11s regeneration, although not my favorite, will never fail to entertain me, simply because of Clara's reaction to it. One second, she's saying goodbye to her beloved best friend, the next, she's staring into the furious eyes of a rabid Scotsman 😂😂😂
It's the tragic nature of it that gets me. The 9th, 11th, 12th and 13th Doctors' last words were all triumphant speeches, with the 9th Doctor accepting that despite everything he was still a good man, the 11th Doctor saying he'll always remember when the Doctor was him, and the 12th and 13th Doctors essentially talking to the Doctor they're about to regenerate into, but the 10th Doctor's last words are of a scared man who isn't ready to die
My favorite regeneration is still 10’s. Not only is he the best Doctor, but his regeneration was the best (and also the saddest thing in the series). It’s so devastating seeing that he’s not yet ready to regenerate (which makes sense bc timeline-wise, he had the shortest span). He doesn’t have a big long speech, and instead, we see this man who we all love and have seen as a hyperactive man-child who disguises his crippling loneliness die alone. After all the torment he went through in the episode, here is is, dying alone and letting us see his heartbreak. 10 let us into the Doctor’s emotions and mind more than any other Doctor, and when he’s leaving we once again see his vulnerability and heartache. And his vulnerability in the scene coupled with the torment he went through just makes it all the more real (and painful).
Nope he’s just a soy boy…they made it over dramatic for cheap drama, it didn’t even make sense for him to bitch abt it, he literally isn’t dying but they made it out as if he is. Capaldis doctor is the one that had the most depth by far, heaven sent is proof of that, I mean we get a whole damn episode about him dealing with his grief and we get a lot of insight into the doctors thought process. Towards the end of 12’s tenure he is as morally good as the doctor ever gets. 10 is just beyond overrated because of his episodes, and his fans state “he’s the best” as if it’s a fact when it isn’t.
I love that 13’s last words were “doctor whoever I’m about to be, tag you’re it” cause in a way that’s how she came into the role. Tennant was told “the newest doctor wants to give you a call” and when her name popped up he welcomed her as a fellow doctor. So her “tagging” Tennant back into the role is like it all coming full circle
I really wish CAPALDI had a least a 4th series. There was something about Series 10 which really got Capaldi going, felt like a fresh reset. But I’m glad that in this universe we got him as the Doctor :)
Love some comic relief after an emotional regeration scene 😢 "Well, here we go again!" "Change, my dear. And it seems, not a moment too soon" "I hope the ears are a bit less conspicuous this time" "Just one question... do you happen to know how to fly this thing?" Classics 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It took a long time, but that was the moment where I really felt she IS the Doctor. It’s a shame it didn’t happen earlier for me but I do still think she was a pretty good Doctor.
@@Yickerd I feel like if she was given better writing her doctor would’ve been receive better because I also really loved her portrayal, but the writing in that season was not great
It feels like The Doctor's Regenerations reflect their emotional state at the time of letting go? Ten's Regeneration was destructive and violent because he fought not to go, whereas Eleven was completely at peace with his death and leaned into his regeneration, so easily flashed into Capaldi. Capaldi wasn't fighting, but he delayed Regenerating to caution Thirteen, so his Regeneration was more destructive than Nine or Eleven.
Ten is my favorite Doctor but Eleven’s regeneration is the most beautiful. Between the speech, the music and just the way it’s done makes me cry every time
I noticed that Capaldi resembles the War Doctor, which has me wondering whether that Doctor's mind was fighting with the other selves to regain control of their single body.
I love that the tardis goes to earth when it crashes from David to Matt's transition did anyone else pick up on the fact that it crashed in Scotland which was a nice little touch i thought to David being Scottish
I feel like in each regeneration, the actors themselves share their own thoughts as well as their Doctor’s: Eccleston explains the process for the new fans, compliments his costar for a job well done, happy that the reboot was a success. Tennant seems to have just processed that this is last scene, and realizes he wasn’t ready as he thought he was. Smith swears to always remember when the Doctor was him, as if he’s thanking everyone for the unforgettable experience of being such a beloved character. Capaldi prepares to pass the torch, taking time to remind his successor what the Doctor stands for. Whittaker is a little sad to go, but is also excited to see what comes next. I don’t claim to know the thoughts of the actors, and I apologize if I got anything wrong, that’s what I feel is being said in each regeneration.
I like Capaldi's entrance the best. Just quick... doesn't like the color of his kidneys and asks the companion if she knows how to fly the TARDIS. I cracked up.
