Yes, the only helmet you might have seen would be if they had any Lego City space helmets left over from May. Some stores still have them, but I imagine most stores have used up their supplies by now. Well done for getting teh Torso, I haven't got one yet !
I don't think that the parts you get in the BAM tower in stores, are normally available in the pick-a-brick section of Lego.com. Online is normally just parts found in sets. I can guarantee that there will be a million of them available on places like Bricklink, but people might take advantage of what it is and sell them at a high price. I hope you manage to get one.
Sad news for my own collection... I don't like BAM exclusives, I don't live near a Lego store and I can't travel to a store next month just hoping to find it before anyone have already take them all. :( Pretty sure it will be a desirable piece. A much cheaper alternative for the helmet, bespite being far from his classic form, is to pick one of the new helmet from the current Space Exploration theme. Another problem with this color is the display. The Dark Blue Arch 1 x 3 x 2 Curved Top is currently really expensive on the aftermarket, because it only came in 1 set in 2008. But fortunately, this part will come back very soon with the release of the Dark Blue Batmobile this month, so we can hope to see his price decrease or, better, being available on PaB at the end of the year. Meanwhile, you can get 2 Slope, Curved 3 x 1 x 2, but you will have 2 uncovered studs on top. For the airtanks, i suggest the Black one, but more discrete with the Dark Blue than the Blue. Hoping to see your own updated display soon ! :)
Yes, when I looked for the parts to make the Dark Blue stripe, there were only 2 NEW ones for sale in the whole of teh UK and they cost... ...wait for it... ...£36 each !!!!! (about $40 if U R in the USA) So I got 2 used ones for £3 each - still a lot and I hope they are in fairly good condition! @@soulreaper16190 Thanks for replying to me. I've searched Brickset.com for the word "Sable" and also for the word "Kestrel" but neither of them have ever been used in the name of a Lego set. Is there anything else you can tell me about it, so we can try to track it down? Like, what Lego theme the set was from, or how old it is?
This is a curious thing. All of the parts are out of the Dreamzzz line up. BAM stations are not typically filled with one theme but a variety. Some have a couple grouped together but never the whole collection and certainly not from their licensed properties. This is a new approach from Lego. I would be very interested on whether or not Lego would also offer this torso on their pick a brick site. I now have serious need to track down and spend way too much getting a hoard for the space army. 🚀👨🚀
Apparently it's even more than that... someone has commented that the space torso is ALSO from Dreamzzz. One of the characters wears one the show ! I'm not sure if in-store BAM parts ever end up on Lego.com's PAB, but it's worth keeping your eye out for them! Thanks for commenting
@@MinifigJez Yes the main teacher wears a Dark blue sweater with the logo on it. Usually under a lab coat. I am not sure what to expect with the BAM line up, though. I think the specialty parts do not typically end up anywhere else from my experience. But with this being a Lego Licensed product line it may be different, those parts tend to end up on the PAB site. Like the green and purple helmets and purple air tanks did through Ninjago parts. I have also grabbed some Dreams figures from the PAB.

Being a 80's kid I prefer teh old shape, so I don't mind the grey helmet, I'd prefer them all to have tech old shape. When I got my helmet and air tanks, I selected ones with just the right amount of discolouration so that they match teh new grey really well !!!! Thanks for commenting
OH MY LIFE ! It's been there for over two days, over 4000 people have seen it and no one (including me) noticed that !!!!! All fixed now - Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks for the news, Jez. But personally I feel like the 11 colours we already have should be it, no more, at most release air tanks and a helmet in the light blueish grey for the grey astronaut. Adding more colours to the ones we already have seems unnecessary, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, we've got the one from the gumball dispenser machine to come next year, so I don't see the colours stopping at any time soon!!! In the fan vote, Lego gave us 4 options to choose from, and I have a sneaking suspicion, that they will eventually give us all four of them! @@MinifigJez More is better, with Classic Space colors! I'd like to see a full new colour astronaut, with complete kit (finally!) appear in BAM bins, maybe gold or medium azure!
But... the green and grey spaceman had motorcycle helmets for a whole year, when I first made the display. They didn't really ruin the display. Another alternative is to use the modern City Space helmet which also comes in Dark Blue.
erm... ...I heard you, but... ...no! 😉 I think yellow could have gone well with purple (as they are opposite colours in a colour palette) but I'm not sure how well it would go with dark blue ! When I put him together, I'll give yellow a go though!
@@MinifigJez Personally, I would do none at all, but if I had to choose one it would be pearl dark grey. In my local store they also still had dark blue Lego City space helmets, which would be a good alternative. - White air tanks would make a nice contrast.
@@MinifigJez Did they still not have the torsos
@@nazminabanihashemi2846 They still had all the Lego City space parts, but I got them all ages ago. - I just thought the dark blue helmet would be a good item to look out for as a classic space alternative.
@@MinifigJez nono, the dark blue torso i meant
it would be good if we got a retired color of spaceman, like sand, red, or sand purple(from older Star Wars and space theme sets)
And also different earth colors (from a theme I believe similar to Bionicle???
And also the dark blue should go between blue and purple
Yes, The Dark Blue is definitely going between the blue and the purple!
It would be good to get some of those old colours back again, but I don't think that Lego have ever re-introduced a retired colour back into sets again.
So we'll just have to dream !
Subscribed, great video - will defo need to grab these toros !!
Thanks for the sub, Im glad you liked the video.
I'll be popping along to a Lego Store to pick up some torsos as soon as I can !
I think I might not have the dark blue helmet of classics but I have a normal space one from city sets and I might have to just color white airtanks
Yes, the new Lego City Astronaut helmet would be good alternative too. I will try that out when I build my figure and add him to the display.
Incredible news!
Yes, I'm dead happy !
I assume they're going to slow-play the release of dark blue tanks and classic space helmets like they've done with previous colors. Fingers crossed for 2025! Dk Blue helmet Jayko going for close to $20 on ebay right now. The secret is out...!
I'm hoping they might give them to us in a CMF series. Maybe January's series?
Funny That Jayko has ALREADY gone up in price! I managed to find an incredibly faded one for 50p on Bricklink, he was almost light grey in places, but had been in the sun with his visor down, so the helmet was fine!!! - So I have my two now, for my two spacemen.
I was able to acquire dark blue legs that match the torso from the build a fig bin today.
GREAT! - I got them too, if you check out the video when I made teh Dark Blue spaceman you can see what I got from the Lego store and where I got the other parts: th-cam.com/video/8aPAGD0VkpM/w-d-xo.htmlsub_confirmation=1
Pearl dark grey for the tanks!
Yes, I'm still in two minds, if I use the pearl dark grey or the black.
Oh thats cool! I really hope they make an air tank in dark blue soon!

