I totally agreed with Shannon. I watched the game and at a point I was like wow Zo is playing a really good game, especially when he was having his way in the 3rd qtr. So at the end of the game I looked at the box score and he was 5-12 shooting with 10 assists and I said to myself is this what it has come to? Were excited about a 5-12 performance because he has been completely trash so far this season. SO this was a step in the right direction for Zo but hes got a long way to go.
What we expect from him is to be agressive, attack the rim, he has a terrible shot but thats something he can fix, I expect from him to make better plays because most of his assist are to pass someone who is next to him and drain the shot, I expect from him at least 10 points not 8, I expect him a bit more than 50% in Ft. I like Lonzo but he has to improve so much if doesn't wants to be considered a bust for the hype he has receive.

All Lonzo needs to do is average 13ppg, 8rpg, 9-10apg and move the ball forward. He isn’t going to be a scorer, but from that game I saw him push the ball a lot more. He needs to keep doing that. A better game from him but now he needs to show us he shoot better and do this consistently

The pressure on this kid to make it in the NBA is huge. Adding to that pressure a loquacious father and I'm surprised he's able to play at all. It's too early to tell at this point to pass judgement. He's shown so far that he can in fact play at this level. However, there are moments when I see him play with hesitation, confusion and lack of self-confidence. He's still learning his role. I'm not sure that Luke Walton is of much help either. Lakers half court offense looks like an outdoor game at the park.
If Lonzo can eventually start to shoot like he did in college from 3, the passing lanes will get a little bigger and he will continue to grow. But all growth is being stunted right now by that shot.