Also... I like that 13 had the good sense to be _outside_ of her TARDIS when she regenerated. Even though several regenerations have taken place inside without issue (1-2, 5-6, 6-7, 9-10), they're a bit unpredictable and can result in the TARDIS either crashing, or trying to eject the Doctor, or both.
I loved all of their exits, but 12th definitely had my fave post-regen scenes. P.S I just noticed that The Shepherd's Boy was playing in 12's regeneration, and it is now tied with 11th
One thing that always annoyed about the build up to 9th's regeneration was absolutely no talk of what had happened to Jack between the Doctor and Rose. I know they shoe-horned in a random comment during the Children in Need special about how Jack was busy rebuilding the Earth back in the future, and that the Doctor knew he was alive but had left him behind on purpose, but otherwise it was as if he had never been part of the team. Hard to imagine any of the later companions being ignored by the script writers in the same fashion.
I love when 10th regenerated into 11th that he was happy to know he still had his limbs, it's the delivery from Matt Smith that makes it hilarious even if it started out sad because at that time, we thought we would never see David Tennant again as the Doctor but we then saw his 10th Doctor return for the 50th Anniversary and then his return to Doctor Who as the 14th Doctor, my question is when 14th regenerates into 15th, what would Tennant's farewell speech be this time for the 14th because we know Tennant's 10th Doctor's line was "I don't wanna go" and if you've seen Infinity War then that line was used in the film for one particular character. Plus I love how the 12th Doctor says he hates the colour of his new kidneys

@@adamstewart9052 Even if they wanted to change the TARDIS, they'll just have the new doctor somehow break it to remodel it.
This show was the first show I discovered as kid! Over 20 years of being a fan ❤ always ready for a new adventure with doctor I hope this show never ends because when I have kids they will be watching this 😢❤
11s regeneration, although not my favorite, will never fail to entertain me, simply because of Clara's reaction to it.
One second, she's saying goodbye to her beloved best friend, the next, she's staring into the furious eyes of a rabid Scotsman 😂😂😂
Genuinely, it's sort of hilarious how there's a grumpy Scotsman staring around like a newborn child (which he sort of was in that moment).
The Tenth Doctor's regeneration still gets me emotional no matter how many times I see it 😢
To me, Tenth Doctor's regeneration and Amy Pond's death really made me emotional the most.
@@pikachucetthesecond4296 The Tenth Doctor was the only one all alone.
@@Laura-rp9rtSo was 13, thankfully she didn’t blow up the TARDIS during regeneration.
Which one?
The regeneration scenes are both heartbreaking and awesome at the same time if you get what I meant
No one's talking about it but I love how 13 crash lands into a train then immediately sprung into action.
Honestly? Tells you how much the doctor has learned!
Even someone who doesn't even KNOW the show Can tell
Fun how it almost looks like Rose went from running by the Tardis to waking up lying inside it- clothes very similar
I can never sit through Tennant's regeneration and not cry. its the "I don't wanna go" that gets me every time.
Even if you don't gel with a doctor, there's ALWAYS a sense of melancholy when its time to say goodbye
Try to be nice, but, Never fail to be kind. We need more of that here Doctor.
These are always fun and sad to see at the same time. You get a glimpse of what is and what it was with each regeneration.
Now you gotta do the classic series. Despite the modern being great, the classic is iconic ;D
Yes! I was a bit disappointed that the video only covered the modern Doctors since I was expecting all incarnations to be featured.
@@talesofawhovian9690 They didn't even show Paul McGann's regeneration into the War Doctor FFS
The tenth and forteenth Doctor shall always be my favourite ❤
Murray Gold's soundtrack is just perfect ❤
This is awesome as it glimpses each doctor saying goodbye and regenerating
Matt Smith brought me into the fandom and is my favorite Doctor Who.
“Dr whoever I’m about to be…..Tag, You’re It!”
That was an epic final line, I think the 13th Doctor's regeneration is probably her best scene in terms of her characterisation and the visuals 😮
@@azarothshadowsoulindeed
ngl the doctor who series is brilliant to have a protagonist who can regenerate, one of the few shows that can hypothetically exist sort of forever-
The 10th saying “I don’t want to go” breaks my heart
I think eccleston's doctor was so underrated i feel like he deserved 3 seasons just like the others
The Tenth doctor is, and always will be, THE Doctor.
True.....but thats just cos David keeps coming back.
