    As someone who also races all of the PC sims online. I find GT7 unique with all of its pros and cons. I love taking a break from my PC to play some GT7. I've come to appreciate it as it is, warts and all. Its different and different for me is a good thing. What a great time to be a sim racer. GT7 keeps the action and my adrenaline going more than any other sim. The moment I get taken out of the race is the moment I fire up some metal music and then just enjoy the rest of the race, turning laps, listening to some tunes.

    They really need to add more damage to discourage bad driving Great video!

    I need to race with rules & regs which is why I don’t touch the dailies. In my limited time I practice for my Monday night 100 Mile Gr3 league race. Anything else I do in GT7 is just having fun driving different cars and doing the odd event.
    I’m racing the same guys week in week out on Monday nights and that builds respect and trust , plus we have stewards to review any incidents and hand out point deductions where required.
    Im currently looking forward to 38 laps of RBR Monday night happy knowing my rivals are taking it as seriously as I do!

    I would say sim racing is the mist involved multi-player. You are literally in control of everything, unlike football and wwe. You dont get this much control else where

      Except we are basically expected to police ourselves and we know how that works. LOL

    I hadn't thought about the no rules issue with simracing being what makes me go crazy. Like how spending the time to practice and qualify top 4, only for the race to end in the first turn at Monza after thinking I've made it through I get t-boned by someone not bothering to brake. It's the wild west out there and sometimes it's about not getting killed at T1

      It's basically up to us to follow the rules. We know how that can work out. LOL

    Nice video and great thoughts as always Cas 👍. It's a tough balance all that you said.. especially seeing the difference between something deliberate and an honest mistake. On a positive note knowing I yet again I had very little time this week so I did a quick qualifying lap and couple of races on my USA account and again it's been exceptionally clean and polite in all honesty. Same race you showed. Admittedly it's an easy one from the front as it's a fast turn 1 so easier to get through without a dive bomb from behind. Tough race when it comes to handling on those hards though. But yes contrary to the rumours I had heard so far up to DR C it's been good. DR B is normally when things get a little bit more desperate so looking forward to seeing If I can get through that unscaved when I get the time.
    Keep up the great work 👍

      I think B lobbies is pretty good racing on the US servers. Of course you'll have your incidents but that should be expected.

    Great video and commentary. I still get nervous while online but it’s because I don’t want to wreck somebody’s race by making a mistake. Yet I do want to have a close battle because I feel that helps me learn more about passing and when to slow down and let the spot go so I can make a pass later on. I think racing is like chess moves you always need to think ahead and learn where you are faster then the next guy and capitalize on those sections

      Thanks! Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone accidentally wrecks someone plenty times over. Even the guy who yells at everyone for wrecking him. LOL

    Psycho are everywhere. Road rage type are common. It's because all people are far far away from confrontation face 2 face. And all other thing. Playing games is different from life.

    problem is since it’s a sim nobody cares about the rules or etiquette, they wouldn’t do it in real life. if GT7 was a lot stricter with hard penalties then rules would be followed but until then drivers won’t care and will do anything to get in front of you or win. when i get hit off track i just get back in it and try getting the highest placement i can. sometimes i get back to my spot or higher, sometimes i don’t. i’ve stopped getting mad about it cause it is what it is, i just keep driving. sometimes the guy who knocked me off ends up crashing out and it feels good, especially when you see him crash.

    I tend to think we're all right and wrong, just depending on the situation. Sim racing really exaggerates our ability to sit on either side of the fence depending solely on how we feel about something. I think if we're honest with our selves, it can be a useful tool for learning to accept our mistakes even when we feel like they weren't our mistakes. The ability to say, hey I messed up, that's my fault, I'm sorry. Is something that seems to escape a lot of sim racers unfortunately. At times it really puts sim racing in a bad light.

      Apologies go a long way. Say sorry, everyone, move on. It's just a game. LOL

    there's Race Etiquette so there are rules

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      But there is nothing in the game to enforce that etiquette. Also, not everyone is aware or even agrees on what the proper thing to do in all situations is.

    GT7 has the dirtiest drivers in Sim Racing with Kimi Velocini being its poster child , I dealt with GT7 because of the people who supported my channel back when I doing time trials on GT Sport/PSVR 1 , now that AMS 2 has v1.6 and LFM support and the GT3's have arrived on LMU it might be finally time for me to hang it up on GT7

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I think there is still good racing to be had in GT7. I don't really run into many people deliberately ramming you off. Probably, most of that happens in lower lobbies. Most of my bad finishes (which are alot 😄) is usually me just messing up myself.

    iRacing has rules

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They have a code of conduct that you are expected to follow, but that doesn't mean you can't just do what you want with your car in the race. Unlike other games that are built with what you can and can not do.

    • @CodenameDuchess1984
      @CodenameDuchess1984 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @ no fault penalty system that will get you demoted and unable to race your series and also that code of conduct includes racing rules, you can be banned for intentionally wrecking, intentionally blocking, unsafe rejoins, and abusive voice, text, dm, and/or forum posts. It is by far the cleanest racing of all the sims. And that’s not to say people don’t get heated in the moment as with any competitive game, I take issue with your thesis on sim racing being the worst for it.
      I mute more people in CoD and LoL than I ever have in sim racing. Find a better community or make polyphony aware of your issues because I love my sim racing community.

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think you are misinterpreting what I am saying. I wasn't saying that sim racing is bad in any way. I was saying we play a game where we are able to break rules within the game itself at any moment. Also, a lot of the unwritten rules on blocking, passing, and other things can be subjective. I was also claiming that because of all of this, it's what makes sim racing so unique and great. Also, in iRacing, unless you are blatantly doing something wrong, they will just give you warnings and try to help you. They don't just go around banning drivers because they aren't good and make mistakes. This again leads to my point that we have the freedom to do incorrect things in sim racing, and people getting angry at these things are different than why people might get angry while playing an FPS.
