I love the touch on politics. Being respectful and funny will always get you further than being salty and bitter with people
Great job taking down the tournament. We brew a lot in the discord but hearing more in-depth your reasoning for different card includes goes a lot farther than a text discussion can. So thank you!
Love playing Nadu in Arena.
Pro tip...i run a locust god deck and i run at least 6 Pongify type cards or deep freeze type cards....where the creature loses all abilities.
Thats nadu's cryptonite.
i think nadu is a really cool deck!
ive definitely seen evidence of lots of evidence for your talking points, like the inexperienced people picking it up based on hype, and how incredibly essential table politics are in this type of deck.
i had a game where three players were locked under a drannith, the drannith player was locked under a harbinger of the seas, and nadu asked the table if we would be okay with drannith being bounced (there were two spellskites in play).
kinnan was really excited about the idea, but i reminded them that it would result in nadu immediately drawing at least 12 cards and probably winning on the spot.
nadu tried to smooth it over with 'yeah no worries, im just asking questions', but the trust damage was done, and they never got back into that game.
overall, i think your analysis is very good and detailed!
i never saw the appeal of sea kings blessing before, because i always thought theres gotta be better stuff to do, but i see the value of how much it doesn't look like a gamewinning spell even though it usually is.
Nice analysis! As a non cEDH player I found a lot of really interesting insight into how cEDH players think throughout this video!
The best resource for cEDH in existence!
this is false
I really enjoyed this! I'd love to watch more content like this. You have a lot of valuable knowledge.
Amazing video...
Since you’re running basically the full elf package, would you consider running priest of Titania which also makes infinite mana with umbral mantle?
Yeah totally. I didn't feel I needed it but it's absolutely a reasonable slot
Thanks for the reply. I was also thinking of testing out awaken the woods
I've only started playing magic in the last year (I know this far down the rabbithole already) and don't play CEDH - not nearly competent enough for that, but this was exceptionally insightful deep look into styles of play and deckbuilding thank you! I'll defs apply some of this to my much jankier brews.
Displacer kitten is mainly used for flickering Nadu to reset target triggers for all creatures, or flickering e-wit, last use would be protection.
Great job
You have amazing videos about cedh and canlander theory, 10/10 resources
Not even done but really liking the video...
Great Video and I dont even play cEDH :D But I love ur explanations and thoughtprozess!
The Canlander to cEDH pipeline lol
I am for including Kitten, it is just there if Combat damage is not possible.
This video was a delight
In the words of the 1982 surf rock anthology cassette "Surfin' USA," the bird is indeed the word.
Surfin Bird!
18:45 It turns out, Nadu already comes with double Nadu triggers 😝
More Naru please 💪🏻
In Birb we trust
thoughts on Fanatic of rohnas over the boreal?
Nadu is the broken card from MH3. I have to try and build an enchantress voltron deck to see if they're that strong even in that casual of a setting.
I literally called you going and getting free money at this thing lmao congrats gamer 🎉
The Mox Diamond I won is getting converted into a dual for Joe King 2 lmao
hype
@@Joking101 We appreciate you funneling cEDH prizes into the canlander sphere.
I like spellseeker to get seakings blessing or sylvan paradise, its pretty good card advantage
i play nadu online. what do you recommend to replace sea kings and sylvan paradise?
two other good cards
@@Joking101 im leaning toward sylvan library and fanatic of rhonas. both not so threatening cards that give great value
So I adore playing Nadu.
He is just literally fun and I personally do not take those 15-20 minute turks unless I know I'm winning & the table is making me go through the line manually.
Secondly, while I do agree that people should not let "Nadu do the Nadu thing", this to me means that your opponents should not allow you to have your shuko or the other artifacts. Nadu on his own is not that scary....it is the things in the 99 that make him a green Hulk-Bird. Lol
Lastly, not many people are running artifact hate stuff that blow them up like force of Vigor just yet, so I'm not entirely sure just having your shuko's out on the board is an entirely bad thing. But at this point, they should not let Nadu hit the board. Lol
Also imo, Displacer is an include in the deck just bc it wins you the game. 😅
I really like the idea of playing Nadu, but even at a week into the actual release of MH3 I feel like I’m behind the curve. As someone just getting into cEDH, the politicking is something I’m not used to. I will build the deck, but also build T&K lol
The best deck in the format is a great place to focus on politics because the gameplay itself is a lot easier
PNW cedh recommended. 🎉
Bring Paradox back or ban Nadu.... Please RC
I totally agree on the point that casual players are going to play this card as a 7 which will lead to it getting banned. Also Nadu is one of the laziest card designs in recent memory. They designed the most busted Simic ability of all time then did not want to balance or fix it and just threw on "only twice per turn" so cringe.
Hard agree. I really dislike it. Power creep needs to be stopped. Treasures are bad enough
Is showing your hand... good sportsmanship? I understand politics, and some deception in good fun, but this video really starts to come across as a defensive ramble justifying your bad sportsmanship lol. I'm sure it was well played too.
this one is for the algos
can you bite me?
Revealing your hand in a competitive environment is top tier cringe
It really ought to be banned. Most arguments against banning it are reasonable, except I know a way-too-good deck when I see one, and this is obviously it; frankly, I don't really see how anybody could play with it and disagree.
I'd really really rather not get into whether or not it should be banned in the YT comments of this video.
@@Joking101 haha don’t worry I agree that you shouldn’t 😂
Not sure what you're talking about. Nadu is about a 7.
@@verzen did you even watch the video? No it’s not
@@jacksnipe2441 The joke went right over your head.
Everyone claims their decks are a 7. Nadu is obviously CEDH
