That reminds me of the time, back in 19 and 88, when I was in the Peppertree Lounge--the one by Jim Otto's "00 Liquors"--and this guy was going on and on, to everyone who would listen...and to everyone who wouldn't...that he was the keyboard player for ? And The Mysterians. He described at length, in great detail, the chord progressions to "96 Tears", while helpfully demonstrating by playing air keys on the bar. It was akin to a two hour oral dissertation on how to drive a nail with a hammer. Most of us, including this one, had quite the struggle resisting the compulsion to stuff a wad of cocktail napkins into his pie hole. But the fact was, the poor fellow elicited even more pity than he did scorn. True story!
These guys look and sound like they just walked out of the Reno 911 desert into San Francisco high and trippin', lol. In all seriousness, though, they are really good, and sort of up there with Quicksilver Messenger Service, and quite good at mastering the slide guitar and the "reverb knob" IMHO! Cheers, give them a listen, you'll amaze yourself and possibly trip tonight also? Murf

I'm going to see them in Rome Feb, how come no London Dates? US bands breaking big in the UK is a well worn path to superstar/cult status. Ramones, Talking heads, Blondie, etc all took london then the world.
