For anyone having issues with the replay file not updating to the latest saved replay, you need to ensure that you have set a hotkey for "Instant Replay" in settings -> hotkeys, and you are using that hotkey to save your replays 👍
I ran into this problem also, I had the hot keys set but I was not actively recording. As soon as I recorded for 20 seconds then hit the hot keys it worked perfectly thank you

For the zoom effect just setup a filter on the 'Instant Replay [NS]' source with a move transition that will zoom it in when the filter is active and then return it after time and then auto deactivates the filter (it's an option) or when you toggle that filter again it returns. Then setup a hotkey for that filter using OBS Tools for the streamdeck and you don't need another secondary nested scene

Bro the replay buffer is not upper updating, or it is the latest replay buffer is not playing when I click on the instant replay. How can I get my saved replay buffer to select the lates one?

You may want to do an update to this for people who want to keep the replay clips for some projects later. I set this up a few years ago but these new plug-ins make it easier. I will say you can look into how Directory Monitor works to use this to copy the file that shows in this location to a different location after renaming the file.

Does the audio come through for you? everything works for me but sound, I see the replay and all and No sound is coming out lol I watch the replay in my recordings and there is sound. Or is there just no sound for this replay?

It was working fine then randomly stopped working all of a sudden. It is still playing the same clip over and over again. I tried deleting everything and starting fresh following your tutorial to a T, but it's still not working. Just plays the exact same video over and over again and YES I have the hotkeys correct.

For the latest version of OBS there is no source Mirro as mentioned at 12:20 Can you help with that? I will really appreciate. And you also said at the beginning of this tutorial that each time I save Replay Buffer, the old footage will be replace by the new one. But it is not happening. I got so many saved replays buffer and each time I try replay, only the first replay buffer pop up.

For *OBS 28* Users out there, a couple of things. If you're using the stream deck for this, you'll want to get OBS Tools [Barraider], enable WebSocket in OBS, and use the Hotkey trigger. I'll be sure to tell you why. 6:49. He entered a key from the stream deck as a hotkey in OBS. This did not work for me in OBS 28. Nothing registered when pressing any stream deck keys in this section Solution. I enabled WebSocket so that I can use OBS tools [barraider], and use the Hotkey trigger action. Follow the instructions on how to get WebSocket in OBS going, as that can be its own bag of tricks. Using Streamdeck's hotkey action under system, and instant replay under obs tools did not work for me either. There's an issue where these actions are not being recognized in OBS, so even though the stream deck would do the other actions, it would not initiate the instant replay action. 15:10 So as I mentioned, System: Hotkey does not work for me. So change that first action from that to OBS Tools, Hotkey trigger, set it to whatever hotkey you have set for OBS for instant replays, follow everything else and you're good to go. Please note that the StreamFX plugin is not working on OBS 28 either, so I'll need to find a solution for blurring the background later on. I don't know if anyone is using this for OBS 28, but if you are, and it's working for you, the way the video instructs, please let me know. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I followed the video to the word, and the only thing that's different from this 2-year-old video is the version of OBS. He's on 25 while OBS 28 has some issues that result in a lot of people sticking to OBS 27. I hope this helps. I'm not trying to take over, but it may be time for a refresh as the methods that worked then aren't working now.

I know this video was made for OBS Studio, however would you happen to know anything about it working in streamlabs? 80% of the time when i set up a multi action on my stream deck it wont capture anything? the hoykey action for saving the capture isnt getting pressed unless i physically press the button, and even then 75% of the time it wont save anything with the replay buffer on

i cant find source mirror or the blur effect? but I installed the streamFX folder just like in the video? Edit: was able to solve the problem by using the .exe file instead of downloading and unpacking the .zip. The other .zip file was able to install correctly but for some reason the streamFX one did not. Either way simply try running the .exe and letting the installer do the work if you are running into the same problem. Btw great video. Loving the extra level its given my stream

Perhaps you can try a new tutoría with the replay plug in, as it allows a replay source and saves the buffer , loading video, putting same names and configuring multiple hotkeys stuff. But my question to you, HOW MUCH Gaming Performance will it cost to have a Replay Buffer running and a blurred Mirror Scene from the Game when you are streaming on a single PC Setup? . Streaming Apex Legends with the CPU and an AMD GPU already gives me 15-20% FPS less and moreover a noticeable "Input" Lag, no matter the Quality/StreamResolution Settings, and having the GPU now managing a Replay Buffer and an another even blurred Scene (which you say costs even more) makes me believe...NOPE, not gonna be a good thing on for me at least. . With DualPC Setups like Shroud have...sure, easy nobrainer. But maybe you have some personal experiences with HOW much Performance this really costs. . When you open the stream deck program on the right side you have the ''system'' option. Assign the ''hotkey'' to one of your buttons and at the drop down menu for the hotkey you can go to ''F-keys'' and assign any key from f1 to f24 you want. Sorry if the translation is not 100% accurate, my stream deck program is in german.
So Far so good, only struggling with the blur, don't have source mirror in the list ? When I go towards Stream FX I only have 6 attets there and not the one you picked. Is this the issue ?

5:45 so having a replay system implemented on my stream would stop me from multi streaming? i use the advanced recording tap to add my stream url + stream key (fom YT For EX) in the recording path. would there be any other way to keep the replay and multi stream?

I managed to get everything working except picking up the latest replay video. It seems to be stuck picking up one from a couple of captures ago. I think I may have my stream deck multi action thingy configured wrong. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Alright so, I have done the tutorial and went over it a few times and I cannot get the script to update the Instant Replay media file. I have the hotkey set and am using it for the instant replay and it's all set up with OBS. I can see it is saving the instant replay but not changing the file in the source so the Instant replay scene always shows the same video

When you open the stream deck program on the right side you have the ''system'' option. Assign the ''hotkey'' to one of your buttons and at the drop down menu for the hotkey you can go to ''F-keys'' and assign any key from f1 to f24 you want. Sorry if the translation is not 100% accurate, my stream deck program is in german.

Another plugin for those who want to use a different transition for most scenes, but the move transition between the game and the replay; Transition Override Matrix. Allows you to set transitions to and from specific scenes.

Any idea how to be able these vids at the same time be able to use the instant replay? I mean the save replay button overwrites the old highlight so it is gone. Is there a way that we can save that clip?

i use the advanced recording tap to add my stream url + stream key (fom YT For EX) in the recording path. would there be any other way to keep the replay and multi stream?

I managed to get everything working except picking up the latest replay video. It seems to be stuck picking up one from a couple of captures ago. I think I may have my stream deck multi action thingy configured wrong. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Alright so, I have done the tutorial and went over it a few times and I cannot get the script to update the Instant Replay media file. I have the hotkey set and am using it for the instant replay and it's all set up with OBS. I can see it is saving the instant replay but not changing the file in the source so the Instant replay scene always shows the same video
