I received mine a week ago. So far, so good, although I found editing the map difficult - it didn't want to divide the rooms the way I wanted. I also found it helpful to turn the volume all the way down so I don't have to listen to it announce every little function, such as cleaning the mop, repositioning, etc. If there's a problem, the app will notify me anyway.
I'm not 100% here. This year has the new design with two rollers. If you want one too just vacuum you might want to look at Roomba S9 but got something that also mops this or three X2 is probably your best bet
I enjoyed your review more of a real-world review, which I like. I just ordered the S8 Pro Plus and am looking forward to getting it I currently have the S5 and wanted to upgrade and move my S5 upstairs to replace my E20. I could not afford the Ultra and don't care about the mopping as much, so it wasn't worth the 700 dollars more. It was hard enough to justify the 799, lol.
Honestly don't think its valuable enough to make a decision off of. I think it for sure helps but the big decisions are on navigation, obstacles, how often do I have to change water/bag out, does it work... these are the big things to me. On this one you get the dual roller but only 1 sweeper. On the T20 you get two sweepers but one roller. You really can't go wrong with this or the T20 or the X2. It really comes down to do you like the way it looks. They all have the same features. The huge downside to this one, I talk about in the video about the way it is setup in the dock. Hope this helps
This definitely helps! The only reason why I wasn’t going to go with the Q7Max was because it didn’t have the double rollers, I think Ik what I’m going to get now
Right now s7 maxv ultra is like $700 on ebay was thinking of getting two of them one for each floors rather than getting one s8 pro ultra for one of the floors. Can I get your thoughts on this please ?
Good review ! So expensive!!! But I’d pay it if it would maneuver transition strips between rooms with LVP flooring and many ruggables of different sizes. So far in my research I’m hearing this product can do this. Is there another robo vac product known to be as good for what I need? I am trying to avoid a product that gets hung up on transition strips and rug edges that may not be laying 100% flat. I don’t necessarily have to have one that mops, my biggest need is help with pet hair.
Great question. If you do want one that mops and does not get your carpet wet, then this S8 Pro Ultra or the Deebot X2 are the best around today for that. Both I've had no issues with transitions. If you want one that just vacuums with pet hair and is solid, then the king is iRobot Roomba S9+ amzn.to/3ToWkdn there is a newer model I haven't tested but from my research the s9+ is still better for pet and even higher pile carpet than the new j9+ amzn.to/3uUyEn7 I'm really into ones that do vacuum and mopping as I'm always looking for options that clean my house completely for me. My upstairs is the j7+ th-cam.com/video/ezpRrFU4P-g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ADr_JOMmA4shmhB6 and does great but I only keep pets occasionally for family and they are not dogs that shed. This is my best advice, feel free to ask more questions. Hope this helps.

Very informative! You covered a lot of material that you can't find in other reviews. Nice work. 🎉
Love a truthful review. Keep at it!!
I did what you said and asked my wife to get a second set for the 2nd floor of the house and I got a beat down.
I enjoyed the video. Have you reviewed the new Eufy X9 pro?

Awesome!!
How tall is it? Does that little thing on the top keep it from fitting under furniture?
Does the main brush get tangled with dog hairs? I have the previous version and I had this issue very often. I have a long hair German shepherd

what are your thoughts on q revo and how does it compare?

Did you find the dual brushes made a difference? I am debating between the Q7Max, Q5 Pro, and the S7 but cannot decide....

Here's my video on that version th-cam.com/video/-EFUqx2NtuA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Pvcm7wMhu3OgiQss
I have have white baseboards, have you noticed any scuffing on your baseboards. My Neato botvac leaves scuff everywhere.
I've never tested a Neato, but none of mine have scuffed my floors or baseboards. Roborock, T20, X1, and iRobots no issues for me nor anyone I know.
Do you still have the s7 maxv ultra? And will you be keeping the deebot t20 Omni?
Upgrading every year right now lol and right now T20 is my fav
Its probably wired to have the battery in the front on the incline so if it leaks it wont damage the charging.
I heard 3D obstacle is not that good compared to S7 Max V.
I think it's better than the S7 MaxV Ultra and the best yet from them.
And thats a problem?
