I think the tone stack is kinda like a pedal (ahead of the preamp) and the graphic eq is after the preamp. Typically people leave the treble on 10 at all times

Very gnarly sounds, Peavey still has that clinical thing going on but undeniably metal as ffff. Diggin' the riffs!

I played through a 5150 II stack for years. Now I play through a 50 watt Stealth half stack. I prefer the Stealth in nearly every way. It hits just a little closer to what I hear in my head. And I definitely prefer the blue channel over any "mid gain" the 5150II could pull off. Both are killer f'n amps, though.

Honestly.... In my 25 yrs of playing can honestly say, I never have seen/heard of this Peavey model!!! Im truly digging it!!! So is it just a Single Channel Clean Class 'A' Amp??? Just one of those Power Amp type of Heads?? Mos definitely gotta search eBay for one lol

Maybe it's just me, but I'm more of a fan of the 5150II. The definition/clarity on the notes just sound more rounded to my ears, as to the Stealth is hardcore high-end. Nothing wrong with that lol definitely suits low end tunings more Great vid, just subbed!

Both amazing amps. But I will give it to the 5150iii on this one. It just had a meaner (slightly harsher) gain structure. Both sounded great though.

Having owned the 100 watt stealth and the 6505+ at the same time…the Peavey 6505 wins it everytime for me. Just sounds more raw and organic and is more cutting in a band mix.

Do you prefer the Grimm or night terror? I’ve been waiting for the next batch of night terrors to drop for some time…looks like I can get a Grimm much quicker.

Should’ve done the blue channel boosted instead of the red channel on the 5150iii. Prefer it much better. The Peavey 5150 ii/6505+ wins it for me every time tho!

I have the Peavey 5150 combo modded with 2 V30'S in it! Sounds almost like the Peavey 5150ii and the signature version. Thinking about getting the Grimm 3 !

I think you have the presence on the evh a little too high for a like for like comparison. In my experience the red channels sound identical if you match the power amp controls.
