Oh snap a kid version of grind hard Barbie vehicles lol. That’s an awesome trick dude. For anybody that doesn’t know what Grindhard is checking out on TH-cam. You folks are great parents, they grow fast so enjoy it
Did you go from 12 to 18v, or 12v to 30v running the batteries in tandem? I have the 24v utv mx for my kids and with two of them it's too slow, was thinking of bumping to 36 volts.
Awesome mod we have the exact same car and I have been thinking about upgrading the battery also I have a lot of 20 volt dewalt stuff so I think I will hook in a 20 volt dewalt battery adapter on ours... Thanks for the video :)
Aww man I saw those n thought they were so cool they gotta outrun a basic power wheels with 20v lith but I guess not kinda glad I didn’t jump the gun on it. They should have atleast made them go 8-10 mph with no mods
BE CAREFUL!!! I destroyed my rigid batteries doing this... Sucks because the batteries are expensive. The batteries don't have built-in over-discharge protection, which means the power wheels will just keep drawing juice until the battery is so low it won't charge anymore.
You can actually buy a low voltage disconnect PCB that is simple to wire and you can set at which voltage it will stop supplying power. That way you can set it as the usual voltage that the power tool stops. There are many videos showing this for powerwheel mods
Do you know the exact MPH? I just bought the 24v buggy it says it goes 6 MPH if you're upgrad is better, I will do it, but if not then I will leave it.
Sorry to bother you. I bought this exact car for my kid but I think I’m doing something wrong. It seems I can’t charge it right . I blugg it in but it don’t charge. Could you make a video showing. I’m sorry I know it sounds stupid 😂
Does anyone have a link to where I can download the User Manual for this UTV? I just bought it used and I didn't get the instructions on how to pair the new remote I just bought.
I have a question...we have the same model and today it just stopped working manually, as in when my daughter drives it. It works fine via the controller and is fully charged but no movement forward or backward when the accelerator is pushed. Everything seems to be connected/intact...any ideas?
hi yes increase the voltage is a good idea. But I have one question, the motors are originally at 12V, do they heat up a lot at 18V? for example in larger terrain. I build my own lion batteries for electric scooters, etc. so it's not a problem for me to build a battery
We actually did burn one of the motors up I don’t know if it’s because we had too much weight in it or the battery but either way we are ordering the 24v motors for it now
@@throttlefamily4655 in theory, if you will want to buy 24V motors you should buy also the computer board and the player. Also I don't know what to say about the fuses. Your 18V battery will be too small for the 24V motors. I consider it is better to buy bigger 12V motors with more torque, for example motors 570 type instead of actual 550 type.
@@throttlefamily4655 thank one other question the link you put in the description the one fir the battery did it come with a battery or just the adaptor I got mine today but was just adaptor I thought it was both if you have a link to battery whould be helpful 😉
Your next video could be showing how to up grade the motors Then go into using two 18v rigid batteries which would give you longer run time and would give you more battery space under the hood
Using a battery with higher amps will make the battery last longer. Most of the time tool's come with a 2 amp battery but a 4 amp battery will last twice as long as 2, 2 amp batteries. Where as using 2 batteries at once say (24 volt x'2( batteries will be an over load because it will give it a total 48 volts at once. Where the 1 single 24 volt battery that's double the amps (4amps) will give you double the riding time. So keep the same volts and look for higher amp batteries.😊
Just be careful of putting a higher voltage battery on a lower motor it’ll eventually fry it
been playing games for some time double voltage is safe, i just watch temps or gear wear
Exactly
Few questions before the battery install
1. How long does the battery last?
2. How long does it take to charge?

Grind hard plumbing co is Awsome I haven’t watch their videos since the odessy build so sick
saw one of these listed locally for next to no money with no battery. i guess i'll go get it! when do we get the motor upgrade video?
Dude for real, I’m waiting on that one next. 😮lol

Upgrade the motors
Did you ever upgrade this I was thinking the same thing I just got my son
By upgrading the 12v to 18v, did you loose a feature like horn, lights or radio ?
No everything worked just as it did we are upgrading the motors currently to get a little bit better torque
Get rid of old battery/weight, use to run tools, drinks, sammich whatever back n forth from pool, drive, club house... Add sub/more bass 😂
How long the controller and motors can take higher voltage?
Get you some easy to use spay on cans of spray on bed liner texture it gives you real grip on any terrain
Hey man did you ever upgrade the gearbox and motors yet?
49cc engine. Real rubber tires. You ought to modify the entire suspension and everything. You get a rolling chassis UTV mate. Weld a rollcage on it!

That’s good to know I had no idea I’ll have to set a timer so I don’t drain the batteries fully
@@throttlefamily4655 yes I killed a 9amp hour.. $200 down the drain. :(

I have same 24v can I upgrade just one battery and have it run on 30v or i can put x2 18v and have 36v (im scared it would burn motors)

Dont you need bigget fuse to stop burning out
Hi, how do you recharge the battery please?
The rigid batteries or tools should come with a charger
I did this mod and burnt the steering motor right up 🤦🏻 now trying to figure out a replacement for that
Ohh no sorry to hear that I know they sell replacements on Amazon. Also you can put a resistor on the wire to help it from happening again
Does anyone have a link to where I can download the User Manual for this UTV? I just bought it used and I didn't get the instructions on how to pair the new remote I just bought.
great I just did the same, but with headphones for my children ;)
Nice way to fry your motor. Upgrade you voltage upgrade you motor too
Maybe is better to buy a 570 motor with more torque and a little higher RPM. I will do this soon on my Maverick power toy.
So the battery addapter is just plug and play ??? My kids one dosent have that module where your battery is plugged
Can the motors handle the added torque? Those gears are sometimes plastic.
So we haven’t had any problems yet.
I have a question...we have the same model and today it just stopped working manually, as in when my daughter drives it. It works fine via the controller and is fully charged but no movement forward or backward when the accelerator is pushed. Everything seems to be connected/intact...any ideas?
Check the foot pedal switch for continuity, and that it’s plugged in the receiver well.
