Nice work capturing this madness Graydon. You got some awesome shots that took this video to the next level. Every TH-camr needs a talented drone pilot like yourself!
Look up go cart drag racing. There are dozens of classes available, from age bracketed to engine size to chassis type. And if straight line racing is not your thing there are also dozens of race circuits for curvy tracks, both on and off road. Then you have other crazy small vehicle races like lawnmower racing and even some lawn chair racing leagues. The less formal events will have a ton of goofy "toy like" vehicles, some of which are indeed quite quick.
Check out the Power Racing Series!!! It's not about top speed, instead it's a tight technical course. Many cars start off as power wheels before getting full metal frames and big electric motors. I've only completed in one race so far, but it's an absolute blast!

Can’t help but think of Ship of Theseus when I see this “corvette Barbie big wheel ”. At this point it’s a custom build go-kart with a plastic pink shell around it.
Well, the only other way to get a Barbie 'vette to go that fast is to fire it out of a cannon. And you can only do that one time, unless you have multiple Barbie 'vettes.
Yeah but not everyone here is here for cars, I personally am here for crazy shenanigans with mad engineering like a barbie car that keeps up with real cars.
Imagine doing a street race with a brand new c8 Corvette, and you are about to win, but then this abomination just effortlessly passes you. Oh, the shame.
This is something I’ve actually wanted to see, I always knew it would lose to top speed but to see it actually put up a fight and race real ones was awesome!
I love the look on David's face at the idea. Edit: Also credit where it's due in all 4 cases you held on far longer than that Barbie corvette had any right to.
@@antonliakhovitch8306 The motors are fine if they can handle the heat. It's usually the controller and the batteries that limit the power. The controller needs to be able to put out all of the amps of the battery to the motors. You can take a stock E-bike, change the controller to one that has more phase amps and more adjustability, and gain over 30% power without adding any more voltage. The more amps the more torque and the more voltage the higher the RPM. He can do so much tweaking with what he has already and make gains.
Speed isn't really the problem. It would be absolutely possible to get a toy car to beat the real thing. There's plenty of RC cars that can do it. The problem is driving a car this size at high speed, and not dying 😏

I use those same batteries in a DIY battery for my cargo trailer in a 19p4s configuration. Yes, that is 76 of those cells!! It took me several days to build. They are barely doing anything though considering the largest load they see is 100 amps. Nice build! I like seeing the different builds people use these batteries in.
