If i recall correctly, this group was originally intended to be called: "Death god unit" or "Death god squad" depending on the appeal. but i guess it was expected that there would be some form of censorship given that they also censored Menno Ruh's emblem.
You recall correct the death god squad so say the after book. But as you say i think there has to be some form of censorship or maybe the translators did not like the name ha ha.
Trying to find a connection to these guys' origin can be a pain, but I did like the link you found about J being from the fourth generation, so the other members could be from that generation, too. Which dramatically cut your sample pool down to a couple of candidates. The next challenge would be trying to tie a story around the members of the Zodiac from ACV. This is another great video for me to think about long after this is over. ^_^

This is a reminder to all: That fighting Maggie with Day After Day playing through the DLC music pack, is hella cinematic. Also I heard J has his own AC. Was hoping to hear your thoughts on that one because I heard it was raw dog arse lmao
Good reminder ha ha and honestly i dislike light weight ac in general. And grim reaper J ac is just that. A real you have to keep moving or end up as swiss cheese even by normal foes. Is has low ap, can't take shots and you end up very much like N's craft. Playing hide and seek with foes until you can hit them and then run away and hide. Only N craft is better in my mind. I will be honest its an ac i do hate to play as.
@@armoredcorelore Damn. As a mid to light weight pilot myself, I love it. Funny enough, I've heard from more experienced GenV pilots that its actually kinda donger, which I said is an extreme testament to J's skill as a pilot against someone like Maggie.

Greeeeat, having to kill Kasumi again, yay... Sure she is a clone, and its a different generation, as well as another player character all together, but still... Honestly I was dreading that was the case when realizing that they are just like J, and her name starts with a K. Ironically it sort of brings everything back together. Strayed doomed, but technically "saved" the world in the past by causing such utter destruction he erased most of what came before in an already dying world, a great reset of sorts. Meanwhile Fatman's Mercenary fights to prevent the species from being eradicated by the end of the game. If the theory that the outcome of the conflict post ACVD leads into either the AC1, and AC2 timeline, or alternatively the one from AC3 based on the results of the war hold true... in the end Fatman, and his Mercenary somehow succeeded, even if they may have lost their lives in the process.

Our fights with J and reaper squad/Zodiac are the metaphorically proved that Raven is better than Lynxes imo A normal dude without any augmentation could beat the shit out of everyone and even peoples who sacrificed their humanity if you worked hard enough
On the topic of Ravens and LYNXes, it must be sad and sobering for OG AC players from Gen 1-3 to see Armored Cores and Ravens get utterly curbstomped by NEXTs in the National Dismantlement War and be relegated to the status of Normals in the 4th Gen games.
Overcoming the odd as a normal being. To be fair i don't think the reapers nor the Zodiacs could ever be like lynxs or ravens. Never really human or clone of the past they lack what make people well people. Fears, dreams, hopes the things a computer can't have and the best advantage any human has over a clone or computer in this sense is doing something complete out there with no logic or reason.

My thoughts are that the Reapers, as clones, might possess some of the same physiological traits as the originals (reactive speed, neuromuscular efficiency, etc.) It is even possible that the Reapers' combat training could have exceeded the originals on which they were based. But, without the same level of experiences and motivations, they are completely different individuals. Once the Reapers became Phantasma-Beings, I would argue that they are no different than Large Language Models that are only as good as the input that they have receive. Great post!
