Great drive! Do you do your own setup tweaks? I only ever run default setups, even in the open races. Had to pit for fuel with 10 mins remaining. Is there something i could do better?
You mean the iracing spa setup? Of just a fixed one? I would definitely try and find a setup for open races, the fixed can be slower at most tracks. Have a look in the fourms and stuff and get talking to people. Sometimes they might share a setups with you. I use a few different setups, sometimes it's a majors, or VRS other times we have a team mate that makes setups

I don't understand moving under braking. What is the difference between that and late braking / aggressively trail braking into the corner? Don't you always start turning while still braking at least a little?
So that corner you brake in a straight line down the kerb, he moved away from the white line and then drove in a diagonal line before the turning in point. My issue is I was too close for him to pull a move like this, and it increase the risk of a crash
There is nothing wrong with him taking the diagonal line whether you are close or not. He was dead straight (just not parallel to the white line). Dead straight is not moving left or right. You have arbitrarily chosen to label the white line as the correct orientation. There is no correct. He can equally say you were moving under braking because your frame of reference (ie the white line) diverged from his frame of reference (ie the diagonal). He is ahead. He has a right to pick his line.
I would disagree here, there isn't safe space to move in a diagonal line here. He wasn't full clear of me and netcode can do some really weird things. iRacing needs to have racing room and at the corner there isn't really a cars width either. The braking line is down the kerb and that would be the normal and predictable thing to do. If I was further behind then yes he could do that perfect fine, but I'm too close. Also its the start of the right left right complex he doesn't need to defend the inside here he will have the inside for the left hander and a better open line for the next faster right hander, he was mostly like going to be ahead by the end of that so the risk to award for his move is high in my opinion.

Moving under braking is when you move in a heavy braking zone when normally you are at max pressure. As you trail it’s no longer moving under braking.
