Eh. This film never really taught me about the concept of suicide as a kid. I assumed that some unknown figure had pushed that guy off the building and that he sued Mr. Incredible because he was mean or got hurt or something. Plus, certain dialogue just sort of flew over my head as a kid.
The thing is, there have been cases in real life of people being sued because they helped someone who didn't want to be saved. Oh and he broke his neck, too. I really don't agree with this pitch meeting.
This movie provided such a great experience for children and adults alike, it manages to have an easy to follow plot that children will understand but also incorporates more complex themes like the initial suicide attempt and Bob's workplace complications or the ups and downs of a marriage. This way the movie appeals to all audiences and has a tone just serious enough to simultaneously still allow a certain level of jauntiness that is usually overrepresented in modern kid's/family movies.
It was originally intended to be *much* darker, and definitely not a kids movie, but they softened it up as they got a reputation for being a kid's studio, I guess (part of the reason why it was in production for 10 years)
considering how against capes she was, & how she adamantly refused to add one after listing off the other heros’ deaths to Mr. Incredible, I’d argue she didn’t make their suits - I’d even go so far as to say that she was so dedicated to her job BECAUSE she witnessed so many superheroes get killed due to flawed costumes & wanted to stop it from happening in the future.. just my theory/idea on it, anyway
@@crazycookie4645 Why would you think she was the only one? There were a ton of supers, and it would not take a designer dozens of deaths before she realized that capes were a bad idea. I would imagine that smaller, less smart contractors kept making these defective costumes, or individual heroes made their own without doing their research.

I don't know why but the line "the thing about kids is they can't count" made me crack up more then like anything else I have seen on youtube in years.
The fact that Brad Bird, the director of _The Incredibles_ (and the voice of Edna Mode) was also the director of 2011's _Mission: Impossible - Ghost Nation_ is hugely satisfying to me.
Mr. Incredible is the luckiest to have her. Not only must she be amazing at sex for anyone She's also one of the few people he can be with without accidentally crushing her bones like the top of his car's door-frame
The weird thing is that Helen could've just heard Mirage's voice both times and realized it's the same voice to get suspicious, then just listened in to some "Meet me at" line with some ear-stretching bit. Fixing the phone plothole is super easy, barely an inconvenience! Also, I'm pretty sure Edna explicitly didn't design any of the fatal cape suits. I felt like that was the point she was making, that she DOESN'T get her wearers killed.
Just an observation that I don’t know if others have already made. First, I love this screen rant guy. I noticed a big change in his delivery over the years. He has improved the catch lines with emphasis that totally adds to the humor of the review ( I don’t know, need you to get off my back and that’s tight to name a few) Please keep up the good work and hope to see newer catch phrases!
I love this movie and have seen it multiple times. The irony of the robot being rebuilt after every Super fight, yet its ultimate downfall being the same issue it had fighting Mr. Incredible the first time ALTHOUGH clearly stated by Syndrome that it had been upgraded, is the heaviest thing about this movie. And I never noticed until now. Its amazing what you can overlook in a good movie! Also no Frozone mention? Ryan you are bold.
He probably just prevented it from stabbing itself. There is very little you can do when you already have made a robot out of the strongest material (assumed, not stated in the movie) except downgrade the claws, which might cause other issues

