    Note that bending like this does not work at all for me. FreeCAD 0.21.0 and Sheet Metal Workbench 0.2.63. The part just doens't bend and freeCAD throws tons of errors.

    Good to see the sketching part and various sketch tools in use. However, for a beginners sheet metal tutorial, this is wrong way to design sheet metal parts. You should not start with the flat, you should model formed up using edge flanges then let the software flatten the part based on bend values that are specific to how this part will be manufactured.

      @@rcflyer2k For this part, there is no reason to start in the flat. You always start with the final designed part.....the flat is a by product of that based on criteria specific to the manufacturing operation. You always should be modeling for design intent of the final part then let manufacturing dictate to bend calculations based on equipment to form it.