10th doctor will fans that are blinded by nostalgia
I could watch the 13 to 14 transformation sequence all day long. Gosh. I am so excited
I really wish CAPALDI had a least a 4th series. There was something about Series 10 which really got Capaldi going, felt like a fresh reset. But I’m glad that in this universe we got him as the Doctor :)
Nah I’m happy with his tenure…yh his plot lines weren’t among the best but the character work was easily the best in new who
The dying 13th Doctor finally learned the most important lesson of time vortex traffic safety: don't drive under the influence of regeneration!
i love the 11th doctor, he is just amazing, funny and even accepted the regeneration as a part of being the doctor
Love some comic relief after an emotional regeration scene 😢
"Well, here we go again!"
"Change, my dear. And it seems, not a moment too soon"
"I hope the ears are a bit less conspicuous this time"
"Just one question... do you happen to know how to fly this thing?"
Classics 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I do have a soft spot for “KIDNEYS!!” As well. It got a really good laugh out of me directly after taking away my favourite doctor lmao.
"new teeth that's weird"
"NEVER EVER EAT PEARS" oh and "Laugh Hard. Run Fast, Be Kind!"
The 13th Doctor regeneration was beautiful!😢
I love it when 13th said Tag, you are it!😭
She was so childish! 😊
I love it!
So cute! 🥺
It took a long time, but that was the moment where I really felt she IS the Doctor. It’s a shame it didn’t happen earlier for me but I do still think she was a pretty good Doctor.
All those colors from atop a cliff are just so pretty!
@@Yickerd I feel like if she was given better writing her doctor would’ve been receive better because I also really loved her portrayal, but the writing in that season was not great
When 11 is having that vision of young and older Amy I tear up every time, especially at "Raggedy man... Goodnight"
I really like every doctor in their own way ❤
"IV'E GOT NEW KIDNEYS, I don't like the colour" will still be my favourite Capaldi quote
This show is the greatest!😍
It feels like The Doctor's Regenerations reflect their emotional state at the time of letting go? Ten's Regeneration was destructive and violent because he fought not to go, whereas Eleven was completely at peace with his death and leaned into his regeneration, so easily flashed into Capaldi. Capaldi wasn't fighting, but he delayed Regenerating to caution Thirteen, so his Regeneration was more destructive than Nine or Eleven.
Love the 12th speech regeneration a and it is all what Jodie is in her era.
Ten is my favorite Doctor but Eleven’s regeneration is the most beautiful. Between the speech, the music and just the way it’s done makes me cry every time
11's first was the definition of madman in a box.
18:07 I love that sound "Shush")
We love you, David. Can't wait to see you and Catherine together again xx
I dare say 13's final line is just as iconic as 10's. Definitely sticks in my memory.
I deadass cannot remember and I thought it was super shit at the time
David is basically the Tom Baker of the modern era of Doctor Who.
While Matt was the 5th doctor
Amy - "Raggedy Man" yeah that killed me.
😭
"I will always remember, when the Doctor was me"
he was my favourite. That episode had me fcked up 😭
22:33 gotta love the David tenant doctor callback
"Nice to meet you Rose, Run for your life!" Lmao
I feel like in each regeneration, the actors themselves share their own thoughts as well as their Doctor’s:
Eccleston explains the process for the new fans, compliments his costar for a job well done, happy that the reboot was a success.
1:39 And we haven't stopped running since.
I like Capaldi's entrance the best. Just quick... doesn't like the color of his kidneys and asks the companion if she knows how to fly the TARDIS. I cracked up.
Caption: "[Faint vworping.]"
I hadn't realized that the production team had finally come up with a spelling for the TARDIS noise. 😀
11th regeneration always brings me tears. I cant stop it.
Matt will always be my favorite doctor but I’m excited for another decade of Doctor who
I loved all of their exits, but 12th definitely had my fave post-regen scenes.
P.S I just noticed that The Shepherd's Boy was playing in 12's regeneration, and it is now tied with 11th
It's going to be so good to hear 13's theme again when she makes her inevitable appearance in an anniversary special.
The 10th Doctor regeneration to 11th always brings tears to my eyes no matter how many times i seen it
Old man Doctor’s farewell will always be the greatest.
This show is about change ! Nothing last forever and can be a good thing 😊
I think Tennant means it when he says “I don’t want to go”
jesus watching the 11th regen is heart wrenching I really hope matt smith returns one day I would love to see him as the doctor one last time my fav
9 and 11 got to have regenerations which served them as Doctors, 10 and 12’s were far more Russell and Steven saying goodbye to the show
I’m so glad David Tennant returned
"Laugh hard, run fast, be kind" sensational last words
I loved Capaldi's "Kidneys! I've got new kidneys! I don't like the color."
I love this show.
"I don't want to go" my favourite 😢
