Now there is a new variation of this car valiant I think it's called crazy. Superb vid as expected
Gonna upset Aston fans, but man would that be beauitful without the dot on the side 🤣🤣. Joking it's still a great looking car, sad times that we get excited for seeing a manual supercar these days.
Maybe that's what he is driving for gumball 🤷🏻
They don't come with the dot, these are on the configurator bud, just a livery option
@@travisbodemann7847 It's the typical circle you see on oldschool Aston Martin racing, I don't know the true history I just hate how it looks. (Anniversary car though I get it 😔)
@samconroyy some ferraris also have that weird circle 😂
@@samconroyy my brother in Christ it's an option, my God you people. Just open the configurator
Well done! The effort and passion are evident.
The best video on this ASTONishing machine.
classic JWW! great video mate.
some adventurous drivers miss the revolving license plates, smoke screen, oil slick, machine guns and ejector seat for evil passengers.
$1.3m and they couldn’t be bothered to change the badge on the steering wheel and starter button to the new one, but they did everywhere else
Another great video. So glad manufacturers are still building such raw, manual, mechanical-focused cars, although at an insanely high price. It's an aggressive looking car, although with this paint scheme, from the front, it looks like a Mustang has swallowed an Aston!
The '77 - '89 V8 and Vantage likewise looked like Camaro and Mustang Mach 1 muscle cars. (The clichés about "a bruiser in a Savile Row suit" just poured out back then.) That's why this car looks so good to Aston fans ( but maybe not that excessive ducktail).
I just looked on Classic web site, it lists a whole bunch of 1989 Vantage cars for $200,000 and way up. Earlier ones are a lot cheaper.
Sublime car.
Great filming as always.
Great narrative.
Thank you
😎😎😎👍👍👍
Oh this is a clasic mr jww video more of this more of you driving the insane car line up you own too james feed the algorithm
Great video, keep up the good content
This is quickly becoming my favourite supercar on sale
Look up the Valiant, this car is the base model of that
If we all love a manual, why don't they make more of them? If a regular (?) Aston Martin had an option of a manual I wonder how many they would sell? I'll take one, as soon as my lottery numbers are called!
They didn't sell, that's why they stopped making them Most people don't like manuals and the enthusiasts that do are a small minority. Not enough of them to justify the development for regular production.
I personally don’t see the appeal with it in certain high tech new cars. I can’t speak on this since I know virtually nothing about Aston Martin (I do love how this looks btw). However, for instance my favorite car is the newer 992 GT3 Touring with the PDK. I’d rather have that option for a new car but if I had an older 964 or 930, I’d rather the manual. I do understand that can be a bit sacrilegious to some saying you want a sports/supercar without a manual.
@F1ll1nTh3Blanks Unfortunately you're right but surely they could fairly easily put a manual in the Vantage given last gen had one and the Valour and Valiant have them
James you need to tell Nico about that plate Number LOL. Most importantly THAT V12 sounds fantastic. Cheers
Looks like a modern mustang, honestly.
Minus the plastic and pleather 😂
That thing is gorgeous ‼️‼️
GLORIOUS!!!
You definitely deserve more recognition for this!
They should bring back V12 and MT for the entire lineup! They could even be entry level NA with less power and cheaper, every Aston Martin owner would buy one to play with!
That sound of the V12. Oooh yes!
Great looking car. Great design. 😍
7am in Malaysia. I'll pause going to work to watch this first.
And can't wait to meet you in person when you're here in Kuala Lumpur, James.
This is the ULTIMATE drivers car. A manual twin turbo v12. Yes please. Welldone Aston. Awesome recipe. The valour looks beautiful as well.
MR JWW Absolutely Incredible Video I'm glad you had a chance to drive that Absolutely incredible Aston Martin Valour and I think it's absolutey incredible that Aston Martin made them V12s and Manual transmissions and I definitely agree that it looks like a Super GT
Those seats are awesome
Talk about a pure muscle car!
All driving purists would agree. This is a marvelous drivers automobile. Thank you Mr. JWW
Well bless Aston , keeping the manual alive, now all i need is the lottery numbers.....
Valkyrie is the only one I can tell from the other 7 V named astons
props to aston for making a manual, non hybrid car!
It’s cool this thing exists!
i've always loved the interior of aston martins
First off, well done Aston Martin 👏🏽 Things I love: V12, manual, retro style. Some missed opportunities: 7K redline is way too low for this special of a machine. They should have used the Cosworth engine from the Victor and not from the V12 Vantage: the end. Lastly, 1780kg/3924lbs is hefty, especially given that at $1.5M-$2M US, it’s as expensive as the Gordon Murray T.33 ($1.8M) at 1090kg/2403lbs, and 5-7X the price of the 911 S/T (1380kgs, 3042/3058lbs EU/US). At this price, it should have a much more special engine, a higher redline, and shave off around 800lbs.
Yes, as per 177..now that was a super car. This is a parts bin effort.
I can't believe they didn't wait for the new interior language to launch the Valour. That means there's probably another one on the horizon. Hopefully a cheaper mass production version. So we can buy it in a few years for 100K.
Really nice car Manual 🚗 👌 V12.
That intro voice over quality tho 😂
Sweet machine
Its fantastic how "manual era" comes back❤ Now we only need "EV era" goes to hell 😂
Beautiful car!!! It looks a little bit like the mustang at the front and also delivering an amazing soundtrack. The red bit unfortunately looks like you’ve had to replace a bit and could only afford it at the scrappers 🤣
I have been a Aston Martin ambassador for long as I can remember. The Valour is definitely unique and still is a masterpiece in its own way.
275/35ZR21 sounds like a lot of fun.
