I totally appreciate the aggressive style of BD's line. A breath of fresh air in a sea of lines who dance, prance, pose, and express themselves using facial contortions. Thanks BD for staying true and still kicking butt every year. I credit your staff and their philosophy.
0:03 Rise of Cut-Outs Era Matisse into Snare Break 3:45 JoJo Season 1 - Sono Chi No Sadame 4:10 JoJo Season 2 - Stardust Crusaders 5:45 Drum Feature - Resistance (Center Snare weaves in and out of pods portraying a despondent Matisse during the dark days of the French Resistance, to the backdrop of the fame wartime speech by Charles de Gaulle) 6:20 The Matisse "Ripple" 8:15 Drum Feature - OF ENERGY (by TesseracT) 10:23 Closer - Denouement (Grand Canyon Fanfare) 11:00 "SCV" ❤💚
I loved this book because of how hard it is, it makes up for the dirt, especially the cold roll that opens the break And 6:35, thats clearly not outdoor stuff
Thanks for the kind words. For this I used two iPhone 12s actually! I have used Canon cameras in the past, but I think the iPhone cameras are good enough now that I decided to try it out this time with just iPhones. I had one on a tripod and one on a handheld DJI OM 4 (which took me a little bit to get used to, but I eventually figured it out). Then in editing I put a LUT over all the footage to make it look crisp. I think it went well and it makes transporting gear and setting it up pretty easy. Also I should add that I'm shooting in 60 FPS, which I think is crucial for something like drumming. I noticed the videos from the official BD videographer look like they're shot in 24 FPS, which I think is a rookie mistake personally. For an activity as fast-paced as drumming, you gotta go with 60.
It's cleaning up y'all uh oh DCI ain't ready for thaaaaat. Let's go BLUE DEVILS!!!!!! Can't wait to see the finals vids. Here we come
What clean?
@@iLLuminatedWithDren He said it's cleaning up, which it is.

Yes finally someone can see what's going on and has been going on for decades ....
No one dances or "prances" as well as bd. Also have you seen colts? They feel like an early 2000s line. Such intensity!

@@andrewfilmsdrums Are they actually playing JoJo songs?
I don’t know everything about DCI, but their theme this year should be Stardust Crusaders. Am I right?

Man the blue devils used to be so clean and used to play with serious chops. This is dirty as hell. What happened to the Blue Devils? Such a shame.
More that the music they are playing is so insane that I bet it's super hard to clean, plus maybe always using a met makes it hard
Some of those diddles sound crushed. Still very good though.
Are dangly earrings on guys back now?
Oh I don't know if that's good enough to beat the Blue Coats but they have improved.
They beat Bloo by far, and then some
