@@psijicassassin7166 Abaddo is the artistic director who recruited the orchestra members. True, they might not need a conductor, but he is part of the operation.
I was in a performance of all six concertos once, where two musicians were very good at playing together. They would look at each other quite frequently and exchange a lot of smiles. At some point it became obvious that they were a couple and had probably practised the pieces together.
By far the absolute best performance I have heard of this wonderful concerto by the greatest composer who has ever lived. Tempos are amazing and the ease at which these seasoned musicians play is unmatched.
After my guitar playing music journey passing from Rock, Dance band and then to modern Jazz, I found the greatest prize of all - BACH. I don't think there are any words to describe the full influence that this genius has on music right up to this day and in future. That is musically, technique and spiritually. I can only say he has made my 83 years of music experience complete. Thank you JSB, Sir.
I read that “old Bach” fell out of favor with younger composers for years. Years later at a gathering, Bachs Chromatic Fugue was played, sending Mendelssohn into ecstasy, he had never heard Bach.
I've loved this masterpiece since I first heard it at 5 years old. I love the bit starting 04:11 where the melody is passed from one player to the next, and how engaged everyone is, especially the first viola who smiles as the cellos take over for 5 (?) bars of semiquavers. Great performance!
There are so many versions of the Brandendurgs on TH-cam that are recorded badly making them sound like a wall of sound without dimension. This one is very nice and sounds human in the best sense. Thanks!
3:11-3:15 the young female violinist can’t hold the sense of accomplishment in her facial expression that “we nailed it”, that can be clearly seen. She exudes happiness!
I wonder why this group of musicians call themselves Orchestra Mozart? I´ve never heard them playing anything but Bach on TH-cam. And they play Bach so well that they ought to concider to change their name to Orchestra Bach!
¡Excelente! Mil gracias por compartir.
I remember this music was included as a midi file in the first computer that my father bought for the family. An IBM 386 back from mid 90's running windows 3.1 or something. Since then I fell in love with the Brandenburg concerts.
I discovered Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata on an old Amstrad 64 game. It made me feel like nothing else, and this was before I discovered classical music.
You miss out on a unique opportunity when you do not provide a link to an MP3 purchase of this performance on Amazon and iTunes. I buy songs daily on Amazon immediately after hearing them on TH-cam, or sometimes WHILE I am listening to them on TH-cam. TH-cam makes the introduction of performer and purchaser. But it is entirely up to you to ensure there is a product to purchase. Many busy professionals buy music this way now. But you have to catch us in the moment of enjoying it and provide that one-click link to make the impulse buy easy to do. Otherwise we move on to the next thing that moves us AND offers an easy purchase.

Yes, it's as though Spring is begun, flowers bloom, birds nesting, the orderly hurriedness of the ants and the glistening of meltwater and blue skies over thawing mountain peaks, it's a cleanse of Winters harsh confinement and the joyful and resplendent release into the Vernal expression, quite simply marvelous!

Claudio Abbado and Orchestra Mozart Teatro Municipale Valli, Reggio Emilia, 2007 Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No.3. BWV 1048 00:06 I. Allegro 05:19 II. Adagio ma non tanto 05:44 III. Allegro
I'm always a bit baffled when people say stuff like "Bach made the most emotional and spiritual music" - I find he tends to be quite clinical - but this and Concerto 1 really are great. Wish there was more like this
Tempo y sincronización perfecta entre los maestros. Coincido en que es la mejor interpretación de este concierto que he escuchado, parece que lo ejecuta un sólo artista por la sincronización perfecta. Gran alimento para el Alma..
this is an amazingly rare and beautiful performance - all the musicians are connected in a mysterious way - thanks for sharing (great sound engineering too!_)
Bach invented the musical equivalent of Tennis of Ping-Pong in the third part of this masterpiece ... Especially in this masterful rendition under the great Maestro Claudio Abbado, it becomes evident how playful music can be ... For me, this remains the most "authentic" recording among all so-called "unauthentic" recordings of Bach´s third Brandenburg Concertos ...
En medio de esta cada vez mas deprimente sociedad, escuchar a JSB es una alivio para el alma, para el corazon y para el ser. Es la musica de DIOS atravez de la manos de su musico mas grande.
Violist here 👋 favorite piece to perform .
The smiles and nods between the musicians make this masterpiece complete.
I don't see why Abbado needs to be there. There are many ensembles that don't use a conductor for this music.

Makes it a brilliant performance. And I’m not British…

The best rendition of this I've ever heard. Just breathtaking.

When I was very young, I thought that third movement was the most thrilling thing I'd ever heard - and I still feel that way!
When I was a teenager, this movement got me high, as did the 3rd movement of #1, the 1st movement of #2, and the 1st movement of #6 🎉
It's life in all of its liveliness.
Sehr gut

Lo máximo Bach !! ❤amo está pieza y me eriza el sonido de tan sublimes partituras 🎼
It's amazing how rapidly the musicians can play the second movement of this concerto, especially the violinists.
Love it when they push the pedal down on the 3rd movement. Volume is sometimes pushed to 11.
Wow Maestro Abbado’s magic touch w great musicians - rarely have I heard such warm, lush strings. Beautiful.
It's incredible that each individual part was swirling around in his head.
It amazes me that one man conceived this beautiful music in his mind and was able to put pen to paper and write this. ❤
This music is what I will miss most when I die.
I agree, I will surely miss all the classical I'm fond of.
Maybe this is the music God has in heaven 😊
Hopefully you won't my friend
Music after this life will probably be even better! But Bach's music truly is a great blessing.
I’ve heard dozens of performances of this work, and this one has to be one of the very best. Tangy, energetic, yet lyrical.
I said the same thing - just now - before I read your comment . Dittos
I concur.
Me to. It sounds weird idk why, maybe they made some extra aranges? Sounds weird. There some second and 3rd voices ringing weird. Why?

Yes! And the cellos from 4:25 to 4:36 are amazing!

Greatest piece of music ever written - EVER.
It may well be !
Absolutely beautiful. I loved the camera work and editing as well. I love to see the facial expressions and interaction of the players.
This highly technical piece was played musically. Chloe performed masterfully and I enjoyed listening.
I love this adagio style of this piece

Great moment in Music. It’s a Pleasure to play such piece left to us by Genius of Bach.
His music is so perfectly balanced. Toccata and Fugue in D Minor is like this too.
