ive been introduced into fishing within the last two weeks and got my own trout/bass rod setup since then and was also recommended your channel. i cant begin to say how much fun this sport is and how much your channel has already taught me. thanks for all you do jon B
I'm LOVING these trout videos so much man. Thank you for exploring it. I'm an Illinois boy myself and have recently started traveling all over the Midwest chasing trout.
Jon! I’m from Washington and I would love to see you fish Lake Crescent! It is the only lake in the whole WORLD that has Beardslee trout in it! I’ve only ever caught 1 out of there but I’ve always wanted to go there more often but never have time! If you ever have the chance you should go there I think it would be super cool to see you fish for these one of a kind Beardslee trout! Much love fish on 🎣🎣
Beardslee are some of the prettiest trout I’ve caught. Pulling a fish that blue out of an equally glacial blue lake is insane. We must not overlook the other endemic trout species in the same lake: the crescenti cutthroat! Driving and walking the limited shore access for these fish can be surprisingly productive. A small boat is always going to be easier however.
Friggin right bub. Love you showcasing the incredible beauty of Maine. It's a place that almost seems frozen in time, and thank god for that. Great video bub keep em coming!!
I have seen your trips around the world, this one was so interesting and educational. Beautiful weather and the fall foliage just helped make this video over the top. Keep them lines tight Jon. 🎣
Great that you inform and talk about the challenges many species faces. If you fish for a number of years you see it first hand. Really set things into perspective when thinking of your kids and if they get to experience the same joy.
Loved this video and it's one of my favorite videos of yours. I love the educational value this video holds and hope to see you so more. Thank you very much.
This is like a Reese's Peanutbutter Cup. Two great things that just go together. Whether that is the Googs fishing or the epic float-plane fishing on a majestic lake. I pick Both, or all three, as I'm currently eating a Reese's PB-cup.😉😜🤙
truly awesome collab. would love to c you catch a tuna with Jacob next year... make it work. been praying for the health and prosperity of you & your family Jonathan
"now for the best part, the release". Awesome philosophy considering the rarity of the resource! Let's all pass it on to the next generation of anglers. Merci pour un video extrêmement intéressant. Cheers
I just saw acadia national Park a couple weeks ago during the peak changing of the leaves. Such a beautiful state. Id like to live there once I'm not dirt poor
Hey Jon, We have lot of Artic Char in Iceland. In some lakes we call them invasive. I need to try fishing Veiðivötn Iceland. Its my all time favorite fishing.
I swear the TH-cam world is a small world .. I heard you say Jakob a few times at the beginning of the video .. when I got comfortable and saw who it was .. Wasn’t expecting seeing him so high from his lobster boat ..😀😀
Float planes are not the culture of Maine 😂 Maybe the culture for the well to do, but Maines culture is road sodas and working your ass off to get into the NMW. Pick ups and the golden road.
currently watching this from my 9-5. man i pray my side hustle replaces my 9-5 to be able to what you do. and thats going all around the world to fish. but also enjoying others states or country’s. good video bro.
I have a cabin in milo Maine- on schoodic lake. I dream of living there full time one day. John man you are living the absolute life. I’ve been watching you forever and you deserve all of it man
Bro you know what’s crazy and ironic, I moved to Texas 5 years ago from Baltimore and in a few year I’ll be moving to Bangor Maine and John shared with us a few locations to fish in Texas and now he has showed me a few locations in Maine .. at this point I look at John as my fishing partner 👍👍🫡🫡
Hey jon! We have a 200 acre property with a pond that I believe has the Georgia state record bass potential. When I was 10 I caught a 14.4 pound bass bedding 4 foot under water, a 10 pounder under lilypads, a nine pounder trolling with my uncle, and my brother caught a 12 pounder casting in the middle of the pond for fun. If you want I would love you being you down and see what you can catch! (Btw I am 12 years old and I have caught hundreds of 5 pounders and stuff but those fish is what the pond is known for.
We have char in a few of our rivers in Washington. They're known as Dolly Varden or Bull trout. Not allowed to fish for them in most places. I was lucky enough to catch maybe a 3.5 pounder on a legal river years ago. Beautiful fish.
Thanks for sharing the video! I've always dreamed about catching an Arctic Char, ever since I saw one in a fishing magazine when I was a kid, (that was over 50 years ago)! I have a few of those Megabass Karashi's in White butterfly 🦋, I'm sure it would be perfect, it looks alot like the bait you were throwing for the first few fish you caught!.........FishOn......Jim

Imagine a Never Stop type tour from the plane
I’ll give Jon 3 years and he’ll be flying his own sea plane. You know the wheels were turning in his head when he was sitting in that cockpit.
The best fishing content on TH-cam rn, you have my respect!
Is that the lobster guy
Yes
bro it gotta be - hes the guy that gives lobsters snacks before they go back to the ocean floor
Sure is!
That’s what I was thinking lol
It took me 20 minutes into the video to place him.
We must have just missed you! Stayed at the same campsite right before the season closed and caught a bunch the same size!

I expected to see Lake Crescent when I saw the title of this video. Gorgeous lake, I fished it back in 2021 but it's tough fishin'.
@ yeah it definitely is

I don't watch as many of your videos as I used to, but videos like this are why I can't unsubscribe. Very cool vid.
You captured the spirit of the sport in this video. Amazing video, had to be a dream day flying in, seeing the scenery, and hooking up on those char.
Jacob’s channel is my favorite to watch next to yours. Guy is the best
I can't believe yall did a collab! Stoked to see this! Nice change up from some of the bass videos!
Great that you inform and talk about the challenges many species faces. If you fish for a number of years you see it first hand.

What a great collaboration. Love Jacob’s videos
This is one of my favorite videos and I’ve watch Jon b for years. Wish I lived in Maine and could ever do something like this
This was awesome. Thank you for introducing me to a new fish species that I can add to my bucket list to go after some day.

Not the collab I was expecting, but definitely an awesome surprise! Big fan and follower of you both!
Man I love my state! and to see Jon experiencing it is absolutely amazing. There's always a place in this state to fish that you've never fished.
Awesome trip and vid! Thanks for taking us along! Love the conservation aspect of the video as well. KFNS!
truly awesome collab. would love to c you catch a tuna with Jacob next year... make it work. been praying for the health and prosperity of you & your family Jonathan

W adventure with W guest
Love the trout videos
They are a bit slimy but put up a really good fight. I catch them a lot when soft plastics
so sick brotha
Is that the tic-tok lobster guy?
Tik tok lobster guy has a house in Maine with a float plane on his dock. Kinda sick
@ right. Like, I get from his videos that he has a good personality and seems like a cool dude. But, the commercial fishing industry is booming!
Saw “fishing from a plane” and just had to drop everything and watch😂
I hooked a gold trout in West Virginia without knowing they existed……. That was a big surprise
We have char in a few of our rivers in Washington. They're known as Dolly Varden or Bull trout. Not allowed to fish for them in most places. I was lucky enough to catch maybe a 3.5 pounder on a legal river years ago. Beautiful fish.
Please go catch a tuna with your new rod and reel from Peric.
Tons of Char in Alaska. Check out Harding lake! And Ak state record is something like 20lbs.
More of this!!

I was excited with the title thinking you were going for Paiute cutthroat trout
Thanks for sharing the video! I've always dreamed about catching an Arctic Char, ever since I saw one in a fishing magazine when I was a kid, (that was over 50 years ago)!
