if I can upgrade the 2 pedal set to a 3 pedal set with either a realistically resistant brake pedal or even a load cell based pedal, I may consider upgrading to this r5 setup then getting that brake pedal later on.
I'm using a g920 with SHH Newt2 shifter right now and I gotta say, only having 2 pedals is not my thing now.

I wonder. Would any of the other products from the Moza ecosystem be compatible with the wheel base such as other steering wheels and other brakes. Or at the very least, being able to add a load cell like their SR-P.

Moza did o.k. on this bundle, but the braking performance could be a deal breaker. Having these competing brands is good for a healthy marketplace. Having options like this at different price ranges and quality are good for the consumer.
Can the pedals not be used standalone? I've heard you can configure racing pedals for use with flight sims by using some separate programs so was wanting this set for racing and the pedals for flying too
Can you mount it to a bare 4080 frame ? Just on those 2 things that stick out ? Surely

I'm currently using Logitech G923 and I'm currently using it for ATS/ETS2. I'd like to own a Direct Drive steering wheel. Do you think that this Moza DD is good for trucking?
If you have never tried a DD wheel or these pedals would this be a massive jump from the Logitech G920 wheel and pedals that I have currently? I wish I had done more research and bought something higher end because having a wheel for racing games is so much better to me. :)

Just ordered this pack upgrading from a Logitech G920. Have never used any other wheel so I'm excited to upgrade especially for the price! My only worry is the wheelbase clamp might be too large which would take up legroom space.
Do you know if they are planning to adding console via firmware update? I would like to buy this wheel but would also like to use it for Gran Turismo 7.
Get the brooks Res1ution2 and you will have no issues. Make sure to have pithouse software connected to the wheelbase while playing. I play gt7 everyday with no issues

The brooks Res1ution2 made the r5 bundle work on my ps5. I play gt7 daily with no issues. I have a few disconnections in the beginning but found out I had to have pit house on and connected with the wheelbase. This stopped any issues. Love the r5. So much fun to play instead of a controller.

I am a bit confused by the wheel. It has 6 bolt mounting system for the rim, but buttons seem to be blocking the way for potential rim swap.
yeah that wheels buttonbox is not made for swaping rims. but if you dont need buttons thares notting stoping you from buying a qr and bolting it on to the qr.
Logitech & Thrustmaster do that as well, if you didn't know

@@GeekStreet Nice. They just need a bump stop like the CSL non-loadcell brake. Heck they've been quite inspired by fanatec elsewhere, those boxes look very familiar!
Is there a USB Adapter for the Fanatec Pedals? They are not a standalone Pedal Set right?

I'm using TM TLCM pedals via USB with the R5 bundle. Picked it up for $570 at Microcenter no shipping cost so I didn't mind getting the back up hall effect pedals that attach to the base directly. I love the TLCM pedals and the throttle on them is great and of course the load cell brake. Got those for $200 black Friday deal free shipping. Worth every penny of the $200.
currently on controller, wrc generations has really kicked me into wanting a wheel in a way that dirt never could hit. so now im here, seeing if waiting a bit longer is worth it over the logitech or thrustrmaster
Unfortunately Moza has no console generically you'd have to get a separate adapter for that, if you’re a PC gamer then is a really good option.

I just sold my CSR Elite...dam it's 10 years effing old! Only felt great in AC....not so much in ACC or Automoblabla 2.

Well I won't be getting this as my tgt console gives me 6nm of ffb and I upgraded my brake and throttle pedals myself and now are so close to a loadcell brake and throttle you couldn't tell the difference, and as I'm an f1 fan this base doesn't work with Mona's 2 f1 style wheel rims😳 so it's no for me🙂
Saw the teaser and thought this will be console compatible because of the dpad style controls. Still a great bundle tho

You cant compare the r5 to the gt dd pro because it dosen't has console support. You should compare it to the csl dd 8nm bundle which kosts 100€ less and has 8nm of torque

@@ahmadsalem4558 If you really can't go for for R9 or CSL DD 8nm, then you should go for Fanatec 5nm imo. As in every review they tell you, that 8nm is much better than 5nm and you could upgrade later on that way.

The price seems fantastic until you include shipping to the United states. Unless I misunderstood it's $135 extra for shipping to the us. The other benefit might be it's availability. It seems like everything from fanatec is not available at the moment

I'm pretty sure they'll do an optional extra so you can get that but obviously that'll be an additional cost.
The GT DD Pro is 8nm not 5nm isn't it?
Depends on the package you go for, the default comes with the lower rated power adapter giving just 5nm, you'd have to pay more to take it to 8nm
@@GeekStreet OK my bad. It's just my GT DD Pro came with the 180 boost kit as standard but my sons CSL DD came with the 5nm power supply. 🤷

@@karlbarratt1578 there is an adapter that works with their other wheel bases allowing you to use with a console at the time of me making this video it didn't work the R5 but purhaps they've updated since. Here's a video showing how to use it.

I grabbed the Alpha Mini instead, which actually is capable of 13nm of torque instead of the advertised 10nm. For 600 bucks it makes sense to pick it over the Moza R9, but the wheels and pedals are expensive, so I went for Fanatec CSL pedals
EDIT: NEVERMIND! For some reason I thought this was an R9 hehe
the alpha mini wheelbase is the more than the r5 bundle itself. Anyone would pic the alpha mini if it came with a bundle that's a reasonable price cause at the moment you're spending twice the amount for a whole kit

I think I will go for the Moza R9 and associated components. I don't like the look or size of the wheel. I prefer a load cell brake and this would be going backwards for me. Yes price is very competative, but I would already want to upgrade. Yes you get a DD wheelbase and that would be the only advatage for me. So for me it is a no.

csl dd with 130$ bmw wheel and 80$ pedals is almost 100$ cheaper or maybe im wrong
Fanatec not reliable in the long term. My csl pedals (throttle) brought in Feburary stopped working. I have sent 2 emails over 2 weeks and no response. Customer service and warranty support are a joke as I think Fanatec wants you to purchase the produect again by the ime they contact you or somehing to that effect. I decieded to purchase the 3 pedal Sprint set while waiting to see how long it takes for Fanatec to resolve my issue, if they do. Its time to sell and go with Moza wheelbase or th Aplha Mini and usb convert my Fanatec wheels.