LOL that 90's corolla seat pattern
1:46 as an American, I freaked out seeing a truck in the lane
Manuals make a great driver of you, that’s how you learn, how to really drive❤
So is one of the already sold out coming to the BUNKER :)
Aston Martin is really stepping up its game recently with this, Vantage, DB12,...
well done! the only one that does not want to go back to this pure style of driving is ferrari.🙃
It looks amazing and I love it, but, wouldn't this be better with the NA V12? Special edition built in small numbers that should allow for a NA engine to be used surely?
NA V12 would have even less power. At some point a limited edition supercar with less power than an EV for a 1/15th of the price is embarrassing. This is a cool retro car, but it's also a cynical exercise in milking the rich.
"You can tell I'm rich because I have an inaccurate watch and a slower car with turbo lag."
13:45 a surprising number actually:
1) the two Gordon Murrays
2) the aston GT12 or whatever that was called
3) this one and its specialer edition
It's not much but it's not nothing. Also I'm sure there are many other examples for lower prices, or if you drop the modern there's plenty others. Also lots of V8s. Still pretty special tho.
I just don’t think you’d get the same level of engagement if it were an automatic. With that styling and engine you really want to be driving and not just steering. Driving it clearly just makes you want to smile.
I like it, definitely a stick guy, but I like your Aston much better!! That's sweet!
How does it compare to your DBS? That would have been an interesting video too.
The Valour is definitely on the side of super grand tourer, whereas the new Aston Martin Valiant is on the supercar side of the spectrum and I suspect that the Valiant will be louder than the Valour as well.
that jacket! pls what brand is it?
I don't know how many Chevy Corvettes I could buy for 1.3 million dollars . But even one of those is more car than I would ever need .
car is absolutely stunning but im surprised they didnt make the pedals nicer since it has a price tag of over 1 mil 5:22
Ouch! Also note the exposed wiring connectors and that weird radial thing (a subwoofer?). 110 people will spend a lot of money on a slow car with turbo lag, outdated infotainment, and dubious build quality just to be exclusive and show off how much wealthier they are than mere Vantage owners.
Apparently manufacturers realized people are not looking for purely performance anymore, the overall experience has become top priority. I expect many more manual transmission sports cars to come out in the high-end market, and for as ling as ICE drivetrains are still a thing
That car has a new mustang look in my eyes
One for the real drivers. A epic car. Maby next speed champions by lego
Jjw I love this car
Are you at the Gaydon factory. I recognise the roads
I'm one of the lucky few to get an allocation for one of those
Fiat Puntos 😢
They’re just taking the piss now. £1,3m?? 😂😂😂
Im so glad its not a convertible
Minute 5:22...a speaker in that place???? 🤨
The ultimate super GT
Interesting you have a lefthand drive to test.
Needs a velour interior.
A million dollars and you get an outdated infotainment system? Lmao
Its all retro my man 😅
While undoubtedly, it is a fine machine. But for 1.3 million, it still seems to fall short in some areas by a fair margin. When you have to make an effort to justify the steering in the car. And that infotainment system is just totally unforgivable at that price point.
Cant believe it only makes 750hp and 5xxfttq out of a twin turbo V12 the SVJ makes more then that on motor alone...
Perhaps the best looking Aston Martin ever?
The amg engine its❤
I absolutely love Aston Martin, some of the most stunning cars ever built but I’m not feeling this at all inside or out.
It would have been a waste not to take the victor to production. There will always be a demand for manual transmission RWD dream cars, even more so in 2024.
700 hp naturally aspirated V12 would be nice. Frankly, turbo charged V12 at this power rating is just not very impressive nowadays.
It looks like the Eleanor Mustang!
Okay James, 992 S/T or this. No cop out "they're different" or "need to have both" answer please =]
1975 Pontiac Firebird inspired rims.
Not sure why these new Valours didn't get the new interior and infotainment system
Alfa Romeo SZ at the rear, otherwise, nice looking car from the front.
Looks like Prject Satan or Bender Were-car from Futurama :D
Seems like power should be higher with a modern v12. 700hps would be fine if it was NA, and we got the better sound note out of it.
You'll want the valiant, the upgraded version of this
Turbos?
Why are Aston gear knobs always so HUGE? Also wish they went with NO screens on this one. Drivers don’t want screens, and how’s that going to look in 20yrs, when it’s busted?
Amazing car . But the price is insane should be 300 to 400 k
I can see why they put lipstick on it. What a beautiful thing
What's the name of the color
1.3 million are they f$CKING crazy
There are an obscene number of ultra-rich people who inherited money with a 30-car garage to fill.
Tax wealth!
Have not been this early for a Mr JWW video in a while
This car is worth 1.3? the world has lost it
Doesn’t the back end of the car look like an old 911 or possibly the 959
But does this thing have apple car play/ android auto?
Also if you could text Dave and tell him he’s a SOB that would be great 😅
😂
It's unfortunate it's left hand drive isn't it!
Excuses. McLaren has hydraulic steering and ACC.
Gear change sounds like a gaited manual
A surprisingly basic interior. I love the tweed, and the wooden knob but its very grey, black and uninteresting. It would be something you would expect to see in a car the value of
an Alpine or Dallara.
As nice as it looks, it looks more like 400,000. Not 1.3m!
But it's "exclusive". the magic word for uber wealthy.
It’s also hand made, plenty of hours went into the carbon bodywork alone.
This car costs 10x more than it should
the throws look HUGE and the shifter looks unfinished .
"You would be forgiven for thinking" James gives reviews differently. I love his car reviews, but as one of the DDE Fam I needed to bust his balls a bit. Still classing the place up, even on a multi-million "you will never own one" car review.
