Hello! You all are truly an inspiration! Diagnosed triple positive, stage 1, surgery last month and just had my first chemo treatment yesterday. Thank you Marina for all you do and being here!
Hi Jennifer, I see you were diagnosed with the same thing I have. May I ask how are you feeling? I had my first treatment this morning. It went well although I am starting to feel a little lousy now and not able to sleep.
@@Sandra-g3c Hi, thank you for reaching out. I am so sorry to hear this. I am on day 2 and feel ok this morning, yesterday I did feel a little queasy but drank a ton of water and tea most of the day. I had a smoothie also. I do not have much of an appetite either. Are you ER, PR and HER2 positive?
@@JenniferConrad-l3j I actually have triple negative. I misread your comment, thought you had the same. I’ve been drinking lots of water as well, feeling a little bloated. Had my first chemo on July 11th. Day 3 for me. Still seams surreal.

@@Sandra-g3c Hi Sandra, I have had some bloating also, water and ginger tea seem to be helping me. I have had a lot of headaches also. Yes, I totally agree -absolutely surreal! My mammogram came back normal again this year (10 yrs straight) and I thought , something doesn't feel right (maybe because I am 47, 20% at risk due to high density tissue, pre-menopausal, no idea specifically....) I asked my Dr. to request an MRI for me. I had to follow up a few times, but 3 months later I had an apt. The MRI picked up 1x3 nodule - ultra sound and biopsy confirmed it was cancerous. Read my triple positive results on an email. I have since switched Doctors and have an amazing team, but it has been a whirlwind for sure! I do feel grateful for treatment and communities like this. It has truly helped me get over a few rough bumps! Good luck this week and take care :)
Hello everyone. I was hoping to join this morning but I had my first chemo treatment this morning. I was diagnosed with Stage 1, triple negative. Treatment is TC and using the cold cap.
I pray that your chemo journey will be easy. I also used the cold cat and it saved 85 to 90% of my hair. So great idea! You can do this God‘s got you!🎀💝🙏

Today was my second radiation treatment. 13 more to go. Today was also my first day back at the gym since I started chemo back in Sept 2023 for six months. I walked into gym excited and said “gym time” pretty loud and others turned to look at me like I was a weirdo. But I was just so happy to finally be able to work out. I did well too. I survived chemo, diep flap surgery, and now surviving radiation and still have motivation to exercise. Today was a good day

@@MarinaBlackfordTy marina. Glad to have you to guide me thru the whole process from the get go back in October when I started chemo thru your channel. I found so many videos on TH-cam but so many of them were negative and scary but yours was positive so yours is the only channel I follow that is cancer related. Ty for doing what you do

I believe Chemo reverses age.I have my last Chemo on Fri. My company thought I looked years younger. It is a beauty treatmt. Cheers Doro

I just had 6 months remission, now I will begin radiation on one vertebrae. Consultation Tuesday. I wish I knew my future and if this is minor or major failure. I have been diagnosed BC4 and it went to the bones. I was so happy for my remission after taking only pills. Now a new wave of the unknown, fear, unanswered questions... I will say that I am amazed that I got to a happy unfearful lifestyle over time after the initial diagnosis. It feels like "square one" now.

I'm so sad I missed another live. Had another Dr appt, this time because I now have a kidney stone!! When it rains, it pours. These last 2 weeks have definitely been a struggle. But watching your videos always helps with my anxieties and helps to keep me positive. Thank you for that!
