@@Marzzz887 Actually that’s not true the Reason the Jedi didn’t use the force against Grievous all that much is because it was literally useless. Dooku trained him to know how to avoid force attack with his computer-add-ons to his brain, how to resist force attacks, and was known to dodge force pushes with his faster-than-normal reflexes. He was literally designed to destroy force-users. So realistically Kylo would take one look at Grievous, try and attack him with the force, only for Grievous to lunge to the side and the front faster than Kylo could react and sever every one of his limbs from his body. Thank god Dooku’s plan to make Grievous force-sensitive with his old friends blood failed or else Grievous would have become Emperor.
shadowwriter329 that was never actually said as far as I know as it would also be very difficult to move what is essentially still a planet from system to system unlike the Death Star which was significantly smaller and completely man made.
I think the only thing missing in this video was that it didn't take into account that CIS were actually the ones that made the blueprints for the Death Star and the Galactic Empire just simply exploited the design for themselves after massacring Separatists and overthrowing the Republic. So the CIS could have very well made their own Death Star to counter Starkiller Base if they fought long enough against the First Order.

Well, the moment Grievous manage to land on Starkiller base planet with some magna guards and elite droids, everyone is fucked up. Phasma and Kylo Ren couldn't stand a chance, and he would easily march on to disable systems so the Confederate fleet could land bigger ships and troops against the F.O.
Young BZ I know its late but i think the Episode 3 film Grievous was very powerfull too i mean do you remember his death ? If I remember correctly He almost beat Obi wan Kenobi (the version that beat anakin) and obi wan only beat him because he used force strenght to bend the metal and get to his core/heart after beeing dissarmed :)
Pastel Nuclear being fair, Grevious could be at a slight bit of trouble with Phasma. Why? Because she ain’t called a Captain and highly decorated for no reason. I’d say she may have some plan to deal with Grevious, whether it be explosives, or something smarter. But that’s just a maybe. Grevious is a hell of a fighter too, and is also just as intelligent.
Personally, the First Order is screwed. If the CIS is able to throw everything it has at the First Order, it's no contest. I know now with hindsight a lot of FO ships would probably be able to have (around) 10:1 kill/death ratios. Which still wouldn't save them. Hell, if the CIS got desperate, they could do the Hyperspace Jump thing from TLJ and kamikaze FO ships. Wouldn't be difficult either. And ground forces? Don't get me started. If at best, FO troopers are like Clones from the Clone Wars. Only, there are a LOT fewer of them. Dooku also has the edge with force abilities, as Snoke doesn't really have the feats (Even with TLJ) to accurately tell what he can do, and Kylo/Ben probably is (at best) a rookie to Dooku. Yeah......CIS has WAAAYYYY too much for the First Order to deal with.
Intridictor generator technology, the FO traded it for Hyperspace tracking. At least that’s what i think happened. The Hyperspace jump can be prevented but somebody decided to not have intridictor cruisers.
LUNAR BLOODDROP Depends on which GG we're talking about, in the comics, he killed several Huks(I believe, those praying mantis aliens) when he was 7. At the age of 17 or something he became a god. In the 2003 CW series he took on 4 or 5 Jedi and totally annihilated them.
Just set General Grievous leading a ground attack, with special units like BX-Series Commando Droids, MagnaGuards, Destroyer Droids, Grapple Droids, B3-Series Ultra Battle Droids And you have an EASY win for the C.I.S.
Fr Snoke would be a problem for greivous but with Dooku and Ventress not to mention Durge it's an Ez win for the Cis greivous would stomp Kylo ren and would force smoke to come out and fight tho dooku should have to step in to fight for that fight

My analysis: The First Order would be the aggressors and try to do as much damage as possible in a short time to cripple the CIS's ability to fight back. Most likely with Starkiller base blowing up droid production systems and worlds to hamper their military. In the initial stages the First Order would have the advantages of being hidden from the separatists and a surprise attack, but I think the droid army would eventually catch up with the First Order's base and basically just park it outside Starkiller base and endlessly churn out battle droids. The First Order would end up losing despite putting up a ferocious fight due to the massive, MASSIVE numerical superiority of the Confederacy.
They wouldn’t put up a ferocious fight. Their feats in defending their super weapon was laughable. No organization, questionable tactics. They’d be outnumbered by advanced droid models alone which were individually more capable than first order stormtroopers
I dont know about that, I would say that the uniforms that the Alliance troops had at scariff to be pretty cool, considering it looked like vietnam era US uniforms.

4:47 I remember reading Legends numbers stating that, by the end of the Clone Wars, the casualty numbers for the CIS (almost entirely comprised of droids) were over 5 billion. The CIS army was enormous, easily in the trillions of droids.
Those numbers are incredibly low for Star Wars. To put it in perspective, that is less than the Population of Earth...in a Galaxy of more than 10,000 Star Systems...so atleast around 50,000 planets. The Scale of Numbers is pretty much incomprehensible. 3 Million Clones, that is almost a Million less than the Population of Los Angeles. There needs to be a couple Zeros added to these numbers

Units also can refer to anything equal or smaller than a battalion. Likely there were billions of clones as well. Just not the trillions of battle droids.

