    Love your videos! Very helpful 🙏 my boy is now almost 22 months. I love seeing his changes and him pushing boundaries:) how else he's gonna learn about the boundaries if he doesn't know the limit. Amazing to be able to observe him going through this process 😜

    Does the same apply to 2 yr olds?

    • @cassiedilley
      @cassiedilley  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! I handle tantrums the same for any age. I still occasionally need to use the ABCs with my 4 year old.

  • @ZanciiiC
    @ZanciiiC 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    But how to say all of the ABCs while my 1 year old is screaming and while hevis so young and doesn’t understand many words?

    • @cassiedilley
      @cassiedilley  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Great question. They learn so much even if language development isn’t quite there. The key is consistency and letting consequences do the teaching right along side your words. Pick just a few key phrases that are said over and over again and they’ll catch on quick as it’s paired with you physically removing them from the situation or whatever the need calls for. Does that make sense?

    I just tried this on my 22 month old and it worked! We usually have a tantrum every morning. It’s nice to have a structure of what to say.
    ‘I understand you’d really love to watch cars right now. We can’t do that because it’s time to get ready for child care. Would you like to have a bath or a shower?’
