After 14 years, an Incredibles sequel is finally here. It was great to catch up with Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash, Violet, Frozone and especially Jack Jack. Incredibles 2 had some amazing action, incredible VFX and some pretty hilarious moments. But since this is Hollywood and nothing is perfect, there were also a couple of things about it that didn’t make too much sense. Like what was up with Winston and Elevyn Deavor? How come the movie had pretty much the same premise as the first one? Why did they just re-do Violet’s arc from the first movie, and what’s up with Dash and buttons? Let’s step inside the pitch meeting that started it all! It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience!

Dylanpool Idk why people thought The Underminder was a significant villain lol. He came off as obscure to me and didn't really seem that formidable
@@sebastieno.1614 Well the Underminer is the only proper traditional villain that ever graced the Incredibles screen, he didn't have weird agenda, he's just evil for evil sake, kinda refreshing actually, also did it ever occured to you how there's so little mention of villains in this movie?

TBH I am not even subscribed to the channel. I tried it and I don't wanna get blasted with stuff noone cares about all the time just to get notified about these and whenever there is a new one I stumble across it one or two days after release anyways so why bother.

The Evelyn Dever pun went way over my head but Evelyn being the villain was extremely obvious during her first girl talk with Elastigirl.
I'm so glad to hear someone else say that because it was so totally obvious as soon as her and her brother got in the argument based on what she said.

I thought of that too, watching the movie.
My guess is that she isn't powerful enough to make a portal that large.

@@zacharygilmore1075 nah, the writers forgot, plain and simple. If that had NOT been the case, they would have made it obvious she could only do small portals or wasn't confident of doing very large portals, like Violet in the first movie, who COULD do large force fields but wasn't confident to try them to save her family in the plane. The writers DIDN'T forget that one.
How to foreshadow the villain’s identity:
Make their name an evil pun

I mean, that's actually a pretty subtle pun, I don't think a ton of people would've picked up on that.
It's no Dr. Doom to be sure.
I picked up on her being evil without the pun (tbh I never noticed because I didn't care about her name)
But rewatch the movie, theres hints all around, like she is always in the shade/dark hinting at her ulterior persona. But it was like the whole movie
If you think about it, the only reason she's a villain is because of her parents.

Well technically it's not. The first film focused on the deteriorating of the family from Bob's obsession with the past and the entire family gaining self-awareness from the experience.
The second film extends more on the first film's political question of whether superheroes should come back and Bob's complete mortal struggle to maintain proper fatherhood.

How is it the same movie? Oh, right... Because it involves business people who want to invest in superheroes and one of them has no connection to them personally but has a political stance against them from a personal loss and wishes to rid of superheroes rather then kill imitate them. Wait, that really doesn't sound the same to me.
How was this a needless cash grab? And aren't all films needless cash grabs? They are there to make money...

I had a pair of sunglasses shaped like an Incredibles mask. When that flashy scene played, they fell over my eyes. Gravity is tight!

1:20 the mos unstatisfying moment in movies is that when you waited too long for the conclusion of a cliffhanger ending just to find out that the studio said "f*ck that off" And the movie was basically just a remade

I appreciate the work you put into these. It's not super easy , barely an inconvenience.
I'm not even epileptic and I still had to look away during the flashy parts.
Dash should have had a story-arch about not running headfirst into trouble, maybe he uses the maths skills his dad taught him to work out how to stop the boat or something (maybe he finds a love of maths after having it explained to him using superhero analogies by his dad, and because he's a *fast* learner he's working out the logistical calculus of stopping the boat).
Jack-Jack could have been a great metaphor for dealing with special needs children or something.
The bad guy's plan should have had something to do with stopping people's dependence on heroes, instead she created a villain that necessitated heroes....

Ryan missed the part where Elastagirl goes to the big city to fight big crime and on her first night there is basically no crime and the only crime she fights is manufactured to move the plot along.
Awesome job again!! what i wanna know is HOW jack jack got so many abilities, his parents have like TWO abilities, strength and stretch, makes you wonder if the genes "skipped a generation or two", which now raises another question-who are elastigirl & mr incredible's PARENTS and will we meet them in part 3?
