    What are your thoughts on Lonzo's future with the Lakers?

    • @dankburrito4219
      @dankburrito4219 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED Lonzo is young he's a rookie and is just inconsistent as most rookies are. The problem is they want him to fail because of his father. I've said it time and time again that if Lonzo fails it's all on Lavar Ball. Maybe that was the plan all along. Shannon is really off about what he's doing now. He's improving, not as nice as other guys like Mitchell, Dennis Smith.

    If you don’t watch the Lakers play, you will not see the impact Lonzo has on the team. The minute you pull Zo out of the game, the offense stagnates, and believe it or not, their defense struggles as well. What Lonzo contributes doesn’t show up on the stat sheet. Like Skip said, he will impact the game in a subtle way.

    Kuzma better than Lonzo ??? Kuzma's slump right now is as bad as Lonzo's in the beginning of the season lmao. Hes scoring less than 10 points now. And thats bad cuz all he can do is score lmao. At least Lonzo affects the game on every other way other than scoring but people cant see that cuz they think scoring is the only thing in basketball.

      NubMaster1 lonzo is a point guard and kuzma is a forward lol of course lonzo is gonna be required to do more cmon bruh Kuzma is a forward getting buckets, defending, and is capable of doing way more than getting buckets better yet its called BASKETball right? And the most points win, right? Plus Kuz has been WAY more consistent foh Plus Kuz is killer, Lonzo isn't a killer cmon man 😂 Not sayin he's gonna be better than zo in the future, but so far...yeah kuz better

    Rob parker a certified goof, only 2 players before this season have averaged 10 7 7 as a rookie, their names are Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson. Lonzo has been an elite passer, elite rebounder for a guard, elite defender, and now hes shooting elite, lonzo is going to be a superstar not just an all star

  • @CloudGOML
    @CloudGOML 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    No matter how good Lonzo plays in his games, Rob Parker will just interject with, "Oh, but look at his shooting percentages." Lmao, what about assists, rebounds, facilitating an offence, getting everyone involved, being the youngest rookie to get a triple-double, and literally everything other than shooting? Rob Parker, at this point, is just trying to support his idiotic claim of calling Lonzo a bust by looking at the one poor attribute of shooting that Lonzo has right now. On top of all of this, Lonzo is still a rookie being heavily criticized, in a biased manner, in spite of his trajectory as only getting better as he develops in the league! If Stephen A had one thing to say about Robert Parker, it would be this: BLASPHEMOUS!

    • @valrond
      @valrond 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    All Rob did was point to shooting stats, which is convenient. He's top 5 of all rookies when it comes to assists, steals, rebounds, and even blocks. Scoring isn't the only thing you have to do as an NBA player. Lonzo can do a lot more than most of the other rookies in his class.

  • @ariefputraart

    Rob Parker just wanted to be noticed by saying the "B" word. As long as Lonzo's stat still shaky, this guy will still get a job. Skip vs Shannon always makes me smile, like seeing 2 huge sport nerds arguing about their favorite players. Throw in Rob Parker in there, then suddenly this show doesn't feel appealing anymore.

  • @raginasiangaming910
    @raginasiangaming910 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I agree with Skip. I watched a TH-camr (can't remember who) who made a video breaking down Lonzo's shot struggles. The basic conclusion that he came to (and that I agree with) was that his major problem was with his footwork. He was over-compensating for the increased 3-point range in the NBA and bricking a lot of shots. It looks like Lonzo has taken steps to mitigate this.However, I think that 50%+ is an aberration created in part because a lot of teams were leaving him open (due to previous struggles) and daring him to shoot. I imagine that Lonzo will probably level out to around 40%, which is still damn good! I hope that he does develop into a star. The stars are what make the NBA an exciting league to watch.

  • @leroyglam3920
    @leroyglam3920 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Rob's right. Lonzo made some wide open or barely contested threes. Nice, though not superstar nice. But he's still not converting in the paint, and his free throw shooting needs to come up. Is Zo a bust? No, he can have a good, productive NBA career. But is he what Lavar, Magic and Skip sold - you know, life-changing, show-stopping? No.

      youre right...so does that mean hes better then jayson tatum, markenen, j. isaac, josh jackson, and fox? these networks have praised most of these guys and yet jayson tatum has hit a brutal rookie wall for about 2 months now, and markenen is the same thing. Josh has barely started playing well and fox has has a few good weeks. I wasnt high on lonzo when we drafted him...i actually wanted josh jackson...but lonzos feel for the game is special. There was a chase down block he had on the magic last night after he turned the ball over....and he has this instinct that the ball would be by the dudes left hip as hes going up...and at that quick millisecond he smacks it out for a block. Just a tiny sample but he has multiple plays where he can just kind of sense it. Its something you cant teach and he has it. Hes gonna be an incredibly good player.

DSJ, SImmons,Fox, and Mitchell are to me everyone of those players shown me it. Ball to me is he is a sophmore 3rd type player. As a Mavs fan and NBA head Zo is gonna be alright.

    Lonzo Ball is playing Good as a "Rookie."....
    The main things Lonzo is not just a Scorer. It is funny that all the other Rookies only Score. So if were going to gage Lonzo differently again. Seems like a Great player in the making. Lonzo is a Point Guard that does more than score. He also get Rebounds, Steals, and Assist. Yes, assist again, the forgotten past time of an NBA Point Guard!!....lol....We go see Lonzo continue to get better and better!!!!👍

    Also, we all talk about Lavar and overhyping Lonzo. Let's talk about Magic?I am a bit surprised that a GM and former superstar would compare an unproven rookie to Jason Kidd. This really raised the bar far more than Lavar ever did. Why? Because no one cares what Lavar says. A lot more people pay attention to what Magic says.

    Why are they comparing him to rookies only when he plays against all NBA players and not just rookies
    Yes he came in over hyped and people expected more but I honestly thought this kid would average 10 plus points, 7 plus assists and 5 or more rebounds
    Biggest thing is he has helped his team changed their mindset a out sharing the ball

    If Lavar never got famous.......everyone would be talking about how good he is not talking like he is a bust. 10,7,7......acting like that's not a good stat line for a rookie, and they aren't dead stats. He is helping his team WIN. Yeah, he struggles from the FT line and a little bit going down the lane.....he is a rookie.

    Oh come on... almost every point guard in the league would put up similar numbers playing 33 minutes per game. 10/7/7 doesn't make him special. He is not a bust but there is no way you can call him "transcendent".
