Anybody saying my boy don’t got pipes is bugging. Back after 10yrs and his voice still persists. What a talented bunch of lads making amazing sounds together.
it's been 10 years already?
Jesus,
His voice has really improved over the years too, sounded noticably better on the albatross 10 year tour this year than any of these old vids
@@krystof5271 Nice! I am a little upset I missed the brooklyn dates of that tour (new yorker native). But I’ve seen them quite a few times, on tour with some fantastic bands over the years. I just have to throw it out there though…really do not dig their new stuff.
The 10yr tour for this album is going to be magical!
The should do that tour for europe as well, I love that album so much
It was man. They had the hotelier and glitterer (title fights new groove) best show ever man
4 years ago(give or take some time) my friend showed me these guys when I was suicidal and abusing opiates. He said that it would help to hear that internal pain i was feeling in their music. It took me deeper into the feeling, but in that, it allowed me to really acknowledge the causes of the pain and it gave me an opportunity to purge that resentment and sorrow that had built up. Im convinced now that rich and emotional music is the cure to depression. It gives you a shot to really look at the pain and acknowledge that it is there, and holds space in your being.
Hope that you feel that you're in a better place now, man, that you're in control of life a bit more.. Things are crazy at the moment but you still matter. Keep going strong.
Music can help with the symptoms of depression, but it'll never fix the root cause.
@@italicpigeon you're right. I'm not sure that depression ever really goes away. It ebbs and flows. Particularly if it is born from trauma
@@italicpigeon well you can't fix it but you can absolutely treat it

this fucking man band man
MrGlobuler best band imo. Up there with old Radiohead, Joyce Manor, Turnover, but irrelevant to all those bands bc their sound is so balanced and unique.
MrGlobuler this fucking man band man?
lol what's that mean man
Mallory Lewis listen to Have Mercy they're good too
The vocal performance of The Medic is absolutely euphoric.
Well said. It is euphoric
the girl im in love with asked me to learn a foxing song on guitar, so ive been watching all their live preformances trying to work out even a part of a song.

4:18 - Inuit
11:03 - Den Mother
17:44 - The Medic
22:00 - Rory
28:46 - Quietus
the transition from the first to second song gave me fucking goosebumps
love this episode of bobs burgers
this is such an underrated band
Even Nearer my God which I was like whoah what are they doing here........I was like......I am starting to like these weirder songs.
notyoursavior78 I personally really love Nearer My God. It’s very diverse. Five Cups is such a mood and Grand Paradise is their best opener yet. Gameshark is one of the weirdest and poppies songs they’ve ever made too. A lot to love about NMG.
They really are though. I saw these guys with Hail the Sun and Circa on Circa’s Amulet tour and I had never heard them before those shows but damn I was instantly a fan. They played some of the tracks off Nearer My God before the album release. It was an amazing show, saw them two times on that tour and got to meet Conor. Honestly hope to see them soon again. I loved how crazy they are.
I never heard of foxing until a couple of months ago when my daughters told me to check them out and now I am completely and utterly addicted!!! I swear I could listen to Inuit on repeat 24/7!!! 💞🤘
Audiotree mixing far surpases a lot of stuff on TH-cam. Listening to The Medic again after 5/6 years and it's mixed nice and neatly, you can hear everyone.
I literally watch this performance once a week. I love Foxing!
played audiotree a few weex ago and when i got to the end where the give u one [only one] free lil shirt or whatever i saw a wrinkled, shriveled up foxing shirt sitting in a cardboard box on the floor...
i def left with just the foxing shirt
Whats your band?
I wish it would, I listen to it all the time and I have to come here.
Instantly in love with this band. Discovered them on a emo compilation video here on TH-cam. Got goosebumps listening to Inuit. Such a stellar performance from everybody. The drums were killer.
