    The force feedback on an R5 is just amazing. The more expensive wheels are really more for the full-time sim racers. I am perfectly happy with my R5.

    An amazing review Blu! MOZA has been a game changer for me. Being able to get top of the line products at an affordable price is not easy, but MOZA was able to provide that for me and then some!
    I personally got the R9 with the GT wheel which as some may know guided me to win a league’s amateur class championship in my debut season.
    So proud to own MOZA products and would highly recommend them for anybody looking to upgrade their sim racing experience to the next level, or for those looking to begin their sim racing journey without having to upgrade their equipment later on at an affordable price.

    I just ordered mine and it will be here in a few days. Upgrading from a Logitech G27. So even though the pedals aren’t great I think it will still be an upgrade and I can see myself doing what you did and get the srp load cell pedals. Great review thank you I’m excited

    My first direct drive wheel and I couldn't be happier. The R5 bundle with the extra clutch pedal and brake mod was the one for me at a much more affordable price. The quality is pretty much at the top for me. I'm not a full on racer, like you I like ATS as well. So this one works great for me.

    In terms of a trucking wheel for the Moza wheelbases, you can either try to look for a 10-ball quick release which has a 70 or 74mm bolt spacing & try to find a big matching wheel or simply wait till somewhere in Q1 2024 as then Moza will release their own trucking wheel

    Moza has a 12 inch wheel that i just purchased after reading some reviews that it works well with ATS and ETS. the best part it that it just bolts on to the ES wheel without losing any of the buttons.

    Blu, your R5 is moving around a fair bit, if you can mount it really solidly you'll be amazed at the details that come thru the ffb. I had the same issue pointed out to me, and switching to a solid mounting made as much difference as switching between belt and direct drive, maybe more.

    • @voongnz
      @voongnz 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@BernardWilkinson most of these overheating cases are user error. Moza pithouse gives us EQ settings which is great, but it's is also a curse in that some people jack up all kinds of frequencies to up to 500%.
      I have pithouse at 100% ff, acc in game at 85-90% and all my EQ flat across the board at just 100%. I can drive indefinitely and clip the signal maybe once or twice a lap for a split second, and the most it'll get is luke warm. In the winter, always cool room temp. You just need to set it up right and not clip the signal to the point of it being solid red.

    • @BluGames
      @BluGames  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'm thinking about getting the R5 as the price fits for me as I don't have the time to justify a more expensive option, a friend has had one for a while now and I tried his but the brake pedal is putting me off, better pedals means higher budget but you said you bought the spring upgrade, how was that, or did you just bite the bullet and go for the load cell option before trying the modified basic pedal?

    • @BluGames
      @BluGames  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. The spring does make a big differnce. They give u a few springs of different strength. In my opinion feel pretty similiar to the load cell. But i been sim racing years with springless pedals so honestly im not that picky on pedals.
      But if you decide to get the bundle i recommend trying the springs before u spent the extra money on more expensive pedals

    My understanding it that higher torque wheels are not just so they have have wrist breaking force, but so that when they are turned down to appropriate force level they have better and faster response for a more accurate feel and so they can't be accidentally overcome by the drivers arm strength. Though I agree those 20+nM seem like massive overkill.

    After 8 months, Moza es steering wheel, pedal shifter, left pedal broke. The place that holds the pedal shaft is plastic, so it breaks. My research is in this direction. Different people on reddit have experienced the same problem. I am a victim of this situation. Even if I contact Moza in China, my cargo and steering set will be damaged. It will not be good for me if I cannot play the game. Think twice when buying an ES steering wheel. I have used Logitech DFGT for 10 years and have never had any problems. Moza broke down in 8 months. I do not recommend it to anyone.
    Take a break knowing that these will happen.
