We made it happen and got an amp switcher, got tons of requests to shoot these two out with it!
Once again thank you to everyone who bought my NAM captures and bass drops!

Have you ever tried the Hughes & Kettner Warp series of gear? Overlooked by most, but even the pedal is a nice and unique sounding bit of high gain kit.

Great comparison! Obsidian V 1.5 would be my choice after the Bogner Uber Ultra. What kind of rack your KHE switcher in?
This is a great comparison. I had the Granophyre briefly and I couldn’t bond with it. I know the natural aggression of that amp is why some people prefer it, but I much prefer my Obsidian. Darker and fuller tones work better with my band, and I found the Obsidian takes boosts pretty well to get it into the super mid forward and aggressive territory. You showed that very well in this video. I liked seeing the 3 boosts with it. Have you tried these amps with different cabs? I usually run mine through a Mesa Oversized 4x12 with V30s, but I have found that it also sounds great through the other cabs I have tried.
I’ve only played it through my mesa 4x12 and bogner ubercab 4x12!
I love both amps but it is super impressive how the obsidian can almost cover both sounds with the right boost

They’re pretty different so it’s hard to say , guess I’ll have to shoot them out soon?

They both sound great but I'm saying the obsidian sounds better I'm gonna be looking for a new head in a few months so now I'm like how much are these? Lol imma hit google

Would love to try a deliverance , I just recently shot out the granophyre with a vht pitbull ultra lead !!!

How about a mesa stiletto? Lets c what u can do with one if u can find
I definitely wanna try a stiletto , so far out of mesas amps that I’ve tried I really like their more rock based amps more than rectifiers
I had a stiletto for years and it sent me into a spiral off trying to get the tone I wanted from it I had the trident 150W mk1 hear the mk2 have a better gain staging then the first though. But the stiletto just made me buy millions of pedals and gear to try and get there cause it was always soooo close to what I wanted but not quite and nothing could seem to push it there for me
Eventually sold it for like 800$ to a dude in an 80s cover band be perfect amp for that scenario. Also it did have amazing clean channels the fat clean was straight blues/jazz heaven and the sparkly tight clean also super nice
@@acidpancakes420 yea. Had the same experience with a TC50. Always so close to a great tone and always needing to tweak way too much to get there.
