the way, you don’t want to run out of gas.
Just saw your video. Wow! My wife and I have made that trip several times now and plan to do it again next year. We live in Alaska currently, but we travel outside every year. I would love to hear that beautiful song you were singing about halfway through the video. It’s your place I can listen to that?
Hurray!!! So happy you liked the episode and the song! The song is still unreleased....it's mixed (ish) but not mastered yet. I'm waiting for the perfect spot to integrate the music video into our episodes, and then it will be out! Did you see this episode, where we show filming the winter part up by Cantwell?? Check it out! th-cam.com/video/-oraet6ogzo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5qmPMgZCGjFnRl4w&t=722
Nice
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the way you sing mija music Bonito wants the name of the song n wrre did u start this journey and were are u from sending many bendiciones
Aw, thank you so much. The name of the song is "Every Chain". It is still not released - still waiting for the right time!
I grew up in Alaska and have driven the Alcan 5 times. It really is beautiful.
Were you traveling in two vehicles, who was in the Toyota?
I love the bus.
Great videos. 😊
Are you still in Alaska?
We are so happy you are enjoying our videos! We take turns driving the bus, but most of the time José is driving the bus. Yes, we are still in Alaska, in fact, we are planning on staying here for another winter and head down south next spring. We love Alaska!😁
@@ArtWeThereYet That’s awesome! Same cabin?
What is the name of the song you are singing!!! Its beautiful!! Been trying to find it!! 🙏💓
Oh that is so sweet! The song is called "Every Chain" and it is still in production. It will be released sometime this year!
If you'd like to shoot me an email at coraandjose@gmail.com, I can send you the current draft mix of it! A little behind-the-scenes :)
🙏
Love your song! Can you provide the link to your song and video you filmed?
Aw, this is so sweet! The song actually hasn't been released yet. We still have yet to mix and master the recording, and edit the music video :)
So stay tuned for that - it will be coming out on your channel probably this year!
What mont did you make this trip? I am planning a trip to Alaska for 2024.
This was the third week of September. We crossed into Alaska on Sept 22 👍
Which month did you do this road trip? Im doing it in September.
This was in September and it was perfect, you’ll love it! Hope you have an amazing trip 🙂
Driving from FL. It will be an experience for sure, great job on the video. I Will finish watching others tonight.
How many weeks would you recommend
@@jasoncruz3506 2 weeks.
@@jasoncruz3506 i’ll give you a better number when i Do it in September
Watched this randomly while searching for yukon road trips, amazing. One of the best and highest quality productions out there, tried to find the songs name where cora is shooting the video
Woohoo, happy you found us and are now on the adventure with us! The song is yet to be released... :). It is called "Every Chain", though that is a working title. Still deciding whether we will call it that or something else!
@@ArtWeThereYet its a amazing song, I already know its gonna be a hit, like what youre love is doing
Aw thank you!
The Prius can't be flat towed?
No unfortunately… ☹️☹️
Where exactly is 11.20 ? I am planning to drive from Whitehorse to Valdez but want to take this stretch of the road.
Hey there! This is the stretch of Highway 1 between Canyon and Haines Junction, right where Pine Lake sits to the north of the highway :)
They say Mt McKinley is the highest in the U.S.....we camped at that lake overnight.....
It is! In fact, it's the tallest mountain in North America and the third tallest in the world! We go deep into Denali facts and history in Season 1 Episode 4! Stay tuned!
What happened to your hitchhiker?
When our paths split, he caught a ride onwards to Dawson City :)
more singing please
We will soon release a music video 😃
You have an absolutely beautiful voice :)
Thank you so much!!
Can I join on one your endless trips
😊
15000 millions billions dollars for each 1babez 〽️
I want 15000 millions billions of dollars! Imagine how many lives we could all change with that kind of money!
Great video! Any plans on doing the Dempster Highway? or the Dalton Highway?
We did Toronto to Tuktoyaktuk in July and highly recommend exploring the Canadian Arctic. Here's a small clip I made on Dempster Highway: th-cam.com/video/3jqxZbVWnCE/w-d-xo.html
Hi, we did the Dalton Highway but unfortunately we didn’t have time to do the Dempster Highway. The Dempster look like an amazing adventure!
Nice , I drove once my semi from Calgary AB to Kenai Alaska , its beautiful but not a good route for drive on a Semi 😂because no service no truck fuel
How many miles do you get on a full tank?
@@ArtWeThereYet it was year 2005 when I was on that route and my that truck was brand new Volvo and have 250 gallons tank , in one fill up it’s run about 900 mile on that kind of road because you can’t expect good mileage when you drive on a bumpy road
Wow! What we would give for a 250 gallon tank! Our Bobby is a guzzler..