I can imagine an awesome "race against time espionage" kind of plot, where the highly competent and trained First Order are secretly looking for the CIS' most important planets to nuke with Starkiller Base, while the less potent but massive CIS have to confirm the existence of and find the Starkiller Base before that happens. The first Order would have to stay in the shadows for as long as possible, and the CIS would have to find a threat they weren't aware of existing. In the conflict's hot phase, their militaries keep each other busy and confused with proxy conflicts, while there's a ton of subterfuge happening in the background, probably aided by force powers. Dang. I almost wanna write a story on that.
@@SnoW-pk9zo threre have to be at least a hundret ships in the vicinity of the star system whoose sensor data can be used to calculate the origin of the beam (especially considdering how far away you could see the beam). Even if there arent any, the cis will immideately set observation drones up after the first system is destroyed.
Actually the technology of the first Order has become worse. Their surface cannons can no longer hit small fighters by design. Plus their capital ships can be destroyed by a single bomber. It also seems like shield technology has become worse as well since one tie fighter wreck can destroy 3 rebel bombers by accident. That information wasn’t out when this video was made. I just wanted to mention it.
The resistance bombers are unshielded and I will argue that all exempt 1 First Order ships are way better than the republic and Empire that goes with armor and tech too.The exemption is that FO ship at the beginning of TLJ that's just a huge step back in design.
Just a single squadron of Droid Gunships, each with 6 B1-As and 2 IG-100s could infiltrate and destroy an entire First Order fleet. Lots of people seriously underestimate the effectiveness of MagnaGuards.
I hope you actually read this. Probabbly the CIS? if Sideous isn't holding the chains to strangle Dooku. ive noticed that when you talk about the military of the CIS you almost ALWAYS focus ENTIRELY upon the droids. and while that's fair I don't think it takes into account the aspect of its high level generals and the stable of Darksiders that make up the champions and generals of the CIS. the ones who USE and command the droid. Doku, with Ventress and Sora Bolq being prime examples. not to mention folks like General Grevious, Durge and others of like minded sorts. that's not getting into the other dark accolytes Dooku eventually gains. and sure the driods have weakness of massive strieks taking out their whole network as been shown... but even then. they also have specialized killer droids. Magna guards would wreak HAVOC upon them all. it might be to soont o tell but considering that the First Order only has good ol Bennie (ben) to lead them and be a coutner to dark siders? I don't seem him surviving. and honestly these are the people that leat their planet destroyed get defeated by only some star shoop assault groups. as a military they are relatively PATHETIC. this might change or simply be a case of they haven't been shown enough?
I'm going with the CIS. Grevious ,Dooku, Ventress could deal with weak ass Kylo Ren with or without the bowcaster bolt. The first order has newer and better technology but I do not think that their resources are that extensive I think they may have a few planets at the most. The CIS when they fought against the Republic had to spread all their forces out through many planets and many battlegrounds I think if they were able to get all their forces together or mass them and only have to concentrate on the few worlds the first order holds they would swarm them. Just think about it for a second thousands upon thousands vulture droid Fighters Tri Droid Fighters bombers hundreds of Providence carriers hundreds of Hulks maybe 50 subjectors. You get the point. The first order is just now becoming a major threat because they destroyed the Republic Fleet and I'm pretty sure the Republic Fleet was already scaled-down because there weren't any major Wars going on. The first order is a threat because the only thing that stands between them and starting a new Empire is the small Rebel faction and whatever's left over. It's a sheer numbers game you could have a modern day Navy SEALs team with the best Weaponry in the world yeah they can put up a fight but if there were facing a huuuuuge Army with bows and arrows swords maybe muskets eventually they would be overwhelmed.
By the way, in canon it’s said that the First Order started off with eight hundred thousand troops at their peak and the CIS army had trillions of battle droids.

@@orbaitv5991 Nope, grievous would decimate him, the force relies on you focusing and you can't really do rhat when there are 4 lightsabers hitting you up to 16 times per second, kylo, without any force powers, or just basic ones, would die in a few minutes
There is on other thing to note their is a battle durring the Yazza Vong war where a planet Mantessa was trying to repel a Yazza Vong invasion force of fire breathers and all they had were a batallion of Clone Wars Era B2 Battledroids. When the forces clashed surprisingly the B2's emerged Victorious with light casualties. Which is really surprising because it's the only battle in the Yazza Vong war where their was light casualties. It makes you think that maybe the Old Clone wars droid tech may not have been as outdated as thought and it may be that due to the CIS war alot of the tech was abandoned and forgotten. Makes you wonder.

At the height of the clone wars the separatist droid army numbered in the quintillions, according to one of the cross section books I had when I was younger. On top of that they could replenish their troops faster then the republic could destroy them. That's a lot of troops. Also it only took around 1000 credits to manufacture and arm a b1 battledroid, just a neat thing I read.

