A lot of rock/metal bands seem to be having more fun when performing/making music videos, and seem to be so accommodating and engaging with their fans off-stage than pop artists. One of the many things I love about this genre.
Amen, and the messages that are hidden to the dill minded, self righteous, egotistical blind fools who walk past the truth in such a form. A test of heart that is from the real kingdom of eternity. Ok that sounds a but much but I promise it's true.
In the Music/Metal world people engage with each other, they have commonalities, same likes and dislikes, are approachable, friendly, help others in every way. In the pop culture...hint with culture, which tells you it's nothing good... they don't engage, they don't approach, they ostricize themselves and everyone.
@@justinwest524 We are not a dying breed by far. My kids and granddaughter are carrying on and bringing more into the Music/Metal world. And they're just 1/1 millionth of all doing so. We don't die, We multiply, Underground.
I can't even describe how much I love and respect these guys! Had my kids at a show earlier this spring and Winston pulls us all up on stage at the end of the show to jam with them to bottom feeder! Kids woke up the next day asking if it was a dream....
Met Winston at Goo in Melbourne back in 2003 when I was 18. Such a down to earth, nice fellow who was so stoked and grateful that I bought a shirt and supported the band. It was my first and only encounter that lives with me proudly until this day. All the best.
I remember when Killing with a smile was release, there was a huge hype around them and they didnt stop to grow since. Still, I'm always a bit sad that they play any of the songs from that album.
Well Meshuggah is an entirely different sub-genre of metal. They're straight up death metal or just heavy metal (depending your personal descriptions of those sub-genres). Parkway is metalcore. But i still see your point, though. They're heavy, but not the heaviest out there. Totally agree.
This video really captures the energy and atmosphere of their concerts. Just saw them perform live September 30th. It was fucking amazing! I even got to meet Winston. He stuck around after the show and took pictures and talked with us. It was a day I'll never forget. ParkwayFuckingDrive!!!
2 years later and I can say nothing changed! Saw them live back in January and they were so appreciative of the audience and super nice (and of course the show was absolutely amazing!)
Still hasn’t changed! I saw them last night and the crowd was absolutely insane! The whole crowd was a mosh pit for most of the show. The breakdown for this song was by far the most intense pit of the night!
Darkspear Live doubt he was there from a commercial stand point either. So in the first couple weeks of don't close your eyes EP he bought a copy??? I bet he doesn't even know about their split EP with I killed the prom queen. You can say I liked their material all the way to their beginning but he has not been a fan since their beginning.
Parkway Drive, Thy Art Is Murder, Northlane, A Night In Texas, Aversions Crown, Feed Her to the Sharks, Opine, The Amity Affliction, For All Eternity, Make Them Suffer etc. I swear Australia creates some of the best music.
It brings me much joy that they stayed true to their sound and became a great band that never gave in to what they think would be popular and bring them much success.
Saw them at the last carolina rebellion in 2018. I didn't know who they were. I was saying to a buddy of mine that I was really just killing time till Hatebreeds show, but then Parkway drive took the stage and stated that this was the best show to see that day. I was skeptical. Then my whole fucking world changed. I was 3 rows in and the entire throng of people turned into one giant mosh pit. I didn't know a single word of any song that day but was trying my best to guess the words as the songs were amazing, powerful, and we'll put together. 150,000 people attended that show. Every dam one of them were jumping. I went out the following week and bought there cds and have listened to bottom feeder everyday since then. That was one hell of a show guys. I liked them so much that one year later I opted to not go to the re named carolina rebellion and instead chose to drive several hours out of my way to see them again in Atlanta Georgia when they performed with after the burial and killswitch. The venue sucked but again stellar performance. Parkway drive is the best of the best, period when it comes to the show.
Bottom Feeder still is, and possibly always will be one of my favourite songs by far. Most definitely my Favourite Parkway song! Fucking slaps every time I hear it.
I've been following Parkway Drive for a while now. I finally got to see them last month at Sonic Temple and I'm so glad I did, it was by far my favorite performance.

Its kinda satisfactory to see them become this big !
I doubt you were, so you got a demo from these boys hanging out in Byron Bay at the Parkway house?
if not then you weren't there from the beginning
Meh I had that with BMTH but it broke my heart because the fan base wasn't big when the band was at its best (imo 2010-13)
