I got a weird setup of 3 rangers. 1 is my medic. Just running around and healing people. If needed this is the person to eliminate a dangerous target quickly, only to hide behind enemy lines again (+1 point for being next to allies) 2 is my allrounder. He is just nuicance. Good singletarget damage... and make sure never to group up or he will poison you (4*20% dmg every round, highly effective on tanks) He also gives support and flanking. 3 is my killer. together with "double valor point generation" she goes at the end of the round. Killing every enemy still engaged in combat. Using 2 energy to kill an opponent, getting 2 energy back... if need be a normal atk and fury to either weaken an opponent or setup the next kill. Pair this with the movement reset ability... and yea. Say goodbye to 2/3 of your remaining units at the end of battle. This girl kills about 1/2 of all of my enemies... sometimes more (in a party of 7)

In 1.0 I think level 3 poison (buff to 4 stacks) can be a very good early game meta against tanky enemies or to kite them. There is no item or dex requirement so I can focus on getting movement points. Just move in and out, as a bait.
i've one of my ranger builded like that, full movement speed, poisoned weapon, explosive gas, unstoppable, he's just running around endlessly throwing poison it's very fun
I was looking at deadly contract the other day actually, trying to brainstorm new builds with the new talents. It does seem extremely strong in the updated arenas. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
What's weird is I never got the rat layer when I did the hunt, must of been an early access bug. Went back to the trackers camp and they gave it to me. So thanks very much for letting me know! ❤️
Just started the video, but I find Valorous Audacity is better for Ranger build. If you engage the enemy with your tanks, then run your ranger to their rear they get the 30% bonus and don’t get engaged. As the enemy scales with your group, you shouldn’t be routinely one shotting - so your ranger if more often next to enemy unengaged than they are making kills.
I find that if I use my rangers last in the round so that all the enemies have been put into range to be 1 shotted I can gain back 2-4 Valor points a round. I've been using this strategy on the highest difficulty and so far I've had no issues with scaling unless they release another difficulty with higher health scaling for the enemies. Hi!! intrigged about something,on my ranger as lvl 3 skills i can only see the 3 first ones !i wanted to opt for the 4th one as u explained its broken for the bleed but as i said i have only 3 options to choose from !is it something you learn late game? and for specialisation reset as its 500G ( does it reset the whole skill tree, i watched archer and brute guide and think ill be going for that as well its BROKEN) ... at last ty so much for the detailed guides ! Good continuation
i looked around a bit and well yes apparently the 4th skill comes with the arena chall done! reskilling costs 500g effectively and it allows me to fix optimal my skill tree l!! i think tho i used my brain ^^ to play early game safe which is exactly your pov ! i think the fact of reskilling is op tho its not cheap AT ALL early game !ill keep an eye on your guides for further optimization !

In regards to the smokescreen upgrade, it's pretty powerful when combined with the overwatch abilities of Infantryman and Pikeman.

deadly contract works extremely well in more difficult arena fights

Why not take the rat layer with move+crit? dex is easy to come by movement is harder, with 3 of those you can get +5 move on the armor

Blackout apparently works against ranged enemies.