My favourite Battle Droids are B1-A Aerial Battle Droids. They have a really cool design, intimidating voice, they can fly and they have incredible weapons similar to those of Mandalorian Warriors, including Arm Blades, Dual Wrist Cannons and Wrist-Mounted Plasma Shields.
The confederacy would win with numbers and rebuild rate, the first order may win at first, but the CIS could easily absorb casualties and rebuild too quickly to be destroyed.
The thing people often forget about the cis, is that their not just a droid army. They got flying bug people, the umbarns super technology and the constant hiring of bounty hunters. They would overwhelm the first order with sheer numbers alone lol
You never pitted Dooku against Kylo. Since Dooku was almost equal to Yoda I think he would smash Kylo as we know him, sure Kylo is extremely well gifted but Dooku is also as strong in the Force as you can get without being a Yoda, Sidious, or Skywalker. Dooku is also one of the best dualists in recent history and has a much better mindset.
DarksaberForce after the human covenant war in the halo universe. Not all of the covenant species decided to ceasefire. The storm covenant also known as the covenant remnants is a splinter group that while doesn’t seem to be trying to fulfill the “great journey” intends on finishing what the covenant started and wipe humanity out for good.
The Empire, no doubt, has stronger warships, but each Venator has 420 Starfighters. While the fighters are raping the poor 72 TIE Fighters from each ISD, the bombers would start bombing the crap out of the ship. Its even worse, since the ISD has no point defense cannons. Because of the lack of good starfighters to back up their warship (especially against an opponent that specializes in Starfighters), the ISD has a lower chance of survival rate than the Venator. I'm not saying the Venator would always win. Many battles, it will be destroyed. But because the Star Destroyer has no way of defending itself against the fighters, it won't survive much either. I do know that the Empire does have corvettes to fight off fighters, but the Republic also has corvettes and Victories, so if they ever need to take out that ship. It wouldn't be a problem for them. For ground battles, Clone Troopers beat Stormtroopers any day. Even Death Troopers can't match up to them. How does a whole squad lose to a fat asian dude? Anyways, the AT-AT is the last resort. But as we seen with Star Wars Rebels, a Jedi can easily cut its legs, making the walker fall over.
Shadow Of Sundered Star Spartans for the most part died in mass numbers, the spartan III core was wiped out in suicide attacks. Now I agree Spartan IIs would wipe death troopers but it would be cool to see Spartan VI or III fight against death troopers.
Durzo Blint the only reason the first batch spartan IIIs were defeated, is because they were poorly equipped, since the UNSC were looking for a cheap replacement for the Spartan IIs, and were not even trained, they were just drafted from other branches of the UNSC.
The First Order wouldn't stand a chance against the endless sea of battle droids the CIS could field, much less be able to handle Count Dooku, General Grievous, Durge, Assajj etc. The much, much larger GAR was already outnumbered by between 1,000 and 10,000:1
Also, one of those Subjugator cruisers was the Devestation, a bigger Malevolence with a super laser that could blow up a planet. Simply find Starkiller base and then just fire the superlaser and boom, a majority of the First Order forces are destroyed

