Man, graphics designers in the 80s and 90s really did just put together whatever textures they felt like. A checkerboard floor extending into infinity with the sky above it disappearing into that same vanishing point on the horizon? Why not!
That last part with an innocent script file is what affected me the most. Now I know where should put my time and effort. Because, according to this educational video, creating a virus and using it in your communication is how you can achieve the best results. Thank you for your great wisdom.
Thank you, Mr O'Neil. I now feel confident enough to email my family and friends my psychological horror literature, and fend off accusations I require a mental health assessment. The voices in my head also express their gratitude.
So, the revised mission statement reads: "It's our mission to effectively revolutionize how you do business on a global scale." It's like saying we're not just here to tug at your heartstrings; we're here to pull the levers of change. And maybe still make you go 'aww' occasionally.
Dearest Smithers, I hope this comment finds you well, but I must inform you of an error that you appear to have made in the production of this video. In particular, this error is seen at 3:11, within the visual illustration of the difference between "effect" and "affect", where you have written, "Negatively EFFECTS Smithers". The word "EFFECTS" in the illustration is actually being used as a verb, instead of as a noun, contrary to your other explanations; this is shown by the preceding adverb, "Negatively", which affects the word "EFFECTS". Because adverbs can only modify adjectives, verbs, and other adverbs, and the word "EFFECT" could not have been used as the former nor the latter, the only remaining explanation is that you mistakenly used the word "EFFECTS" as a verb. I hope this comment has a positive effect on your future grammatical endeavors, and I wish you well. Yours truly, King of Aluminum.
Lol. Gotta love those old school viruses and .bat or .exes that would do this kind of stuff. I remember I opened one of these when I was about 10 or 11 on a Windows 95 PC trusting someone on AOL and nuked my system folder. I hope this email finds you well. I have also noticed this grammatical error when watching the video above. I have come to the conclusion that this was a deliberate choice to add to the satire overall as it is ironic for Smithers to make such a mistake when correcting another for the same thing.
Kind Regards,
W.
Seconded, the image makes no sense on either side. But Smithers might just be flexing his paint skills.
This video has been in my suggested for about two weeks and I've been like, "Eeeh, whatever, looks dumb."
I was SO wrong!
It's SO good!!!
This tutorial greatly affected my relationship between me and my boss, thanks Smithers!!!
Keep going, these are gold
You know your email is truly well written when you get an invitation to your boss' office as a response. That's when they want to hear more in person and are almost ready to promote you. Another good indicator is if you get a simple "???". It means they want to know more about what you're saying because it's just so good. Usage of daring language is important as well to let the higher-ups notice your potential, as it is a way to show you're ready to take initiative.
I finally learned the difference between 'affect' and 'effect'. Thank you.
That McDonald's job application request was salt in a wound 😂
JESUS IS COMING SOON. REPENT TODAY AND TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS🙏🙏🙏.
Time is running out😢😢
That's the intended effect.

