Kevdak had these Titan Stone Knuckles He wailed on Grog as he chuckled But while Kevin laughed Grog sliced him in half And said, "These are mine now, fuckles!"
Also flayed the skin with the bear tattoo off him and had it tanned. I assume they changed it to the bear skin over the shoulders for ease of animation, but unfortunately means we probably wont get Grog with the matching tattoo later.
In D&D, magic power beyond the most minor spells (aka cantrips) is limited. Think of it like a battery. As they level up, they can hold more power, but it is finite. Once they use it all up, they have to wait until they get a full night's rest to top it off again.
You should totally look up the Killbox fight from the campaign. It was teetering on a knife's edge, and Laura's/Vex's quick thinking as well as Travis'/Grog's dice luck saved their collective asses. And maaaaaan I can't wait to see your reactions to Molly, since your faves right now are Percy and Scanlan XD
Grog's final blow is the pinnacle of a finishing move. Also I know it's a plot point but his uncle just going blatantly against his whole "the strongest leads" dogma by using the gauntlets to give him a leg up is just irritating
He's very much a survival of the fittest type of tyrant. He doesn't break any rules of Herd combat, but he also doesn't freely level the playing field. I gotta give him credit for playing smart, even if he us evil.
In the original campaign, Grog asks Kevdak if he now squats to piss. Which is a serious burn, but they probably changed it because it could come across a little sexist.
Fucking... 17:20 - 17:30 is so relatable. I am way too damn old for it to be current, but it brought me back. Thanks for the candid talk, guys. Too funny.
In the campaign Scanlan is a bard so his skills might be harder to translate into the actual show. He doesn't necessarily have a strong damage output but he was really clutch being the main arcane user on the team and provides the team a lot of utility. Pike mostly focuses around supporting her team as a cleric but she does really well against demons and undead, like in the briarwood arc. Keylith is a druid with natural magic so shes really only limited by what she can prepare to use in combat and how she applies herself. While they all use different types of magic they have spells leveled 1 to their current character level and can only use a certain amount of each per level. Like when Keylith teleports through trees that's like a 7th level spell slot used.
The threat continues to ramp up , but as the campaign continues, they have longer stretches of more slowed down questing, character growth and development, etc while threats slowly simmer and begin to boil over. They spend time fighting personal backstory BBEGs,, working through things like Vax's sealed doom, Scanlans daughter situation, etc
It's important to remember that hits and spells also depend on a roll of the dice. If you have the best plan and roll a 1 then it will still fail. It's worth it to check out a few of the side by sides of the campaign just to see when silly shit like that happens. Sometimes, failing can be just as good story telling as succeeding because then you have to adjust to the plan
Yeah, about their powers. Their spells get weaker the more they use them throughout the day until some rest (Best way I can explain spell slots to non DnD players.)
1:15 Grog died in the animation too it was just a blink and you'll miss it so they don't downplay death too much. Craven Edge says "I'll take you with me." Then Grog drowns in blood and loss of strength to the point of death. He comes back to see Pike healing him.
I think the implied canon is that Pike learned the resurrection spell that Kashaw used on Vex. "As long as the body is still warm" is the metaphysical equivalent of a back from the brink/flatliners type resurrection.
The difference between you guys and Scanlan on the romantic front is that you guys are in the same damned place. If some girl absolutely NEEDS to get in touch with you (such as if you end up with an unexpected kid), it's doable. You'll have the CHANCE to take responsibility. It might take a private investigator, but it's doable. Scanlan, though, being a wandering minstrel in a world without telecommunications, social media, or photography can more or less disappear into the aether moving from town to town.

Fans of season 2 have been screaming for the soundtrack to be released. Riegel went all out for this one
RAAAGE
“That would definitely ruin the mood”
I WOULD CERTAINLY HOPE SO
That was my thought too!
😂😂 I mean, unless the mood is murdering Scanlan.
Somewhere the banjos are playing.
Kevdak had these Titan Stone Knuckles
He wailed on Grog as he chuckled
But while Kevin laughed
Grog sliced him in half
And said, "These are mine now, fuckles!"
This is awesome and clever 😆!!
Do me a favor though, fix Kedak and Kevin to Kevdak* and it's perfect 😁👍🏻
After Kevdak was slain, Grog turned his skull into a cup,
Also flayed the skin with the bear tattoo off him and had it tanned. I assume they changed it to the bear skin over the shoulders for ease of animation, but unfortunately means we probably wont get Grog with the matching tattoo later.

@@andersenmacleod Nothing more disappointing than something like inflict wounds with a Nat 20 and out of a maximum 80 damage you roll 8
Just screamed in my car seeing the alert that Kill Box is here!!!

Long may he reign. Happily met Liam, Sam, Travis, Ashley, and Taliesen last year.
Your intensity for this, by ep 10, was a joy to see. Kudos to you guys for being so invested. Yous are Critters for sure.
Rest assured, there are ...things that are way more scarier than dragons.
like floating spinning balls
Hahaha, calling him out about avoiding his women was cold - loved it 😂😂😂

But tyrants never fight honorably.

"I don't see it getting any worse than this..." Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha [deep breath] Ha ha ha ha ha ...

just in case you didn't know:
What do Vox Machina do?
They FUCK SHIT UP!
Sometimes when they can't do stuff, it's because they've run out of spell slots OR the rolled low and it didn't hit.
I need a full version of this song, NOW!
Scanlan discovering he has a daughter, is the catalyst, that leads Scanlan into becoming a truer, more heroic character.

We're still waiting for the soundtrack/Score for this season. Both Regal and Acree went full 150% force on this.

Grog went full on hulk mode on his uncle!
Scanlan = Eminem it’s true

And an ass-whoopin' he got!!!
saw the notification...left my dinner!! lets do this
Best fight of the seaon

@@uselessmitten7836 So far we don't have anything canon in the animation to show Pike knows that yet, implied or explicit.
WHOOOO BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
Let's gooo! I've been waiting for this one to drop.
Have a nice day guys ⚡⚡⚡⚡
Please do Grimoire of Zero next!!!

Definitely a bad time to be tied up.