You said you were using Legends... Then why the fuck does CIS have only several million battle droids. Multiple sources in Legends say that there were quantillions of battle droids and billions of capital ships and starfighters.
IF it were true the republic would not have won, you're right. But it's based off legends, and the movies aren't. Remember that Palpatine was in charge of both armies, made the republic win so his plan could go accordingly.
@@rulingmoss5599 palpatine nerfed the cis severely (eg. make them hold large parts of their army in reserve, leak the droid blueprints, kill competent generals etc.). without him they would have steamrolled the republic
Something also to consider is that the CIS would probably be much more able to adapt to the Order, what with their larger scientific and industrial base. The Order, though probably smart enough to figure out new ways to counter the droids, would likely be on a much tighter budget and might not be able to field new equipment in good numbers. The CIS might lose for a little while, but they would have much more opportunity to study the Order and field special troops and equipment against them. Actually, thinking about it, the CIS are the only faction that really rolled out lots of new or upgraded troop designs based on countering their enemies, like the BX Commandos from the B1s and the Cortosis Droids from the B2s. So it's not like upgrading their specialist forces specifically for counter-First Order operations would be out of the question.
Four years late to comment, but I totally agree with this take. Ha. It’s just a bloodbath. Even with a super weapon like Star Killer, as soon as you shoot, you would be completely surrounded. The CIS thrives on overwhelming with numbers. Even if a first order fighter or capitol ship is able to take down ten of the CIS equivalents, it’s gonna eventually boil down to the First Order drowning in battle droids. The fact that the CIS and Republic were locked in a multi-year, full galaxy spanning war is just unparalleled in terms of scale. And it doesn’t help that the CIS can churn out legions and legions of troops and ships without any training or downtime. Compare that to the new Stormtroopers (who are clearly superior combatants) who take a lifetime to grow. So, ha, I totally agree with your take!
I feel like everyone in this comment section is biased against the First Order. Trust me, I hate the sequels too, but you guys are seriously underestimating the First Order. Starkiller Base can quickly take out their major planetary bases and send them on the run like they did to the New Republic/Resistance. The CIS fighters could definitely take out the Starkiller Base, but not before losing key planets. CIS shipyards and major droid-producing factories, as well as CIS capital planets are toast. The First Order also has heavily superior technology as Eckhart covered, and the despite the overwhelming numbers that the CIS possesses, the Confederacy is meant for a long, drawn out war with their heavy numerical superiority and the First Order is made for a blitz. We don't know much about the First Order, so given the lack of information, by default the victory goes to the Separatists. But if you look at it from a realistic perspective, we've only seen a drop in the bucket of the FO's true capabilities. Their ships are fleet-killers. Especially when you factor in the improved TIE fighters, I just don't see the Confederacy defeating the First Order in an open battle with the technological and offensive superiority. With numerical inferiority (which, again, I speculate to be over exaggerated), the First Order would turn into a sort of beefed up Rebel Alliance (a way-beefed up one) that would stay together and crush any fleet the CIS sends at them, only with more offensive tendencies. The First Order capital ships have far too much firepower for the CIS to handle. Sure, take things like Subjugator-class heavy cruisers and things like that, but when you factor in ships such as the Supremacy and the Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought, which can probably take out CIS droid factories in a breeze (seeing as they easily annihilated the Resistance base on D'Qar), plus the heavily armed and superior Resurgent-class SDs are definitely a match for Subjugators and other Separatist cruisers. I haven't even mentioned the Supremacy, which, despite a lack of information, cannot be discounted as obviously one of the most, if not the most powerful ship in the galaxy... Politically, of course, the Confederacy is far more popular, and that would definitely have a big impact on the war, but if we're just taking their militaries at face value, I find it hard to see the CIS winning a decisive victory in a war.
Finally, a descriptive, much less biased comment not against the First Order. I agree dude. Here's my bit of an assessment of things: okay, so first I'm going to assess the Canon Separatists rather than the Legends because OBVIOUSLY legends is going to win. Who would win? Darth Caedus or Kylo Ren? Obviously the legends version! Because everything in legends is taken to VERY HIGH GEAR! Anyway, on with it: Did you know that the Separatists Navy may not even be that large? Going by canon, not sure if this was in Legends too but, a third of the Separatists Navy was in the Battle of Coruscant. And guess what- they only had little over a thousand ships at the battle. So, obviously, 1000 being a third the total for their navy should at least be little over 3000. Now, this isn't too great for the First Order because they're notoriously small even with new information. But I'm just trying to show that the Separatists aren't quite as massive as everyone thought. Now, for the First Order's navy fleet, they haven't given us too specific numbers but it's been said that they have enough capital ships to:"reclaim control over the entire galaxy." And capital ships are like Star Destroyers and such, so this isn't even taking into account their frigates. But apparently thanks to Battlefront 2, they have "hundreds" of vessels built and at max that could be bordering 1000, with Ech estimating they had a little over a thousand themselves. I'll admit, it's a little generous, but continuing on with the assumption that the First Order equates to 1/3 of their navy, I agree with you that because Starkiller has the potential to destroy many shipyards, factories and lower moral by destroying important worlds to them, then that gives them even better odds. Oh and something about Starkiller Base is that its mobile thanks to rocket ports. So that may be something to consider. Anyway, military wise it's again rather cryptic with "thousands." However, in the Rise of Skywalker novelization it seemed that the Sith Eternal had hundreds of thousands. And that many of them were originally recruited by the First Order and only the ones spies thought had potential were given to them. So I think it's safe to say the First Order had a decent amount in space and ground. Though the Separatists will always have the numbers and industrial advantage, the First Order as the commenter above pointed out had Resurgents that heavily outgunned most, if not all Separatists ships. 1,500+ turbolasers, ion cannons, and- to use against the Separatists starfighters, point defense laser cannons as well. With all this in mind, I think if the First Order plays it REALLY, REALLY smart and attacks and defends when they need to, then they have a chance at actually winning. I know I'm probably sounding extremely biased all throughout so allow me to mitigate that. The First Order are definitely have the disadvantage. Not only by numbers, but also tactically. They never seemed to have extremely skilled strategists in their ranks other than potentially a few Imperial survivors. But if the First Order can act like a much deadlier Rebellion and manages to blitz properly whilst sticking together, I think it'd be a rather interesting war.

Separatists would have an enormous advantage with the Sith+Grievous+others, like Ventress for example vs just Kylo Ren, who was only a sith-wannabe. people like Maul, Dooku, or Grievous would be able to dispatch of him very easily, and then be able to help their troops directly, similar to how the Republic did in the clone wars
I think the malevolence would hell negate the differences in ship power. That thing could emp any major ship the first order put out. There was only one made but I imagine they’d make more without palpatine trying to keep the forces even. I always assumed he didn’t let them build more because the republic had no way to counter it.
Personally, I think that the Confederacy of Independent Systems would definitely win because they have a bigger military and navy and workforce. They were also more humane as they used droids for the military, navy, and workforce. The Confederacy of Independent Systems was also bigger itself! It has almost millions of star systems and solar systems! They had billions of planets! The Confederacy of Independent Systems would definitely win and possibly instead of destroying Starkiller Base, they could end up taking it and using it to destroy the remnants of The First Order! Yes again, The Confederacy of Independent Systems ultimately wins in this mess!
Also important to note is that Kylo Ren doesn't even come close to the strength of Grievous, Dooku, or important big bad guy the CIS has, each of them were able to singlehandedly take on some of the best Jedi alive whereas Kylo Ren was utterly destroyed by Rey, who isn't even as good as a padawan, and barely beat a stormtrooper (Finn) in lightsaber combat, even though Finn doesn't seem to even have the force and had no prior lightsaber experience.
First Order- 100 of your droids will fall for every one of our soldiers! Dooku- I mean, I'm pretty sure that's an exaggeration, but if not, that's fine. First Order- We have Kylo Ren! Dooku- okay....? I'm pretty sure even Kenobi could beat him without a lot of trouble. that's fine really Snoke would be all they have that could be a major problem, and i don't like his odds vs Dooku and a million droids.
the first order may have kylo ren and capitan phasma but the seperatists had bilions of droids ready for battle that can be recycled, general greivous and general kalani who is a master strategist who can order his troops to resist the shutdown command
This is a challenge, these factions have failed many times.. CIS results: -Malevolence destroyed -failed to protect the blockade over Ryloth -failed the attack on the Battle of Courscant First Order results: -Starkiller Base destroyed -failed to protect the Dreadnought -failed the attack on Crait..
The thing is though, the CIS was supposed to lose the battle of Coruscant. Palpatine staged it so that he could turn Anakin to the darkside, and decimate the Separatist fleet. That way, turning the republic into the empire would be easier. Edit: also, the Clone Wars was orchestrated by Sidious, and the CIS was designed to win. Plus with the blockade of Ryloth, Anakin literally faked a surrender (which is a war crime) and crashed his ship into the blockade.

