During this moment Travis was telling Sunil that he was watching a reactor who just said "freak-ass". I knew immediately who he'd watched.

Yooooo that contented look that Uriel had when he died, he was just relieved his family was safe. That one moment says SOOOOO much about his character.
And he was only that distance away from his family, where the shield couldn't reach him, b/c he was helping one of his guards get up in an earlier moment. He was a good guy who cared about his people.

Some insider DnD info about dragons if y'all are curious:
Power ratings of dragons are mainly dictated by how old they are in terms of years, which also is indicative of size, skill, etc.
The rating goes Wyrmling (less than 5) > Young (6-100) > Adult (101-800) > Ancient (801+)
For reference, the blue dragon VM killed in S1 is considered either a Young or Adult, sources vary...
But all four of these dragons here are considered Ancient.

iirc dragons don't get the ability to shapeshift into other species until they become adults, and we know Brimschyte could shapeshift.
I think he was a pretty young adult dragon, but an adult nonetheless.

So yeah, in D&D each type of dragon has a different kind of breath attack. Brimscythe from last season was a Blue dragon, which can breathe lightning. Red breathes fire, green breathes poison gas, white breathes ice, and black breathes acid.

Absolutely loving this Series. The first Episodes of Season 2 were sooooooo great.
In case you were wondering the Dragons of the Chroma Conclave are as fallows: the blue one from season 1 was Brimsythe, the Iron Storm, he was the youngest and weakest of the group, basically he was the errand boy of the other four. The black acid spewing one is Umbrasyl, the Hope Devourer. The white rhino looking one with the ice beam is Vorugal, the Frigid Doom. The green one with the poison gas is Raishan, the Diseased Deceiver. And finally leader of the group the red dragon with the jewel in his chest is Thordak, the Cinder King.
Technically, in the critical role lore, Raishan came to the other 3 dragons after making a deal with Thordak, creating the Chroma Conclave, so she's technically the leader.

Lance Reddick is the voice of Thordak. And he fucking nuked Emon.

The bit this always brings into my memory is the bit this happened in the game where Travis (Grog) rolled to attack and rolled 19. He picked up the damage dice ready only to be told “19 misses” and everyone just stopped and were like “19 MISSES!?!”
They knew what they were facing right there.
So, and you might already know, brimscythe was an adult dragon. They're on the level of current vox machina. All of the chroma conclave are ancient dragon's. One step up. All dragon's have access to magic, are considered bigger then adults by an entire size category. Have whats called true sight, this means no illusion, invisibility, or any kind of shape-shifting fools them. Finally there's thordak, as big as the other dragon's are, Matt mercer aka the dm and God of critical roles world has Said he's "roughly double" the size of the other ancient dragon's. And is infinitely more powerful. To call them 'boss monsters' is almost insulting, they're endgame at best.
Thordak might be considered a Kaiju after that beam

Fun fact: Matt said on their watch party, either for this episode or one of the next couple, that around 80,000 people died in the attack on Emon. Absolutely staggering numbers, especially for a setting where the population is far smaller than ours.
