0 mobile phones, everyone’s enjoying the moment and singing their hearts out, miss when shows used to be like this! 👏

Audio quality's not bad for a footage among the crowd :)
    Great band!!!

I prefer Josh's vocal style, but it's a real shame that they don't perform this live anymore. He can sing though, so I don't really know why they don't play it.

maybe it''s too hard to play guitar and sing to this at the same time

most likely it is too hard to play and sing at the same time. When I write vocal lines over more rhythmically complex parts I intentionally make the vocal lines follow the the rhythm of the riffs very closely otherwise I couldn’t do them at the same time.

They played it live with Josh for the first time just a few days ago at Pulse of the Maggots UK. He said on his twitch stream before that he couldn't do them both at the same time because it was too difficult. Must've put in some heavy practice to get it down now.

@@PrdBlackWatch I saw the picture of Conor's setlist for the Pulse of the Maggots festival and After Lifeless Years wasn't on it.

As a vocalist/lead guitarist myself, I'd have to imagine the reasoning would be because the guitar parts are too hard to play whilst singing. There's definitely a different mindset when you're writing a guitar part that you have to sing over.

I was always skeptical of the previous vocalist because his sound didn't really impress me on CoaA and TSO. I still prefer Josh vocals for the direction Sylosis took, but damn this Jamie dude was a beast as well.

Thats probly because josh cant sing so I'm guessing any song with even a hint of singing/clean lyrics will no longer be played.

Wrong, he has clean vocals in some tracks.