Ik this video is a bit old but I wanna point without the influence of palpatine almost 75% of the droids the CIS had at its disposal which even they still numbered in 100s of billions of droids. If the full force of the droid army was unleashed the republic with the command of grievous trench and a couple other tactical geniuses the republic would have been fighting a never ending wave of droids and would have lost way before The GAR could have even surmounted enough clones to fight back
The Star Wars galaxy gets smaller and more broken with each trilogy: from a grand republic to a large empire to a fragment of former power vs a sweeping alliance of separatists to a conspiracy of rebellion to a defeated paramilitary cell.
My take on this: CIS forces outnumber the FO in ridiculous numbers. Even if FO has, say, 10 million stormtroopers, they'll still be outnumbered by dozens, as the CIS has to have at least 500 million or so and that's only the basic battledroids, so no SBD's, Droidekas or Magnaguards included. Same with starfighters. A single Providence carries ~250 droid starfighters and TRI-fighters and the CIS has at least hundreds if not thousands of them. They also have hundreds of Providence Dreadnoughts, which are essentially the double in size to the standard. All sizes of the Providence also carried at least a million battle droids. Add to that at least tens of thousands Munificent-class frigates and, let's be generous to the FO, around 1000 Lucrehulks and the picture is pretty obvious: The FO is screwed no matter what. Hell, if the CIS wanted, they could just kamikaze their way through by ignoring the FO fleet and just pounding on the SKB's planetary shield, assuming it has one. No matter how strong it was, it would be gone in a short time with the firepower the CIS has. Then, with the shield gone, they could keep ignoring the fleet and just Base Delta Zero the base within a matter of minutes, if that, with the tens of thousands of ships they have.
Republic, Resistance, and Rebels vs CIS, Empire, and First Order. Also, the UNSC and Covenant are allied and will attack the other alliances. The Republic and that alliance start in the core worlds, Empire and friends in the unknown regions, and the UNSC and Covenant sandwiched in the middle. I will spam this if you do not at least mention it in an episode.
If we think about this for a second. General grievous was taking most of the jedi by himself and fought against an army of highly trained clones with bounty hunter blood in them. As soon as he launches a campaign against the first order, it will be finished in a matter of weeks.

Deathtroopers win thanks to being undetectable and having an enormous range advantage. They are too top notch, i think just one could seal the deal 5/10 times. Given certain context or scenarios, these odds could change drastically

@@Marzzz887 Actually that’s not true the Reason the Jedi didn’t use the force against Grievous all that much is because it was literally useless. Dooku trained him to know how to avoid force attack with his computer-add-ons to his brain, how to resist force attacks, and was known to dodge force pushes with his faster-than-normal reflexes. He was literally designed to destroy force-users. So realistically Kylo would take one look at Grievous, try and attack him with the force, only for Grievous to lunge to the side and the front faster than Kylo could react and sever every one of his limbs from his body. Thank god Dooku’s plan to make Grievous force-sensitive with his old friends blood failed or else Grievous would have become Emperor.

I think the only thing missing in this video was that it didn't take into account that CIS were actually the ones that made the blueprints for the Death Star and the Galactic Empire just simply exploited the design for themselves after massacring Separatists and overthrowing the Republic. So the CIS could have very well made their own Death Star to counter Starkiller Base if they fought long enough against the First Order.

Well, the moment Grievous manage to land on Starkiller base planet with some magna guards and elite droids, everyone is fucked up. Phasma and Kylo Ren couldn't stand a chance, and he would easily march on to disable systems so the Confederate fleet could land bigger ships and troops against the F.O.

I’d say she may have some plan to deal with Grevious, whether it be explosives, or something smarter. But that’s just a maybe. Grevious is a hell of a fighter too, and is also just as intelligent.
Personally, the First Order is screwed. If the CIS is able to throw everything it has at the First Order, it's no contest. I know now with hindsight a lot of FO ships would probably be able to have (around) 10:1 kill/death ratios. Which still wouldn't save them. Hell, if the CIS got desperate, they could do the Hyperspace Jump thing from TLJ and kamikaze FO ships. Wouldn't be difficult either. And ground forces? Don't get me started. If at best, FO troopers are like Clones from the Clone Wars. Only, there are a LOT fewer of them. Dooku also has the edge with force abilities, as Snoke doesn't really have the feats (Even with TLJ) to accurately tell what he can do, and Kylo/Ben probably is (at best) a rookie to Dooku. Yeah......CIS has WAAAYYYY too much for the First Order to deal with.

Intridictor generator technology, the FO traded it for Hyperspace tracking. At least that’s what i think happened. The Hyperspace jump can be prevented but somebody decided to not have intridictor cruisers.

