Okay so I’ve been watching Doctor Who for the first time and I’m towards the end of the 10th Doctors era and I just have to say looking at this version of him with Rose has such a stark contrast to how he is after he looses her. Like, he’s so much more smiley and carefree and kind when she’s around, where as after words he has a sort of weight within him all the time.
It's a shame how a lot of the fandom have been all hipstery with 10 in recent years. I've seen him at the bottom of some people's lists which is just nuts. Undoubtedly one of the very best.
@Sasha05 10, 11, 12 are basically my favourites, three brilliant actors and depictions of the Doctor for me. I have a soft spot for 4 and 5 too if we go back to the classic era. But yeah 10 is fantastic and has such a strong run of stories and series which really benefit David Tennant's acting strengths. I do find it odd how some sections of fandom have cooled on him so much in recent years...
Tennant had the right balance between campy and serious, and he was the reason DW was actually quite good under his stint. Even episodes that were silly or full of holes were still entertaining because of his presence and energy. Frankly, I posit that the only reason Love & Monsters is remembered so poorly is because The Doctor isn't in most of the episode!
@@skykrasher4475 That's true, but my point is that most episodes are simply carried by Tennant and without him they'd be anywhere from mediocre to unwatchable. Blink happens to be one of those (few) episodes where Tennant didn't need to carry with his performance.

David is a total 10/10 total LUSH!!! He was, undoubtedy, THE BEST Dr! When he cried, I was sobbing!!! So human but with a smidge of annoying, a dash of bonkers, and a dark side that was pretty scary (not that we saw that very often) he was having so much fun playing the awesome role and it showed!!

The 12th Doctor (played by Peter Capalid) is the only Doctor who was Scottish in the show. But funnily enough, David Tennant is actually Scottish as well.
unlike Queen Victoria, the Torchwood mob are very amused (or impressed?) by the Doctor's entrance. Are they under orders 150 years (give or take...) later...to detain him by order of the Crown? Rose serving lunch in the school caffeteria...."she is not amused!".
I used to worshipped him because he is nice, cunning and handsome. Although the way he teases his enemies, making them feel miserable before face utter defeat by mockery or dark judgment, it's just not right. Being understandable and compassionate helps to avoid from causing such oblivious and terrifying mistakes, rather than excavate it further for fear and hatred.
