Previous versions of these wouldn’t automatically go back to the docking station when the dust bin was full part water thru a cleaning then return and continue. Does this model go back to the dock when the bin is full then return to where it was and continue? Thanks.
Do you think there is a big difference between this and the non-v version? I ask as you can save $400 by going with the non-v version if you purchase directly from Roborock from 4/22-4/28. Also, do you think this would be a big upgrade from a Roomba I8+?!? :)
Great question. I would rather save $400 personally for the non-v but that is just how I operate lol It will be a big upgrade due to all the mopping/self cleaning and you will really enjoy it!
Just remember the non v version will not have the upgraded camera for obstacle avoidance it will be the same as the s8 model so if obstacle avoidance is a priority then maybe the $400 upgraded version might be worth it
Do you have to manually wet the mop pad I had the roborock s7 max V and you could put water and cleaner in the robot but it never put on enough to wet the pad on its own is that still the case? Thank for your help
Thanks for the video 😊 How well do you think this will work in a 2 storey house? Can you just chuck it upstairs, and it will just work? Maybe bring to dock upstairs for a day for it to clean upstairs?
Yes you can just bring it up without the dock and it will work great! If you have floors upstairs to mop and clean it would be ideal to bring the base us as well but that can be a real pain!
Hello, I love your videos you’re doing great, I need your help I’m confused between this robot and eufy x10 pro omni, which one is better and which should I pick
Hey David, thanks for the great video! I noticed you have what looks to be a high piled shag rug. Any issues with the robot vacuum getting stuck on it? I have something similar and I can’t use our cordless vacuum on it because the carpet strands will get stuck on it. Thanks in advance!
Shag rugs are not friends of robot vacuums. This one is able to navigate and clean it which is a bonus so no issues. If yours does have issues just setup a no-go zone for it!
Great question. They are very similar! I like the L20 better with the mop extend vs the robo with the brush extend. No need to upgrade or change what you have imo!
It looks like the same problem I have with S7 MaxV Ultra, is going to be on this new vacuum. I never refill the water tank on the vacuum on my own, because it auto fills it, but today, I was looking at the cashback offer, and cleaning it up for pictures, and there is brown build up or mold/mildew in the tank! So I have been cleaning my floors with dirty water! gross! I have found the same brown mildew in my clean water tank too, but Today is the first time I even looked at the vacuum's water tank. Please come out with a better solution to add to the Roborock products! It says you are only allowed to use Roborock cleaning solution, so now I don't know what to do!
Thanks for sharing this! So you have yours connected to a waterline where it feeds it automatically? Given the nature of sitting water you best bet is to just clean periodically to prevent any mold/mildew. Maybe add in some diluted dish soap every once in a while?
Thanks for the review. But the movable arm doesn't do a good job in the corners. All too short time to clean/spin before the robot itself come in the corner and stop the arm brush from spinning. Not worthy a flagship that cost +1500$. Hope this will be fixed.
I mean, that looks like a lot of dirt after one pass… It really isn’t if you compare it to a good quality corded vacuum. You would have five times or more as much. I have the S7 max V ultra and it is an amazing Robot Vacuum with the exception that it just really doesn’t do carpet that well… I have a very old NEATO Vac that goes after it and gets what the Roborock left behind…
Cordless Vacuum > Robot Vacuum but you have to clean vs having a robot do it! We have found for whatever reason the top of the line Roombas just seems to clean carpets the best! Even if they don't score as well in our testing you just can't be the j9 or s9 series vacuums!
@@DigitalDavid true and well said. I guess sending the robot out to get a little bit and watching it is better than me dragging the cord all over the house and getting all the dirt… For sure! Who needs exercise when they can be the epitome of lazy 😂😂
Great review but comparing electric vehicles to vacuum robots is apples and oranges. I used to have an electric vehicle hated it went back to internal combustion.
The assessment is too sketchy, there is no actual test of the ability to sweep and mop the house, the ability to extend the broom to sweep corners and clean close to the wall is not tested, wasting my time.
So what exactly do you want to see to bring more clarity to what you mentioned? Always looking for feedback and actionable steps we can take to make it better. We have a few more videos planned for this in the next month
When you evaluate a new robot vacuum cleaner, you must do practical tests of its advantages, for example: the edge brush can reach out to clean corners, how well the auxiliary rotating mop disc cleans the edge of the wall. You simply read the manufacturer's specifications, which are easy to find on news websites. @@DigitalDavid
You have to test its actual cleaning ability and the effectiveness of its upgrades. During the video, you only introduced it verbally without specific test results. You may not be an expert in reviewing these products. @@DigitalDavid
Well, this is more of a Tv-shop channel that depends on good cooperation with the manufacturers, otherwise there will be no more free machines to test, I hope these channels die out in the near future!
We need your feedback! How can we improve our vacuum reviews? Also we will be making more videos on this vacuum so what do you want to see/know?
You can start by not taking money from the producer of the product you're testing. This is just an ad.
How is the actual mopping capability? I’m skeptical on the vibration pad
A comparison with the dreame X40 ultra would be awesome! I’m debating between those 2 right now! Great video as usual!
Previous versions of these wouldn’t automatically go back to the docking station when the dust bin was full part water thru a cleaning then return and continue. Does this model go back to the dock when the bin is full then return to where it was and continue? Thanks.
It does, it mentions that it can empty the bin after and during cleanups on the official site.
Yes it can which is great!
Thanks for helping out the community!! Appreciate you!