My analysis: The First Order would be the aggressors and try to do as much damage as possible in a short time to cripple the CIS's ability to fight back. Most likely with Starkiller base blowing up droid production systems and worlds to hamper their military. In the initial stages the First Order would have the advantages of being hidden from the separatists and a surprise attack, but I think the droid army would eventually catch up with the First Order's base and basically just park it outside Starkiller base and endlessly churn out battle droids. The First Order would end up losing despite putting up a ferocious fight due to the massive, MASSIVE numerical superiority of the Confederacy.
They wouldn’t put up a ferocious fight. Their feats in defending their super weapon was laughable. No organization, questionable tactics. They’d be outnumbered by advanced droid models alone which were individually more capable than first order stormtroopers

4:47 I remember reading Legends numbers stating that, by the end of the Clone Wars, the casualty numbers for the CIS (almost entirely comprised of droids) were over 5 billion. The CIS army was enormous, easily in the trillions of droids.
Those numbers are incredibly low for Star Wars. To put it in perspective, that is less than the Population of Earth...in a Galaxy of more than 10,000 Star Systems...so atleast around 50,000 planets. The Scale of Numbers is pretty much incomprehensible. 3 Million Clones, that is almost a Million less than the Population of Los Angeles.

I can imagine an awesome "race against time espionage" kind of plot, where the highly competent and trained First Order are secretly looking for the CIS' most important planets to nuke with Starkiller Base, while the less potent but massive CIS have to confirm the existence of and find the Starkiller Base before that happens. The first Order would have to stay in the shadows for as long as possible, and the CIS would have to find a threat they weren't aware of existing. In the conflict's hot phase, their militaries keep each other busy and confused with proxy conflicts, while there's a ton of subterfuge happening in the background, probably aided by force powers.

Even if there arent any, the cis will immideately set observation drones up after the first system is destroyed.

Actually the technology of the first Order has become worse. Their surface cannons can no longer hit small fighters by design. Plus their capital ships can be destroyed by a single bomber. It also seems like shield technology has become worse as well since one tie fighter wreck can destroy 3 rebel bombers by accident.

The resistance bombers are unshielded and I will argue that all exempt 1 First Order ships are way better than the republic and Empire that goes with armor and tech too.The exemption is that FO ship at the beginning of TLJ that's just a huge step back in design.
Just a single squadron of Droid Gunships, each with 6 B1-As and 2 IG-100s could infiltrate and destroy an entire First Order fleet. Lots of people seriously underestimate the effectiveness of MagnaGuards.

ive noticed that when you talk about the military of the CIS you almost ALWAYS focus ENTIRELY upon the droids. and while that's fair I don't think it takes into account the aspect of its high level generals and the stable of Darksiders that make up the champions and generals of the CIS. the ones who USE and command the droid.
Doku, with Ventress and Sora Bolq being prime examples. not to mention folks like General Grevious, Durge and others of like minded sorts.

and sure the driods have weakness of massive strieks taking out their whole network as been shown... but even then. they also have specialized killer droids. Magna guards would wreak HAVOC upon them all.

I'm going with the CIS. Grevious ,Dooku, Ventress could deal with weak ass Kylo Ren with or without the bowcaster bolt. The first order has newer and better technology but I do not think that their resources are that extensive I think they may have a few planets at the most. The CIS when they fought against the Republic had to spread all their forces out through many planets and many battlegrounds I think if they were able to get all their forces together or mass them and only have to concentrate on the few worlds the first order holds they would swarm them. Just think about it for a second thousands upon thousands vulture droid Fighters Tri Droid Fighters bombers hundreds of Providence carriers hundreds of Hulks maybe 50 subjectors. You get the point. The first order is just now becoming a major threat because they destroyed the Republic Fleet and I'm pretty sure the Republic Fleet was already scaled-down because there weren't any major Wars going on. The first order is a threat because the only thing that stands between them and starting a new Empire is the small Rebel faction and whatever's left over. It's a sheer numbers game you could have a modern day Navy SEALs team with the best Weaponry in the world yeah they can put up a fight but if there were facing a huuuuuge Army with bows and arrows swords maybe muskets eventually they would be overwhelmed.

There is on other thing to note their is a battle durring the Yazza Vong war where a planet Mantessa was trying to repel a Yazza Vong invasion force of fire breathers and all they had were a batallion of Clone Wars Era B2 Battledroids. When the forces clashed surprisingly the B2's emerged Victorious with light casualties. Which is really surprising because it's the only battle in the Yazza Vong war where their was light casualties. It makes you think that maybe the Old Clone wars droid tech may not have been as outdated as thought and it may be that due to the CIS war alot of the tech was abandoned and forgotten. Makes you wonder.

On top of that they could replenish their troops faster then the republic could destroy them. That's a lot of troops. Commando droid's were always my favorite droid's. There like assassin's, they jump, have speed and higher intelligence than other droid's.
My favourite Battle Droids are B1-A Aerial Battle Droids. They have a really cool design, intimidating voice, they can fly and they have incredible weapons similar to those of Mandalorian Warriors, including Arm Blades, Dual Wrist Cannons and Wrist-Mounted Plasma Shields.

The thing people often forget about the cis, is that their not just a droid army. They got flying bug people, the umbarns super technology and the constant hiring of bounty hunters. They would overwhelm the first order with sheer numbers alone lol
You never pitted Dooku against Kylo. Since Dooku was almost equal to Yoda I think he would smash Kylo as we know him, sure Kylo is extremely well gifted but Dooku is also as strong in the Force as you can get without being a Yoda, Sidious, or Skywalker. Dooku is also one of the best dualists in recent history and has a much better mindset.

