hot lap? you mean a full speed lap. No like to keep the video shorter and to the points in the corners. personally its easier to learn braking points to complete a lap and then people can adjust from a "baseline" point in the corner. if you feel you need to change it, you can. A lot of people follow the train tracks which may work for a few drivers but we all driver slightly differently, we all have different strengths and that takes time to learn yourself.

Yeah its called being disappointed, am I not allowed to do that now? I was really enjoying that race and then it ended. Also the only thing I pointed out to the GT4 driver was that it looked like he out broke himself, he then explained that he broke at the 3 marker and he thought that was ok, he didn't anticipate the braking performance of a LMP3. fair comment. yes he tried to avoid me, which was more of a reflex response than him actively make a choice given the quick choices you have to make at those moments. that corner with that barrier there was only one place he was going to end up. it was a honest mistake from him and we talked about it, no hard feeling towards him - but I am allowed to feel disappointed, and ask questions to the other driver.

Yeah I do too! I did a race last night and 1 tiny mistake and it's race over! 12mintues with only 12 racers is harsh IMO

@Tdi99 less is more in my eyes. The only thing I would add would be a quick brake marker for the turns, but this is awesome for a quick look before jumping in. Time is precious these days and I find something like the VRS guides are just too in depth for what I want.

@Tdi99 I think it was the fixed setup... I tried the iRacing MDF setup and it was 10x better at Suzuka (in practice with the same temps). Hopefully they fix that setup otherwise the fixed series might be a struggle.

@matthewbarrett8859 sadly I don't even have any good setup to run the open so yeah I do hope that they make the fixed one better

@@cr1pton1c I did actually run the default fixed in a private test too, and it felt ok, now I'm wondering if the understeer is the debris on track? Maybe it impacts the 499 tyres more than other cars?

@@matthewbarrett8859the fixed iRacing setups are usually rubbish and understeery tbf, for me at least.

Very possible the different session setting may make a difference, but I definitely think braking is going to be why people stay away from this thing

Yes driving it a daytona I did notice it gets to 199mph, the GTP's last season didn't get near that speed (if I remember correctly)

Your are 100% right! Just watched it back! Nice spot! Any idea what the 2 bars are either side of the gear display. I thought it was regen and deployment but the bars seems to work at different times of the track.

havent test the spotter to be fair, but I normally use crewcheif - finger crossed he will get a update too!

@Tdi99 i used both for a while but for the last 2 seasons i'm on the iracing guy exclusively - i don't think Crew Chief will have the data to provide damage details. Crew Chief is still way more entertaining but i welcome not having to run all the 3rd party software

​@Tdi99 i think my response got lost or i forgot to hit ENTER :) i used to use Crew Chief and the iRacing spotter in tandem but 2 seasons ago i switched to just the ingame one. it's always going to be more accurate and I'm not sure Crew Chief will ever have access to the damage data at the detail level they are adding.

for some reason both you comment were "held for review"? very weird. crewchief uses the API from iracing so maybe there are extra entries for damage that is can pick up on. having said that i do use the iracing spotter but text only for the damage and weather reports.

YES that is a big win! LMP3 enduro races were a a big wish list for most people!

yeah i done a little testing with no issues, and im really liking the tyre model, but this is only on iRacing fixed setups which are "saver" 🤣🤣🤣

Haven't tried the other GTP's I would imagine it is mostly the tyre model helping, but that whine is amazing!! The braking did remind me of the Lmp1 the way you lock the tyres and you basically loose everything.

@@MatthewScerriM I will say that the 499 has stolen my heart because of the ability to bind brake migration and just the implementation of the system. Overall I’ve had great fun with it

I think the caddy has brake migration does it not?

@Tdi99 it does but I do think the 499s migration is a lot stronger

@Tdi99 it does and it also is unable to be bound to a wheel button and can only be changed in the blackbox

Only driven teh fixed set up at Suzuka so far and not very impressed with that. Brakes don't seem to work, I have no feeling on the front end (might be a wheelbase issue), really struggled to drive it. Definitely need to see what the set up shops do with it, but so far prefer my beloved Caddy.

I love the sound and in my opinion its the best hyper car/ LMDH on the game nut it does feel quite understeery

Yeah I like the sound, and yes I didn't find the understeer too bad, but I have heard people saying that at suzuka
