@Tacky Stump Mine feels alright on the front. A little stiff for general crap UK roads but hey. I need to get my tracking done as it's tramlining like a bit and can snatch a bit over bumps too :p Would like more induction sound though.
@Tacky Stump wow yeah you'd notice that. The springs are a common thing I think. Mines 100k and had been sat for a while. Then on the way to an MOT or on the MOT ramp a spring broke :O Just need this fuel crazyness to stop now.
Thanks for sharing mate. I'd say 6.9 seconds is a pretty decent 0-60mph time, reflective of the age of the ST. It makes the 6.6 factory claim sound realistic when the car was younger, in ideal conditions, and thrashed in 2nd. Got to love these real world tests.
Yea it’s not bad for an old girl! Plus these cars are more about in gear rolling times as they’re not great from a launch really! I know the M2 launches well though I was surprised at how well they take off!
Good stuff mate. Great cars to get going fast and heaps of fun. Bought a Mk4 ST manual about 6 months ago and love it. Not really a drag car but a a windy mountain road it's a beast! Never timed it 0-62 but says 5.7 seconds, I'd say it's pretty close.
Just got my 2nd focus st exactly same colour and 5 door as well but pre face-lift and pushing 320bhp on collins performance , it's an absolute animal 🤪

Great video Gary. Impressive numbers considering the mechanical sympathy being given to the car. 👍🏼 FWD's are hard to get good 0-60s with as everyone's aware but the these cars really shine on rolling acceleration 👍🏼
@@CarFocused yeah exactly, the good thing about the ST’s is that you can have fun without breaking any speed limits 👍🏼 it’s more than quick enough for the back roads but not too fast where you’re in licence losing territory. The RS would be at home on a runway haha!

Great 0-60 considering you need 3rd gear! I know when I had a dreamscience remap on mine running pretty sure it was dsci map the rev limiter was lifted meaning you could reach it in 2nd
Back in the day I had a Volvo S40 T5 AWD with the same engine and gearbox as this has, and it was able to do 0-60 on 2nd gear. It did had a remap (260hp/380nm), but not sure if that increased the rev limit. Anyhow my best 0-60 with that was 6,3s. No wheelspin off the line of course, but the haldex system makes it 150kgs heavier, so not a huge difference on dry with the Focus.