Darth Vader, Empire would win in a landslide
The Empire, no doubt, has stronger warships, but each Venator has 420 Starfighters. While the fighters are raping the poor 72 TIE Fighters from each ISD, the bombers would start bombing the crap out of the ship. Its even worse, since the ISD has no point defense cannons. Because of the lack of good starfighters to back up their warship (especially against an opponent that specializes in Starfighters), the ISD has a lower chance of survival rate than the Venator. I'm not saying the Venator would always win. Many battles, it will be destroyed. But because the Star Destroyer has no way of defending itself against the fighters, it won't survive much either. I do know that the Empire does have corvettes to fight off fighters, but the Republic also has corvettes and Victories, so if they ever need to take out that ship. It wouldn't be a problem for them.
For ground battles, Clone Troopers beat Stormtroopers any day. Even Death Troopers can't match up to them. How does a whole squad lose to a fat asian dude? Anyways, the AT-AT is the last resort. But as we seen with Star Wars Rebels, a Jedi can easily cut its legs, making the walker fall over.

Shadow Of Sundered Star Spartans for the most part died in mass numbers, the spartan III core was wiped out in suicide attacks. Now I agree Spartan IIs would wipe death troopers but it would be cool to see Spartan VI or III fight against death troopers.

Durzo Blint the only reason the first batch spartan IIIs were defeated, is because they were poorly equipped, since the UNSC were looking for a cheap replacement for the Spartan IIs, and were not even trained, they were just drafted from other branches of the UNSC.
Durzo Blint Spartan IIIs were highly skilled probably more skilled then IVs. The only they died in mass numbers was to eliminate High valued targets.
The First Order wouldn't stand a chance against the endless sea of battle droids the CIS could field, much less be able to handle Count Dooku, General Grievous, Durge, Assajj etc.
The much, much larger GAR was already outnumbered by between 1,000 and 10,000:1

Benjamin Bovard clones would win. Unlike the storm troopers, clones were bred for war, whereas the Empire recruited citizens.

IF it were true the republic would not have won, you're right. But it's based off legends, and the movies aren't. Remember that Palpatine was in charge of both armies, made the republic win so his plan could go accordingly.

Something also to consider is that the CIS would probably be much more able to adapt to the Order, what with their larger scientific and industrial base.
The Order, though probably smart enough to figure out new ways to counter the droids, would likely be on a much tighter budget and might not be able to field new equipment in good numbers. The CIS might lose for a little while, but they would have much more opportunity to study the Order and field special troops and equipment against them.
Actually, thinking about it, the CIS are the only faction that really rolled out lots of new or upgraded troop designs based on countering their enemies, like the BX Commandos from the B1s and the Cortosis Droids from the B2s. So it's not like upgrading their specialist forces specifically for counter-First Order operations would be out of the question.

It’s just a bloodbath. Even with a super weapon like Star Killer, as soon as you shoot, you would be completely surrounded. The CIS thrives on overwhelming with numbers. Even if a first order fighter or capitol ship is able to take down ten of the CIS equivalents, it’s gonna eventually boil down to the First Order drowning in battle droids. The fact that the CIS and Republic were locked in a multi-year, full galaxy spanning war is just unparalleled in terms of scale. And it doesn’t help that the CIS can churn out legions and legions of troops and ships without any training or downtime. Compare that to the new Stormtroopers (who are clearly superior combatants) who take a lifetime to grow.
So, ha, I totally agree with your take!
I feel like everyone in this comment section is biased against the First Order. Trust me, I hate the sequels too, but you guys are seriously underestimating the First Order.
Starkiller Base can quickly take out their major planetary bases and send them on the run like they did to the New Republic/Resistance. The CIS fighters could definitely take out the Starkiller Base, but not before losing key planets. CIS shipyards and major droid-producing factories, as well as CIS capital planets are toast.
The First Order also has heavily superior technology as Eckhart covered, and the despite the overwhelming numbers that the CIS possesses, the Confederacy is meant for a long, drawn out war with their heavy numerical superiority and the First Order is made for a blitz.
We don't know much about the First Order, so given the lack of information, by default the victory goes to the Separatists. But if you look at it from a realistic perspective, we've only seen a drop in the bucket of the FO's true capabilities.
Their ships are fleet-killers. Especially when you factor in the improved TIE fighters, I just don't see the Confederacy defeating the First Order in an open battle with the technological and offensive superiority. With numerical inferiority (which, again, I speculate to be over exaggerated), the First Order would turn into a sort of beefed up Rebel Alliance (a way-beefed up one) that would stay together and crush any fleet the CIS sends at them, only with more offensive tendencies.
The First Order capital ships have far too much firepower for the CIS to handle. Sure, take things like Subjugator-class heavy cruisers and things like that, but when you factor in ships such as the Supremacy and the Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought, which can probably take out CIS droid factories in a breeze (seeing as they easily annihilated the Resistance base on D'Qar), plus the heavily armed and superior Resurgent-class SDs are definitely a match for Subjugators and other Separatist cruisers.
I haven't even mentioned the Supremacy, which, despite a lack of information, cannot be discounted as obviously one of the most, if not the most powerful ship in the galaxy...
Politically, of course, the Confederacy is far more popular, and that would definitely have a big impact on the war, but if we're just taking their militaries at face value, I find it hard to see the CIS winning a decisive victory in a war.
Finally, a descriptive, much less biased comment not against the First Order. I agree dude. Here's my bit of an assessment of things: okay, so first I'm going to assess the Canon Separatists rather than the Legends because OBVIOUSLY legends is going to win. Who would win? Darth Caedus or Kylo Ren? Obviously the legends version! Because everything in legends is taken to VERY HIGH GEAR! Anyway, on with it: Did you know that the Separatists Navy may not even be that large? Going by canon, not sure if this was in Legends too but, a third of the Separatists Navy was in the Battle of Coruscant. And guess what- they only had little over a thousand ships at the battle. So, obviously, 1000 being a third the total for their navy should at least be little over 3000. Now, this isn't too great for the First Order because they're notoriously small even with new information. But I'm just trying to show that the Separatists aren't quite as massive as everyone thought. Now, for the First Order's navy fleet, they haven't given us too specific numbers but it's been said that they have enough capital ships to:"reclaim control over the entire galaxy." And capital ships are like Star Destroyers and such, so this isn't even taking into account their frigates. But apparently thanks to Battlefront 2, they have "hundreds" of vessels built and at max that could be bordering 1000, with Ech estimating they had a little over a thousand themselves. I'll admit, it's a little generous, but continuing on with the assumption that the First Order equates to 1/3 of their navy, I agree with you that because Starkiller has the potential to destroy many shipyards, factories and lower moral by destroying important worlds to them, then that gives them even better odds. Oh and something about Starkiller Base is that its mobile thanks to rocket ports. So that may be something to consider. Anyway, military wise it's again rather cryptic with "thousands." However, in the Rise of Skywalker novelization it seemed that the Sith Eternal had hundreds of thousands. And that many of them were originally recruited by the First Order and only the ones spies thought had potential were given to them. So I think it's safe to say the First Order had a decent amount in space and ground. Though the Separatists will always have the numbers and industrial advantage, the First Order as the commenter above pointed out had Resurgents that heavily outgunned most, if not all Separatists ships. 1,500+ turbolasers, ion cannons, and- to use against the Separatists starfighters, point defense laser cannons as well. With all this in mind, I think if the First Order plays it REALLY, REALLY smart and attacks and defends when they need to, then they have a chance at actually winning. I know I'm probably sounding extremely biased all throughout so allow me to mitigate that. The First Order are definitely have the disadvantage. Not only by numbers, but also tactically. They never seemed to have extremely skilled strategists in their ranks other than potentially a few Imperial survivors. But if the First Order can act like a much deadlier Rebellion and manages to blitz properly whilst sticking together, I think it'd be a rather interesting war.

