- I've decided to K swap my lovely little Honda Civic! The K24 engine is the king of Honda motors and it's swapped into almost everything because it's such a great motor! I'm putting a K24 from a TSX in the EK Hatch to replace it's current B16b. The B series was a great motor setup and I've had a lot of fun with it but it's time to move on to the Mighty K20 / K24! With a TSX K24 and K20 head, i'm shooting for the most amount of power possible out of a naturally aspirated, non built motor! We'll see what happens!

Ben, ur should port out rbc intake manifold, u can easily make like 10-15hp more than 259whp the throttle body size is perfect 72mm, 80mm was oversized

Loved this car with the b16, and this took it to the next level. Loved watching the transformation. Clean and quality build, and 260+hp are crazy good numbers.

270whp in in a little civic is insane, it will definitely murder a lot of higher horsepower cars around a track.
Dude there is like 5000 650hp civics all over TH-cam. It's a normal thing nowadays. There's a 2000hp civic that set a record of 7 seconds in the quarter mile. The b series and k series Honda motors can handle a lot of power. Their built really strong

@@christiandevos9280 your perception of horsepower has been ruined, unless you're going in a straight line you don't need stupid amounts of horsepower, 270whp is more than enough on track, especially with the low weight which I assume is around 1000kg.
270hp with some good suspension upgrades on a honda playing on a track is a great platform to have some good fun and put down some decent lap times. Why would you need 2000 hp? Hp doesnt replace driver mod around corners.. Lol

Wow! I've watched all 4 episodes of you K Swapping your Honda Civic. Great work documenting and editing everything. Everything is in focus, audio is good, commentary audio is good and background music is on point. This brings back memories, in 2010 I bought a S2000 with a Bad piston due to oil starvation. I Resleeved the block with 2mm melling repair sleeves, Added a K24 Honda Accord Crankshaft, Wiesco pistons and K1 rods. Stock Valvetrain, Cams and exhaust. It increased the torque by 50ftlbs and 50-60hp. It was a ~300hp flywheel HP setup and really made this S2000 fun to drive with the extra torque. FYI We notched the pistons and keept the oil squirters, while everyone deletes them.

I always wanted to get a Honda like this, but theft of Hondas in Hawaii is ridiculous, so Im sticking with my 2011’ Subaru Legacy gt (formerly had a 05 lgt, 05 sti, 05 fxt)...if you ever get tired of your fxt and want to sell, let me know since you got a Honda now,...

People act like swapping a k series is simple and straight bolt in but it’s a lot of work and money. I love how you guys talked about over doing fuel. It’s soo many people I know throwing double pumpers in a regular size turbo car. Then they say “I’m building it for the future.”

Nothing like a $500 junkyard motor to make the same power. :P Should check out some times I've hit with a J32. It is a fun swap for sure. Not many go that route.

This was excellent. I moved to euros 15 years ago, but K series and EKs will always have a special place in my heart. Incredible what a relatively minimal build on the right combination of K parts will make.

Don't ever let go of Mia. Silver Civic Hatch 99 was my 1st car. I kept it for 18 years, got rid of it in 2017 for a WRX... I miss it. As time goes on, I wish I kept it to, one day, restore it just like you did. Yeah, pretty much the definition of the 90 enthusiat car. Reliable, pure and simple power ... I miss those days. We tough Honda and Toyota would continue producing those car forever ....