Yeah I’ve never really gotten into emo but I randomly watched their performance on NPR Tiny desk and was blow away by the band.
watched so many times...still so good
feelings of bliss... this whole album takes me back
This session has brought me back to life
the vocalist is the coolest person in the entire world, i want to meet him one day
I got to chat with him briefly at a show 4 years ish back. He's a super cool dude, very down to earth
Yeah! Thanks for uploading this one. I've been looking for the first session!
I hadn’t listened to Foxing for a few years until this came up on my recommended. Their music has so much more relevance to me now, literal tears.
The final scream at the end gives me chills every single time.
That transition from bloodhound into inuit runs goosbumps down my body and puts a shiver in my spine.
Everytime i re watch this Conor and the drummer especially blow my mind
Saw these guys this year in Philly with manchester orchestra. They give it man
Lucky you. Looking forward to the day when we get both bands back to Australia. Haven't seen Foxing yet.
That must have been a phenomenal show
this fucking drummer
Ugh yeah seriously. He plays so incredibly tight.
we need this on spotify :ccc
Oh nice! Yes, I remember watching some of this, seeing great potential in these guys. Glad to say I stuck around. Thanks for uploading the full session!
Another great find on Audiotree
This is one of my favorite performances on Audiotree.
rory is like the saddest song ever. it tears out my heart every time
alexandra d that song is a knife in my heart everytime i hear it
You're both just incredibly correct :)
I’ve heard the song probably thousands of times and it still kills me
I haven’t heard songs sadder than foxings, I’m open and kinda scared to listen to a band sadder than foxing.
kitteh soup flatsound is probably sadder. heart wrenching stuff
These guys are fucking great live! Don't miss out
In love with cymbal tap at 20:42. And then Conor's vocals right after. Good lord
She sayyyyyy .... Amazing song, i love this
This was everything
Only band I can listen to while running 🏃♀️
Fun fact: songs have me crying
i cry and run too!
So it's not just me
I cried while running to their music many times in college
such a cool band
"Rory" is the most heartbreaking song I've ever heard in my entire life. Like if it was written for me
Same thoughts
ach these guys are just so cool!!❣️
Saw them live before mewithoutYou. One of my favorite concerts. The lead singer played trumpet on one of mwY's tracks. So stupid talented.
wow. it's like aaron weiss meets thom york.
Great playing and beautifully honest songs!
6:40 that drop damn
wow these guys are amazing
Caught the show at HOB Orlando over the weekend...good stuff!
Saw them at Jannis 2 days after absolutely amazing
this guys are great!
One of the best bands to come out of St Louis in a long time
this version of "The Medic", mamma mia
The interviewer seems like a super cool dude.
Seems like a wannabe try hard hipster. Weird
@@TM-bn8pv Everything alright at home man
@@Solaxer no, I divorced my narcissist sociopathic wife and she's getting half the money I've made, and a nice chunk I will make from years of building my well off to do business.
Don't get married.
However, my point is about him trying to hard comes off as not genuine. It's tough interviewing people and he still needs to work on that. It's an art.
Also, I would guess he's a hipster if you gather the music of Foxing and his look and alleged "super cool dude" style, but maybe not.
Anyways, thanks for taking my mind off that monster of a "wife" I had for a minute! Cheers!
@@TM-bn8pv Tough times dont last but tough people do. Stay hard king
@@TM-bn8pv sad for you mate, best wishes!
I'm surprised at how much better they are live,I fucking love this band
Perfect.
my god this live version of the medic is absolutely unbelievable
The bassist has a Spirited Away shirt :)
Audiotree when are you having Foxing back on? Honestly it's one of the only reasons I'm subscribed because their sessions are some of the best performances I've seen and I wish to wake up one morning and be blessed by another one of theirs on your channel!
seconded! yea
just noticed how theres vapor coming out of the singers mouth at the beginning of Rory....idk why but thats just hella cool.
yeah dude wtf is that? just his spit or what?
@@dyafox7921 it might have something to do with how much hes straining his voice and changing the pressure inside his mouth. ive seen the vapor stuff a few times when watching singers. or it could just be that the studio was cold that day lol.