Also important to note is that Kylo Ren doesn't even come close to the strength of Grievous, Dooku, or important big bad guy the CIS has, each of them were able to singlehandedly take on some of the best Jedi alive whereas Kylo Ren was utterly destroyed by Rey, who isn't even as good as a padawan, and barely beat a stormtrooper (Finn) in lightsaber combat, even though Finn doesn't seem to even have the force and had no prior lightsaber experience.

The thing is though, the CIS was supposed to lose the battle of Coruscant. Palpatine staged it so that he could turn Anakin to the darkside, and decimate the Separatist fleet. That way, turning the republic into the empire would be easier.
Edit: also, the Clone Wars was orchestrated by Sidious, and the CIS was designed to win. Plus with the blockade of Ryloth, Anakin literally faked a surrender (which is a war crime) and crashed his ship into the blockade.
All of the CiS losses were because of Palpatine. He struggled with keeping the CiS in check, as he knew they could easily overpower the Republic

Ik this video is a bit old but I wanna point without the influence of palpatine almost 75% of the droids the CIS had at its disposal which even they still numbered in 100s of billions of droids. If the full force of the droid army was unleashed the republic with the command of grievous trench and a couple other tactical geniuses the republic would have been fighting a never ending wave of droids and would have lost way before The GAR could have even surmounted enough clones to fight back
The Star Wars galaxy gets smaller and more broken with each trilogy: from a grand republic to a large empire to a fragment of former power vs a sweeping alliance of separatists to a conspiracy of rebellion to a defeated paramilitary cell.
My take on this:
CIS forces outnumber the FO in ridiculous numbers. Even if FO has, say, 10 million stormtroopers, they'll still be outnumbered by dozens, as the CIS has to have at least 500 million or so and that's only the basic battledroids, so no SBD's, Droidekas or Magnaguards included. Same with starfighters. A single Providence carries ~250 droid starfighters and TRI-fighters and the CIS has at least hundreds if not thousands of them. They also have hundreds of Providence Dreadnoughts, which are essentially the double in size to the standard. All sizes of the Providence also carried at least a million battle droids. Add to that at least tens of thousands Munificent-class frigates and, let's be generous to the FO, around 1000 Lucrehulks and the picture is pretty obvious: The FO is screwed no matter what. Hell, if the CIS wanted, they could just kamikaze their way through by ignoring the FO fleet and just pounding on the SKB's planetary shield, assuming it has one. No matter how strong it was, it would be gone in a short time with the firepower the CIS has. Then, with the shield gone, they could keep ignoring the fleet and just Base Delta Zero the base within a matter of minutes, if that, with the tens of thousands of ships they have.
You mentioned Durge as personal favorite and that's already enough for a like! Haha

The Republic and that alliance start in the core worlds, Empire and friends in the unknown regions, and the UNSC and Covenant sandwiched in the middle. I will spam this if you do not at least mention it in an episode.
CIS and the Empire could easily mop the floor with the Republic, Resistance, and the Rebellion.
