Dead Air has probably got to be my most favourite campaign, not just because it's themed around planes (and I like planes) but because it's one of the only campaigns in the game that actually made me feel like it was just me and my friends all alone against an entire world of zombies. How each of the maps were designed to really look apocalyptic and trigger a bit of autophobia (Fear of being alone), as if it really felt like the world was ending and we were the only ones left behind and have to try and find a way out on our own. One thing that really made this campaign add to the autophobia, was how it was set at sunrise, going into the terminal, looking out of the window and seeing the runway with the sun rising over the horizon and the whole city burning down is just horrific to me. Once again, making me actually feel like the world is ending and we were the only ones left behind, trapped in this nightmare, trying not to fall, fighting for our lives and almost if not even dying just to get out of here, and that the worst thing of all to know about it, is that this was just ONE CITY.
the entire city in flames also makes the escape more satisfying. seeing everything go to shit having chaos happen no matter what not just with zombies but with environment.
That last stretch in the airport terminal has killed me more times than anywhere else in the game, any game mode, any year I played. I'm a veteran but it's still a serious hurdle.
@@soarinskies1105 Nah, while is the same horde, is a straight line so is (Unnironicaly) more linear, while the last stretch of chapter 4 of dead air has verticality and stairs, wich good luck being saved when getting charged while your team is puked and dealing with the infinite horde. In dark carnival you can easily look back and save your teammate from pretty much anything, the last part with the double entrance is a tricky one tho, always spawining a charger and a spitter there most of the times, a run killer
i got a creepy vibe at some point of the vid which was at 0:56 i car passed my house and made a weird noise and it synced up with the beat and made a creepy noise it spooked me
The Slater’s found out the crew were carriers so they didn’t want to get infected so they dropped them off down the river and took their weapons and gear as payment.
Working airplane means working airport. I say we head there
your right it might get us out of this dump [forgot this one but I think it is right]
"sounds good to me!"
"Alright let's do it !"
"If anybody else has a idea I say we head there"
"The c130 is nice flying"

My favorite part is the fact that you get to jump across buildings
yea for sum reason dead air always stood out to me,definitely in top 3 for me.
Ok hands down we all know the best part is when the plane crashes.
the entire city in flames also makes the escape more satisfying. seeing everything go to shit having chaos happen no matter what not just with zombies but with environment.
its not sunrise, its the city burning
Sounds weird without the voices and the plane engine sounds.
You r right
It's true for most soundtracks, but for this one...Nah,it's really fine tbh.
@kabooom lmao
You damn right - Louis
I absolutely loved this Campaign, this is number one on my list.
Same
Me too ^^
This one is second, idk why I love No Mercy so much but that one is too for me
YEGtime Freddy If your talking about the L4D2 version of the campaign that shouldn’t count
YEGtime Freddy a real hard campaign is cold stream
That last stretch in the airport terminal has killed me more times than anywhere else in the game, any game mode, any year I played. I'm a veteran but it's still a serious hurdle.
Idk the last stretch of the entrance to the stadium on dark carnival might actually be worse ngl

That really was a stupid unnecessary addition in l4d2.
The tank disliked this video
haha
The 3 tanks at the end of the sacrifice
Francis: I hate steam. . . Pipes.
Man, I LOVE steam!
I like steam... I just hate the pipes.
That violin tho
That plane crash on the runway though
"Holy *S H I T* "
that must be me flying the mallard and trying to land it in my earlier days of ksp
woman pilot
@@geraldthesupreme5479 Man or woman, you will still turn into a zombie in L4D's universe either way.
That's just a regular Ryanair landing!
Oh these violins give me chills
Same here, I always loved dramatic violins.
Sounds so sad, especially when you look at the city that is being consumed by fire
"GAS ME UP AND WE CAN FLY OUTTA HERE"-C-130 Pillot
Also known as, L4D: Roof-jumper simulator
Also known as Mirrors Edge (L4D Edition)
yea, seriously. half of this campaign just takes place on goddamn rooftops.
let me play the Worlds smallest violin
I love the cover for these maps it's almost like a movie poster!
It is
They are movies and the credits when you escape are like the end credits
"The C-130 is...nice flyin."
Alternative subtitle:
"The only things that are free are the birds and the dead"
Or "planes aren't only ones airborne"
"Their Flight Just Got Delayed. Permanently"
Ok mines ro coronavirus
"Su vuelo se ha retrasado permanentemente"
"Ang kanila paglalakbay sa himpapawid ay naantala na ng TULUYAN!"
Bill looks like he already has 30 health
Probably my favorite theme
I love how subtle this one is it matches the atmosphere of the first game
My favorite theme of all
This + Crash Course are the best l4d1 intros imo
Blood harvest
The spooks r real
more creepy than l4d2...
Yeah, but L4D2 is feels more lonely and apocalyptic
Saturn you feel lonely in L4D1 too going through empty cities, towns, and the forest.
Saturn l4d2 is meme city, l4d1 is Real apocalypse
@@ponurezapomnienie Both sets of campaigns feel appropriately apocalyptic. The world doesn't stop ending in the day time.
A C-130 is nice flying
This is one of my favorite maps also Death Toll, Swamp Fever and Cold Stream
dead air
even the skys are not safe from this nightmare
I love when Bill has a military flashback when C130 appear
i got a creepy vibe at some point of the vid which was at 0:56 i car passed my house and made a weird noise and it synced up with the beat and made a creepy noise it spooked me
I sometimes visit a relatives house with my Dad's family and airplanes always fly over the house which reminds me of this lol.
Always have been giving me outlast vibe
Alternative subtitle
“Flying fighting and hope will same them...
I hear it! I can hear the truck pumping! Hold on until I'm all filled up!
Louis: ther trashed the terminal
* they
this sound telling me that something went really fked up.
"C-130 is a great plane"
By far the most intimidating campaign start
This map is real shit when my first time playing the game
When you go to the airport in 2020
The half of the song is very sad
Sound sad
Actually pair of dicks kicked them from the boat
The Slater’s found out the crew were carriers so they didn’t want to get infected so they dropped them off down the river and took their weapons and gear as payment.
@@ShadowAndRoseS And later in Sacrifice(the last map) they died
Tic-Tac Bomb well yeah by that point the crew inadvertently infected them after they dropped them off at Newburg (Dead Air)
And the St Lydia II flowed down stream
The beginning sounds are similar to the ones used in outlast 1.
@Adrian Maulana Yeah, i mean the theme that plays when the plane is flying above the greenhouse. It gives me outlast vibes
Agreed
Flying out of here would be a lot easier than walking.
This one give the creeps and very dark one
Nobody Francis: I hate airplanes
Dead Air
"Fly High, And Then Die!"
Lets hope this one doesnt crash
I bet you thought it was crash into the towers
why i get outlast vibe here lol
I hate planes
Dead center,dead air,no mercy,dark carnival and hard rain ;)
Dead Air. The Campaign that can potentially make your ears bleed if you have headphones on and loud.
What about Left 4 Dead 2 the opening of Dead Center.
@@aarongaming2878it's always planes that make us deaf
El principio parece outlast
Metro city was by far the most f**ked city in the whole outbreak
was to busy naming out the different name of the crashed planes instead of helping my team mates #avgeeklife
