Your son was so proud of you , he’ll never forget that 😊 I remember my dad ran the Motherwell marathon when I was about 8 and I still remember that day👍 you have the added bonus that in years to come he can go into TH-cam and watch you 😊
Totally agree mate 👍. One of the main reasons I do TH-cam is to have a full video log , so that I/we can look back in years to come. Even my grandchildren eventually. It will be all here 💯. Yeah definitely mate it hugely inspires them and makes them wa t to do marathons etc too. Which is absolutely epic 😎.
Congratulations Stephen. Fantastic running. 💪🏃🏻♂️ 💥 Great Vlog and lovely to see you finish with your boy. You could see the pride on his little face 🥰
Thank you Donna 😊. Yeah it means the world to me that our little family taking inspiration from huge moments like this. They all done so well that day to also to be there the full day supporting me. Honestly it was such a good day and everything just clicked. Well apart from that last 10k 🤣. I was very happy to take away that 14 minute pb. Thanks again for tuning in I really do appreciate the support 🙏.
Well done mate! Thoroughly deserved after all that hard work completing that training block. Epic at the end crossing the line with your boy! What a moment! 👌
Thank you mate 👍. What a day it was 🤟. Yeah ot was such a long training block wasn't it? Think I'll stick to 16 weeks in future. Yeah mate making memories that will last a lifetime 💙. Thanks for checking out the vlog mate 👍 👌
Superb mate !! The hardest part of the day is completing it and you done just that. Well done 👏 . Such a hard day at the office with the sun etc . But we all smashed it. Thanks again mate 👍
Well done Stephen you smashed it pal. I also ran this marathon. It was a tough course especially the loop along the coast. The heat didn't help. I'm still happy with my sub 4. The support was amazing especially for the last 6 miles. I've ran the Rome Jersey and Paris marathons but the atmosphere and support in Edinburgh was unbelievable the best I've experienced so far. Well done again
Thanks mate 👍. I really do appreciate that. I was very happy to come away with a huge 14 min pb ( will cover in the recap vlog) . Massive congratulations on the sub 4 that was epic 👏. Well done. It really was an epic experience this year especially along portobello beach. It was incredible 👏. Give me a shout if you see me in your next race and thank alot for tuning in 🙌🙏.
Fantastic video and very well done on your time Stephen. I was looking for you after the run (came in 4hrs 15mins lol, you were probably on the way home) im at that phase the now where im happy just to complete a Marathon without any dramas, anyway i was 11 minutes faster this year as i was 4hrs 26mins in 2022. So that was a wee bonus....but man that last 10k was one of the toughest and i got mild cramp in my quad at mile 23 but i refused to walk or stop, when your going through hell you keep going!!! The support from the Edinburgh and Musselburgh crowds was absolutely fantastic. Glad you had a great day. Your videos are superb.
Epic mate 11 minutes faster thats awesome 👌....well done 👏. Honestly mate it's comments like this that make it all worth while 💯. Aw I'm gutted I didn't get a chance to see you pal. Haha I was straight up the road with the family. They had been about all day supporting me 🤟. The crowds this year were fantastic weren't they. I'd go as far as saying it was even busier this year and everyone done exceptionally well to support the runners. Your totally right mate the last 10k was solid lol I really had to dig Deep on those last few miles. I did see folk double over in cramp and stuff also. I really think people need to look at salt intake and electrolytes on the day as this is what kills you on the final stages. I was very impressed at how my nutrition helped me this year. Once again thanks for tuning in mate 👍. Its very much appreciated with your kind feedback 💯🤟
Hi Stephen. Great video. Thanks for the motivation in the build up to my first marathon. I was the wee guy with the yellow beatson top that said hello just at the start of the country park section. Cheers Stuart 3.30.37
Ahh this is epic mate! 3:30 is incredible. Good on you! Thanks also for giving me the shout to say hello it makes so much of a difference 💯. Your very welcome mate I hope you enjoy them and keep being inspired to smash your goals 🤟

Hey Robin 👋. That's incredible! Really well done. It was a tough day if 6ou didn't have everything on point. Glad you were able to smash out a pb 🙌. Well done. Thanks for checking out the vlog 😀
Cheers my man 💪!! I'll cover the full ins and outs on the recap vlog but you helped me massively, and I thank you. Well done on that PB, Stephen 😃I got a good time that day as well - very pleased with the day. It was great to meet you and thanks for the shoutout too 🤝

Mate.... you were an inspiration to me from the stage joining in on my vlog 🤟. To see you on those final miles I just wanted to run with you. I was struggling myself lol. Edinburgh is really amazing when you look at it 😍. Mostly flat and to be honest every marsthonis hard when it hits 21+ miles. Thank you mate for being a big part of my day 💯
Hey Paul 👋. Thanks for checking out the vlog 😀. I try to capture noat of the race and give folk a true experience of what race day can be like. Haha, I'm glad you managed to capture yourself on there, too, mate.
Epic run mate, very well done! That heat was something else in the final 10km or so but we got it done regardless. My legs weren’t at their freshest being only 5 weeks since London but chuffed to only be 5 mins slower than last year, finished in 3.25.01 ✅
Wow 3:25 is incredible mate especially after just doing a marathon 👏. Well done. Thanks mate , yes your bang on. That last 10k is what either makes you or breaks you. Thanks for tuning in mate it's very much appreciated and I'm glad you enjoyed the vlog 😀.
