@@bishoppettylevert4224 I disagree. I think the antics is what has people thinking he won. The little tricks and stuff.. Little dude was better by a mile.
It's kinda hard to explain. But short dude was actually better at controlling his sticks. Think of it as both sticks never hitting the drum at the same time. Just a cleaner back and forth of the sticks hitting the drum.
I think maybe cus he had a small break in his flow, during one bit with doing a trick with the sticks. The little dude kept the flow in his drumming better, but it was close for sure ! 🙌🏼🔥 I wasn’t familiar with this style of battles it’s so sick !!!
@@illgates2940 seems like the shorter kid may have been "due" to win. Kind of like a way to keep spirits up 🤷🏽♂️ but I was calling all the winners before he did and that was the only one I didn't call like he did.
Red hoodie has mad skills. My guess he was edged out just barely because he missed a couple of strokes on the stick-on-stick bounce near the end. Trick drumming and showmanship is awesome but best when performed perfectly with conventional rudiments. Everyone here is very talented and all deserve recognition in their talent/skill.
This is so sickkkk !!! I never knew there was battles like these, it pushes you to be creative with that single part of the entire drumkit. Biggg respect to these youngsters man it’s sooo crazy !!! The smaller kid was so good he never break his flow what led him to get the win 🙌🏼 respect ! 🫡
This was hard to watch but very exciting . They both are good friends and both play on the snare line at ADA . Congratulations to Young Myles . Only in 8th grade
@@ATLDRUMACADEMY most definitely! Both have bright futures and the ATL drum academy is a great support and teacher for these kids! However, ole boy in red was robbed, lol.
Myles played some more complex stuff. The other boy was playing fast but simple things. They both played fast and clean but fast and clean hybrid rudiments will usually win against fast and clean basic rudiments in a 1v1 battle. Also, instead of just playing rolls, paradiddle variations, and singles, Myles combined those with hybrid rudiments into his solo. Therefore, his win was well deserved. Lastly, ADA was the largest drumline there and had the largest amount of fan/parent support. So by default, they’re gonna be louder when ADA doesn’t win something. All in all, both did very well.
@@5Texas5 his last turn he stopped his cadence a bit, like he paused and it wasn’t clean. He played faster but the lil guy had more complexity and control

Taking nothing away from the all of the talent I just witnessed, they killed, BUT the advantage was clearly to the person who went second. All the second person had to do was outdo what they just witnessed instead of coming up with something they thought would win. You could even see the participants mouthing to their opponents before it was their turns as to who would go first.
The guy in the red hoodie had some nice spazz to it with that crescendo he did. That was actually really nice. The first red one. I just made it to the second red one and eh. I'm not a drummer so I don't know what is being judged and how these things work lol
2:05 the guy in red had the best feel by far. I cant believe the judge gave it to the ither kid becausnehe could play fast. The vuy in red was grooving
Was perfect until the last two rounds. However. i think the kid who won is actually the best. Even though kid in the red beat him in the round before. He must have been nervous in that round because he went crazy in the final round.
I think that pause was unintentional. I think he loss control of his stick. And he missed his stick at the end. He walked off cool cuz he knew he slipped.
Red sweater dude did not get robbed. Just cuz he do a few tricks dont mean he won. Little dude was better by a mile. Coach knew what he heard vs what he saw. The crowd saw the antics, coach heard the chops… 😅
Was reading the comments while watching and kept waiting for “red” to show up. I knew he was gonna get robbed because all the comments said he did. But then to watch him perform and actually see just how egregious the theft was made it even more shocking.
Bit of a weird judging situation.. Red got robbed, he did better in that particular round - but clearly the judge knew that the small bro had better chops from seeing him elsewhere. in the end, small guy's last round was overall better than Red's.
All them were amazing but the judge definitely was bias towards little dude because buddy in the red at the end had arguably the best solo of the night vs him and he lost the last 1v1 as well to me
Bro in the red was nasty. He got robbed, still walked off like a G
@@bishoppettylevert4224 I agree. He actually got that one.

Great job to all these young people, keep playing and continue to pursue this path!
The short guy had the cleanest chops.
Frfr , just straight chops 🥁
Yes clean
They all sounded so amazing showing naturally lifted talent you don't see everyday and i just love hearing the drum line from the originators

Red hoodie is 🔥 crazy control with the variable speed.

But we need to see more ladies and more competitors like these gifted young people

For me…
#1 dude in red
#2 lil dude
#3 all black that faced lil dude in the finals
