HUGE thank you! I decided to finally start getting serious about making my art streaming channel LOOK good and not basic while still making sure that OBS or SLOBS don’t make my laptop have a heart attack while working in ArtRage or mirroring my ipad for Procreate stuff.
That browser docking option was something I didn’t know existed, and that should help with running my copyright free music playlist from here on TH-cam without, again, killing the computer. Or for when I want to have a soundboard open.
Seriously, HUGE thanks! And I’m definetely going to check out your stinger transitions video as well. I watched another video on how to make those, aaaaand their description lost me. ^^

The popout stream preview dock is just what I needed! Took me a second to find it, for anyone looking here's where to find yours:
Twitch - Creator Dashboard - Stream Manager - Then hit the three dots in the "Stream Preview" window for the pop-out.
    Thanks for the awesome tips!

3:30 .. Keep in mind though, even if you use a custom browser dock for Stream Labels, you still need to have the Stream Labels app open in order for any on screen text-based widgets to refresh properly. If you have labels on your overlay, the OBS Studio activity widget won’t work if you only use the docked recent events window. The Stream Labels app saves everything to a txt file that OBS Studio reads for recent followers and such, but it needs for Stream Labels to be open in order to do that.

Another nice tip on the nested scenes is you can apply filters to a scene independently from a source. For instance, I want my game play to be transparent on my just chatting screen. I can add my game capture to a scene, then add that scene to my just chatting. Then I can add an opacity filter to the new scene and not effect the actual game capture at all.

Some useful tips their, especially the nested scenes. I think you might have made a minor mistake at 7:07 about which audio tracks are used in the stream broadcast. In OBS Studio in Settings Output-> streaming tab, if you specify 'advanced mode' (and not 'simple mode'), you pick via a radio button which track you want to broadcast and it's default to track 1 only. Something for users to watch out for. In 'Simple Mode' I'm guessing all tracks are merged into the stream output then? I've not tried that myself so I can't confirm either way, cheers.

Thank you so much for the video! I have a question about one of these tips tho - I've added the pop-up of Streamlabs Live Events to OBS. However, the area on my scene where I have recent follower/sub etc. was not updated till I've opened the Streamlabs app itself. I haven't tested this new change during the live stream, so it's only an off-stream experience. But since this didn't update, now I'm wondering if I won't encounter the same problem during live broadcast?

For some reason when I started streaming today the only video quality that was possible to use for viewers was 1080p. Normally there is 160p, 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p. I totally want you to talk about recommended plugins. I stream to clients and create training videos. I'm wondering if there is any native software based green screen for OBS. I haven't found any. I'm sure your main audience is more oriented to streamers, but the rest of us can learn a thing or two from you. You have us "professionals" beat hands down when it comes to your professional content. Anyway, you have a great video and you give a great delivery. Thank you.
