This was excellent. After randomly coming across Cathy 3 or 4 years ago it answered many questions I had. I also came across Unpacking Japan for the first time so will be digging into your content.
I was told おはようございます by an embassy worker when it was afternoon. So, it’s not only used in the entertaiment industry. She explained it to me as “we use it when we haven’t seen somone for a long time, so instead if starting from the middle of the day, we start fresh and use good morning instead”.
Do you know that ‘otaku’ - お宅 now means nerd, but used to mean ‘your home’ (ie implication being someone who used to spend all day ‘at home’ (basement dwelling gaming nerd?))
Cathy is an awesome person!
Cathy have a pleasant voice and it's a great story of hard working of make her dreams come true. Thanks for the Interview.

She's awesome and so glad to see her doing well.
A really good and interesting interview. :-)
hey, it's your flashy fashion reporter Cathycat
I don't like Otaku, I don't like Harajuku, I don't like geeky stuff, but I like Japan and I like her

可愛い!
Tip: Japanese don’t actually use the Kanji for かわいい?…(because the roundedness of ‘かわいい’ is cute, but 可愛い is considered ugly.
Is this the first interview she's done on this? I've been watching her for a while and never knew her origin story
She also did an entire episode on her podcast “cat with beard from Japan”talking about her “origin story”
I knew she spent time studying in the UK but that's all. It was great to get to hear more.
I promise I will study harder.