This is the video nobody ever knew we needed, but all wanted it anyway
90s is the best era to live! Imagine now is the 90s, how much it can effect our life for the better ☺
Please bring back Paul Perkenstien for a special episode! This 90's internet tutorial series should become your main focus maybe even with its own channel, you do them so well!
I am not proficient enough in English to express how enjoyable it is to watch such well-crafted videos like this.
0:32 excessively smirky smile is golden
the way his glasses sits on his nose gets me everytime
That turn back to the computer is perfect every time
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time 🤣
Thank you for this gold!!
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better! :D For us that started browsing in the mid 90s this is hillarious.
Bro is a genius. My intellect has absolutely been affected by the visuals seen on the video. I love the effect!
3:34 incredible how Opera knew about Hulu back then!!
isn't skycorp amazing?
@@paulmark992 I don't know. I think it's a little bit on the pornography-condoning side of humanity. And as we all know, pornography is dangerous to the mind of mere humans.
Oh it’s not a problem, it takes 45 minutes to download a file on my 56K modem anyway!
I was going to comment on how creepy it was Smithers was looking at Sailor Moon porn as i believe all of the girls in that show are underage, but i was relieved to find the added "big booty" tag. Obviously wanting to drink a high schoolers bath water is perfectly fine if she has a big booty! The big booty negates the rest! Glad I was patient enough to get the whole story!
@@paulmark992 totally!!
I followed his advise and it changed my career dramatically
I am deeply and thoroughly in love with Smithers. His adoration of grammar parallels my own. I am forever grateful for his excellent advice on etiquette.
My god, I have no words… absolutely brilliant! Love how everything is through a 90’s filter 😂
"Grammatically harassed" is probably one of the funniest and most absurd things I've ever heard XD
Also I love Smithers O'Neil's insane and maniacal attitude and approach to everything and how he does even the most horrible stuff with a happy attitude.
Why only 180k views? This content deserves even more.
Heh I liked when Smithers gets 'effects' wrong in his drawing. Like he stopped caring about getting it right at this point and just wanted to draw his boss like that.
His mistake was making me question myself.
Well, perhaps that is a sign of how the boss' grammatical tyranny 'affects' Smithers' grammar when writing emails.
Smithers O'Neil is my spirit animal.
God bless you Smithers O'Neil,
I wouldn't survive this Internet thing without your tutorials😂
I remember watching some of these in the late 90s, some of my favourites were "How to pirate music" and "How to upgrade your computer to watch hentai in 240p instead of 144p!"
I saw my nickname White Wolf at 3:41 and while it's a display theme, it still spooked my sleep deprived self seeing it in a skycorp vid at 3am lol
the ending is fucking LEGENDARY
HAHA THX THIS VIDEO MADE MY DAY
I hope you do "than" vs "then" in a future video too
More people need to know the correct wording
Smithers' wisdom has had such a positive affect on my life. Thank you Smithers.
Where has this channel been all my life?!
It's like all my thoughts and actions from my past being updated for the current era in visual form.
Thank you for a video worth every second.
Thanks for another valuable tutorial! Your sponsored segments are done so well!
Man, graphics designers in the 80s and 90s really did just put together whatever textures they felt like. A checkerboard floor extending into infinity with the sky above it disappearing into that same vanishing point on the horizon? Why not!
Nimesh seems like the type of guy to say "ummm actually"
He'd probably even say ERM
That would be great! :)
Excuse me Saar, if you could just....

@@every.single.time.2668I wonder what corporate initiative brought Mr. Nimesh to the role of VP?
I love this guy. Especially his gentle-like manner, but devilish action.

These videos can't come out fast enough. More Wide World of Web videos!
I love this guy. He knows his audience.
I've learned so much about the Wide World of Web thanks to Smithers
Love CyberKevin's appearance in Smither's emails showing that these videos are not self-contained
So, the revised mission statement reads: "It's our mission to effectively revolutionize how you do business on a global scale." It's like saying we're not just here to tug at your heartstrings; we're here to pull the levers of change. And maybe still make you go 'aww' occasionally.
Smithers has a positive affect on my day!
Thank you for the clear and detailed instructions. Will put this one to good use!
Dearest Smithers,
I hope this comment finds you well, but I must inform you of an error that you appear to have made in the production of this video.
I love this nerd with no life whatsoever definitely my favorite character
This is UNHINGED. Well done sir, looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
This video greatly effected me. I hope it has the desired affect on others as well.
I am begging you to keep this series going! 😂😂😂
Master Nexodus 👁 giving good advice to us again.
This man is brilliant.
Lol. Gotta love those old school viruses and .bat or .exes that would do this kind of stuff.
I remember I opened one of these when I was about 10 or 11 on a Windows 95 PC trusting someone on AOL and nuked my system folder. Never made the mistake of opening files from someone I didn't know or trust again.
