    Bout to do the same to my truck except that right now it’s at 9 inches of lift and on 14 wides not practical anymore as a daily gonna go down to 3.5. Your truck looks wicked man

    Great video! Gonna need an update on the ride quality and overall satisfaction of the knuckle kit. I can’t seem to find any reviews on it after the install. Keep up the great work!

      I should make an update video, but for right now, I have over 10k miles on this setup and 0 issues so far. Ball joints are good, no cracked boots and no popping or anything while driving. Very happy with the setup and ride quality of the shocks. Definitely stiffer than the Ranchos, but I prefer it. Been towing my dad's 21 foot fiberglass bass boat and it handles amazing.
      With all this being said, it's a street princess and at most only drives on flat dirt roads, so it doesn't take any abuse off roading. As of right now, I don't have any complaints about this kit.
      Hope this helps :)

    Awesome video love the honest review! Just got a 2018 Chevy Silverado LT Z71 currently sitting on 33's rn and rubs just a little when I crank the wheel in either direction. Ordered the exact same lift kit and gonna try to install it myself hoping for similar results as yours it looks great!

      Looks to be about 74.5 inch tall and then the shark fin is about another 3 inches. So say, 78 inch tall. My bro in law has a 2500, a little taller than mine, and he can just make it in his standard garage. If you get different tires you will be a little taller. When we measured, the kendas run about a half inch smaller than a true 33 inch tire.

      @justininman3221 oh yea! Some big old rims.
      I am very happy with this setup. Got close to 20k miles running like this with 0 issues so far. Good ride, very close to stock MPG, tows great with my boat. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Obviously, it's not the flashest look, but I still get compliments on it from time to time at the gas station lol.
      Good luck and if you go with them, I hope it serves you as good as they have me.

      @MiniAcresHomestead sounds good! I appreciate it for talking with me about all that. So far I've not had any issues and I've been going on this setup for over 2 yrs but I am going to look into the setup you got. I'm assuming your truck has the 5.3 like mine does and depending on how steep of a grade I'm on it seams the setup I have feels too heavy for my truck but I don't want to mess with the motor or gearing.... "if it's not broke don't fix it" but I know I know... wheels and tires makes a difference in many ways lol I'm not really worried about mpg, I mean it's a truck plus V8 but I'm curious what's your average mpg? I do good to get 18mpg. When mine was a 100% stock I have gotten 29.9mpg. Got to keep it rolling! Thanks again brother hope yall have a great one!

    • @MiniAcresHomestead
      @MiniAcresHomestead  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @justininman3221 any questions you have, I'm happy to answer!
      And I think changing out your tires will def help with the power issues. I do have the 5.3 and 100% stock besides the lift and wheels/tires and I've towed my 21 foot triton with dual axel trailer and also cattle trailers up some steep stuff and I havent once thought i need more power. Just passed 100k miles on on the truck a couple weeks ago.
      On back roads on cruise control at 55mph I can get 23 mpg. Going 75 on the interstate with cruise control, I'm about 17-19mpg. Towing on the interstate I'm about 12-14mph.
      I never hit 30mpg with the stock wheels, that's insane!

  • @rizescrappy8729
    @rizescrappy8729 ปีที่แล้ว

    Since it's not even close to rubbing, do you think that I could fit the same size tire on mine with only a 2.5in lift? You can get a 2.5in from RC that doesn't require any cutting.

    • @MiniAcresHomestead
      @MiniAcresHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the minimum needed is a 2 inch lift for 33s, so you should be good, don't quote me on it though. I know these kendas run a little smaller than 33, so whatever you end up buying double check the actual size. Idk why, but tires can actually be bigger or smaller than the size they say they are.

      And yea! The kendas are really about 32.5s. When I was looking for tires, some other brands can almost be an inch bigger than they say. So, it would suck if you think your getting a 33 and in reality it's a 34.

      @@MiniAcresHomestead Of course man! Your videos are very well done, love the channel.

      I had the same way of thinking as you. Would love bigger tires but didn't want to get into cutting the body. And didn't want to mess with gas milage or power.

Take into consideration though, my truck is on pavement about 95% of the time and other than that it's on flat gravel roads. • @MiniAcresHomestead
      @MiniAcresHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว

      It rides great. The Ranchos that were on it previously were way too mushy. These are definitely stiffer, but when you hit bumps hard, it absorbs really well, like train tracks, for example. I tow my dad's 21 foot fiberglass boat with it does great. I'm very happy with how it handles.