@@elliskorblickjay2686 I'll have to look into that! Either way you're right though, it looks cool as fuck
It's his spit being backlight by the light + the fuzzy flare coming off the light as well
fuck. I love these guys.
Love foxing. The one talking about Kirby makes sense now
My all time favorite vocalist. 2nd place is Isaac Brock (modest mouse)
this had already been uploaded my dudes
they're really good... kuddos from a former ofallon citizen
Lawl, my buddy showed me these guys, and we were astonished a band like this came from this area. I was born in StL and lived in the metro east for about half my life. Surprised I never saw these guys in the scene a decade or so ago.
❤
That Kurt Vonnegut answer 👌👌👌👌
A baby fox just walked up to the lounge window at my house. Thought you guys should know.
Inuit 👌🏼
we need another Foxing session for NMG/DDTM PLEASE
Yes
Audiotree! How do y'all record a live band in a small room like that so clean and clear? Ya'll shoult do a tutorial on how to do it!
Hi Jekris! We have a whole series on what you're speaking about! Enjoy: audiotree.tv/behind-the-scenes
Jekris Certeza all about mic placement and mic choice
@@AaronHiebLighting Definitely true! That paired with such a great acoustically sound room, the best DAW/control room and finally very talented ARTISTS/ENGINEERS! Haha
Inuit is so fucking dope
The host reminds me of the guy who does the Oblivion In real life sketches
From the thumbnail, I thought this was Jimmy Fallon's new band where he wears big glasses and rocks a beard.
It's not. You can move on.
rory is truly a masterpiece
I didn't know jirard the completionist played bass :o
I had the chance too see them live, i should of gone :/
u fucked up bud
Please, invite born without bones.
some kind of Vlad yea I'll take a boneless pizza an two liter coke
They are sooooo good
Cardinal's hat! STL represent :D
This band is great, plus I eventually figured out what Foxing meant this year (or late last). Great band name.
notyoursavior78 what does it mean?
It's when paper turns yellow or brown basically because of age: "Foxing is an age-related process of deterioration that causes spots and browning on old paper documents such as books, postage stamps and certificates. The name may derive from the fox-like reddish-brown color of the stains, or the rust chemical ferric oxide which may be involved."
I read somewhere that's where the band name does come from.
"It might be damaging." Lol. Probably! Gotta counteract it with some heavy positivity after. Sounds like maybe that happens. Binging Foxing right now.
Is there a place where we can download this session? The link to your webpage doesn't have a download link and this session isn't on Spotify. Cheers!
Remind me a lot of Cursive:-)
This is dope asf
Playlist please..
After the Heist, Professor decided to be a vocalist of an Emo Band.
Holy Fishsticks! they have grown up!
8:14 - What's written on Blake's left hand? Looks a bit like Jim Adkin's autograph :D
*SP0TIFY!*
6:43 is the coolest
Christopher Vanbuskirk yessss
that guitar riff oh god
I had to scroll too far to see this comment.
reminds me a bit to listener...hardly emotional...nice dudes!
These boys look like every male friend group in college
8:47 How do you do that? xD How do you not give at least a giggle with a reaction like that/ Chill vibes from everyone throughout the whole performance.
Didnt know Ice Poseidon had a band.
You meowgnificent cats! Love how the drummer goes apeshit at the end of Inuit :P
Steven Waldorf Best f-ing song EVER!!!
aggro trumpet
Medic was made for people like me
These guys listen to Anathallo
Fuck these guys are awesome! Late to the party! 🤦♂️
They remind me of Sunny Day Real Estate from Seattle circa 1993...foxing is so much better though...
repost dammit
Bassist had a Spirited Away shirt!
Why Not MN smh wadda bunch of weebs
In The Medic did he use a sampler? or what's that?
Its one of those old discontinued boss samplers made in the 90s
Forgot the exact model, someone mentioned it in another video i think :^)
What the heck is a sampler used for? Ive literally never seen or heard of one
@@juliajensen8278 used for adding extra effects certain instruments cannot add. Like the weird tapping in medic or the piano at the start of Rory