@@illphaticx4440that’s a good call out. Although, I’m used to picking things up prior to my Roomba going around so not a huge deal for me.
What cameras you use for this video?
when does the arm pop out for the corners? I never see it extended.
You can adjust sensitivity in the app if you want to see it more! Usually just corners!
Loved watching your review of the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra! Don't miss out on experiencing the future of cleaning technology! 🤩
The future is here!!!
Do you have to manually wet the mop pad I had the roborock s7 max V and you could put water and cleaner in the robot but it never put on enough to wet the pad on its own is that still the case?
Thank for your help
No I've never had to manually wet it!
@ ok good then the other one you couldn’t even see the floor get wet unless you wet it yourself
Great review; thanks for sharing. We just purchased. I do need, however, to figure out how to map this puppy.
You got this!!!
Is the "extra" hardware inside the clean water tank an ION cartridge to prevent mold?
I don't recall our middle having one! I'd need to rewatch and look at the clean water tank again!
AMAZING REVIEW! Thanks for all the helpful info.
Welcome!
this one or X30 Ultra?

Do you know how many litres the water tanks hold?
100ml onboard tank and I am not sure top of my head the main clean water bin!

No! You can see everything we got 01:01 in the video!

Does it pick up better than S8 ?
They claim its 4000Pa stronger.
My S8 wasnt able on even max mode to suck up moist sand particles.
Real world you might notice a slight increase in performance vs the S8 but yeah the regular S8 is already fantastic for what it is!!!
Do you think this robot is better than the Dreame L20 Ultra.? I have that one
Great question. They are very similar! I like the L20 better with the mop extend vs the robo with the brush extend. No need to upgrade or change what you have imo!
Yes I do love the mop extend! Just wish it had the hot washing and the more powerful suction.
@@melissadoherty4370 other reviews have said the hot washing is at best slightly warm washing… It just doesn’t get that hot

I just cleaned mine up and took pictures for the trade-in program and didn’t see that, but I have read where others were having that issue…
@@macsterguy Ok, thanks. I thought I might be the only one with this issue.
just drop a squirt of white vinegar in the tank and no more mold (also no vinegar smell when it evaporates on your floor)
Should I buy gigabyte G32QC-A or LG 32GN650-B monitor ??
I like both brands and their panel quality. I'd probably say buy whatever one is more budget friendly

i don't like the security idea of an IoT robot with constant internet access equipped with a RGB camera...
Totally understand that!! You are not alone in that way of thinking!
This robot cleans very well. Just not as well as my wife.
hahaha I'm sure you'd be hard pressed to find one that can clean better than a good wife

For 1800$ with all that's available on the master, no thanks. 1000$ for the master
Yeah value wise the master is a no brainer compared to the S8!