Eh. This film never really taught me about the concept of suicide as a kid.
I assumed that some unknown figure had pushed that guy off the building and that he sued Mr. Incredible because he was mean or got hurt or something.
Plus, certain dialogue just sort of flew over my head as a kid.
Evan Clarizio I personally got it as a kid but I actually learned from it because it’s a serious issue that kids should know about
The thing is, there have been cases in real life of people being sued because they helped someone who didn't want to be saved. Oh and he broke his neck, too. I really don't agree with this pitch meeting.
I always thought he was like a stunt man doing a dangerous performance.
I got it that he jumped off the building then immediately forgot about the concept or anything about it
Same actually
Is it hard to make the best pitch meeting youtube chanel?
No,super easy bearly a inconvinience
I love this chanel thx
Pitch meetings are tight!
This in-joke reference is TIGHT. 😄
(...aaaaaand looks like I was beaten to the punch 😭)
Jacking to Elastigirl hentai is TIGHT!
Beware of the BEARLY
pitch meeting on youtube is tight!
Mr. Incredible must have some real issues if throwing someone through a building is apparently something that's happened numerous times before.
They didn’t say it was, it could have just been anything that indicated he had powers.
“Kids are gonna love this!!!”
“So we start with an attempted suicide”
“Wut”
Attempt of suicide is tight
Kids these days do love suicide jokes
I forgot that this movie had attempted suicide
A cool idea for pitch meetings would be classic movies like Wizard of Oz or Casablanca.
That would be awesome! I love classic.
"So Mrs Incredible, how do you give birth?"
Mrs Incredible: "Oh, it's super easy, barely an inconvenience"
I just imagined this in Elastigirl's voice 😂😂😂
@@emmaude9273 Holly Hunter does have a recognizable voice, doesn't she? XD
"I just shape myself into a giant va-"
"Yeah ok I didn't need to imagine that."
@@kilroy987 why not?
This movie provided such a great experience for children and adults alike, it manages to have an easy to follow plot that children will understand but also incorporates more complex themes like the initial suicide attempt and Bob's workplace complications or the ups and downs of a marriage. This way the movie appeals to all audiences and has a tone just serious enough to simultaneously still allow a certain level of jauntiness that is usually overrepresented in modern kid's/family movies.
"Because"
"Fair Enough"
Damn I love these videos.
Ryan... you prove that Clark Kent can hide his identity with glasses. You legit look like two different people, LOL
What are the other changes ?
clark kent does more than wear glasses. hell even this guy has the same posture & doesn't act less like a dweeb or a klutz
"Well then, why didn't the guy just try to kill himself afterwards?"
"I don't know."
"Fair enough."
...Oliver's neck was broken, no WAY he was getting up.
He was in the hospital and feeling vindictive by the time he got out. It's not inexplicable, it's just not very nice.
I just realized how dark of a movie this actually was 😂😂😂
It was originally intended to be *much* darker, and definitely not a kids movie, but they softened it up as they got a reputation for being a kid's studio, I guess (part of the reason why it was in production for 10 years)
Please do pitch meetings for other Pixar movies like Toy Story and Ratatouille . Especially Ratatouille. Would love to see a Ratatouille pitch meeting
"What happened to the super villains?"
"i don't know!"

I don't understand how this has not been done yet
1:17
One of the best and most underrated moments on Pitch Meeting
Super easy, barely an inconvenience?
3:33 that wasn't really Edna's fault in my opinion
Plus we don't know for sure if she did the costumes
considering how against capes she was, & how she adamantly refused to add one after listing off the other heros’ deaths to Mr. Incredible, I’d argue she didn’t make their suits - I’d even go so far as to say that she was so dedicated to her job BECAUSE she witnessed so many superheroes get killed due to flawed costumes & wanted to stop it from happening in the future..
just my theory/idea on it, anyway
She's the only hero costume designer. They're probably hers.
we are not really sure if the heroes died from it. must have been painful, but they must be a bit tough to handle something like this.
Crazy Cookie nah we don’t know that. The others probably got sued into oblivion for making costumes with capes.
I literally have not laughed harder in a"pitch meeting" than in this one!

“Here’s the thing about physics; I don’t understand physics.”
So true tho! XD
It is a hard subject
One of my friends in school always had an 8am physics class. He always said that it made more sense if he went in hung over or even still slightly drunk from the night before. 😂
@@Bookwitchery State dependent memory.
Man I loved this movie as a kid and I still do. And on that plane thing I always figured the blast launched the engine upwards to give it time to fall.
Infinity War better be next please, so much material to use.
Let’s do a pitch meeting for a pitch meeting video
J Vee ? That make no sense
They meant that "how this series came about" in a "Pitch Meeting" vid.
chance okeson it would be like a spoof like the pitch meeting guy giving a pitch meeting about the pitch meeting sketch to the like a higher up screen rant boss

Elastigirl giving birth? Super easy, barely an inconvenience
Sean Cordi oo
The fact that Brad Bird, the director of _The Incredibles_ (and the voice of Edna Mode) was also the director of 2011's _Mission: Impossible - Ghost Nation_ is hugely satisfying to me.
My favourite Pitch Meeting by FAR, and fittingly, for one of my favourite movies ever
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Elastigirl could be as TIGHT as she wants to and giving birth should be super easy, barely an inconvenience.
(EDIT: Thanks for the 1k+ likes
😊👍)
It would’ve cost you $0.00 to say that
Mr. Incredible is the luckiest to have her.
Not only must she be amazing at sex for anyone
She's also one of the few people he can be with without accidentally crushing her bones like the top of his car's door-frame
And people gonna be super weird about it.
Eww
lol
The weird thing is that Helen could've just heard Mirage's voice both times and realized it's the same voice to get suspicious, then just listened in to some "Meet me at" line with some ear-stretching bit. Fixing the phone plothole is super easy, barely an inconvenience!
Also, I'm pretty sure Edna explicitly didn't design any of the fatal cape suits. I felt like that was the point she was making, that she DOESN'T get her wearers killed.
That is horrible
No its going to be real funny
If you say so

- that is genius.
Just an observation that I don’t know if others have already made. First, I love this screen rant guy. I noticed a big change in his delivery over the years. He has improved the catch lines with emphasis that totally adds to the humor of the review ( I don’t know, need you to get off my back and that’s tight to name a few)
Please keep up the good work and hope to see newer catch phrases!
“This is dark..”
“No it’s funny” I laughed when he said that
