    How does someone with no proven record of developing a QB in college get the chance to do so with the #1 draft pick in the NFL? He fooled so many people with his rhetoric, gets to walk away with millions, and will likely get more chances to coach and/or make more millions.

      @whiskeytangofoxtrot3572 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaelschaefer1904 , you cherry picked my statement to make a point which has little to do with Urban Meyer. Alex Smith was already at Utah and Urban brought a good scheme and game plan. OSU and FL had top recruiting classes and teams but no #1 QBs in the draft and none of them from his time coaching are playing QB currently. My point, as stated originally, is that he doesn’t develop QBs. I stand by that statement.

    Question is.. was he behaving that way when he was a college coach?? I've been around terrible leaders and of course you get the mission done.. but.. morale is crap! I can't imagine he created teams with bad morale and won as many games as he did. But.. then.. maybe that's who he is as a person. Apparently so.

    This is basically the exact same thing that happened to Rick Pitino in Boston. Some college coaches get gigantic egos that don't work among grown men.

    • @12jswilson
      @12jswilson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot easier to bully impressionable 19 yr old kids that don't know any different than it is grown men that have seen a lot and the vets generally know what works. They'll usually humor a new approach, but if it doesn't get results, those vets will be a lot more humorless. That's why people put up with Belichick's BS, but not Patricia or Mangini or Joe Judge. You want to act like a lunatic like Belichick, that's all well and good, but you better gameplan like him too. (Belichick also is much more subtle than people give him credit for too)