Can't find it in Canada either.
@@bobgerard9256ok
I can;t say for certain, but I always thought they got released worldwide. Ive had comments for people in the USA, Europe and Australia, saying they've got them in the last few days. - Did you ask any Lego store staff if they knew about them?
@@MinifigJez no’I didn’t asked them
@@MinifigJez yeah, but they told me they didn't know when they would get them or if they would :(
I'll just have to wait that and hope they're not too expensive on bricklink.
Looking at my rainbow mini fig spaceman collection ( much like yours ) I would have thought a light blue spaceman would’ve been more attractive? …but eh, I’m fine with it 😊
Personally, I absolutely love Lego's Dark Blue and Dark Red colours, so I;m really happy with the new colour!
MAN! now I really want the light blue space man.
If the light blue won, I'd love to make a stop motion video that is red vs blue.
red teem would have the red, orang, yellow, and pink space men.
wile blue teem has blue, light blue dark blue, and purple.
Ooooh, I like the stop motion idea. Let me know if you ever make one.
I will.🙂
I think the pearly dark grey one looked best.
Yes, I'm still deciding between that and the black pair.
I've got a week or so to make up my mind.
Great video 👍. In my lego store they made a mistake and already put out the torso, so I managed to get this. 😁
SCORE!
Well done on spotting them early. I'll visit my store next week and see if I can get myself one.
@@MinifigJez The good thing was that there was still dark blue legs from the previous BAM quarter, so I could add them. So I only had to order the hand from BL.
@@attilabiro2213 Well done. I hope you find a helmet sometime soon too.
And also, thanks for your original comment at the weekend, letting me know about it, which inspired me to make the video!
(I hope you liked the shout out to you!)
I was at my Lego store in the US yesterday and able to buy the blue spaceman. I didn't see a dark blue helmat
Yes, the only helmet you might have seen would be if they had any Lego City space helmets left over from May. Some stores still have them, but I imagine most stores have used up their supplies by now. Well done for getting teh Torso, I haven't got one yet !
purple airtanks crying in the corner 😭
But pearl dark gray, grey, griy? groy?!?
I was leaning more towards the black, but now you've suggested it, I'm going to try purple too.
Is bam available online? Might have to get a hold of this torso.
@@MinifigJez thanks , yeah I don't have a Lego store in my country so need to find other ways to get it.
(about $40 if U R in the USA)
So I got 2 used ones for £3 each - still a lot and I hope they are in fairly good condition!
I'd thought of the nw Lego City Space helmet too, and I;'ll try that when I make teh video.
And I think I;m definitely going to use Black air tanks.
Thanks so much for commenting.
Definitely be getting this. Just completed the rest of the colours
Well done on completing the set.
I hope you manage to get a helmet too.

@@alisonbailey-c8u Well done. That's true dedication !
thanks that great but i think theres a light blue space man or should say woman that came in a set that should be good to add as well
If you've seen a spaceman (or woman) in light blue, then it won't have the classic logo on the torso like all the others in the display. Lego haven't ever made this torso in light blue.
So I imagine it's either a custom miniatures, or there is other printing on the torso, and not just the classic space logo. If you find out what set it is, please let me know teh set number or send me a link so I can check it out.
The only light blue one that you MIGHT have seen, is the light blue spaceman that was voted on in the fan vote, to choose the colour of the next one that Lego are going to make. You can see the 5 colour choices in the vote here: th-cam.com/video/JZAZRwubeH0/w-d-xo.htmlsub_confirmation=1

@@MinifigJez I think the set is call the sable kestrel set
@@soulreaper16190 Thanks for replying to me. I've searched Brickset.com for the word "Sable" and also for the word "Kestrel" but neither of them have ever been used in the name of a Lego set. Is there anything else you can tell me about it, so we can try to track it down? Like, what Lego theme the set was from, or how old it is?
I definitely need to do an order
I hope you manage to get what you need.

I think the black air tanks
Yes, I think I'm going to stick with black
the grey spaceman still irritates me for never getting the new mold of the helmet, and the old light grey elements being mixed in with light bluish grey
Being a 80's kid I prefer teh old shape, so I don't mind the grey helmet, I'd prefer them all to have tech old shape. When I got my helmet and air tanks, I selected ones with just the right amount of discolouration so that they match teh new grey really well !!!!

Top and bottiom... or double denim as it's known !
Personally I can't get enough (80's kid at heart!) so my display will continue to grow, but I understand your view.

Light blue space hel
What do you mean?
I would rather a black space helmet rather then a dark blue motorcycle helmet, because otherwise it would ruin the whole display
But... the green and grey spaceman had motorcycle helmets for a whole year, when I first made the display. They didn't really ruin the display. Another alternative is to use the modern City Space helmet which also comes in Dark Blue.
@@MinifigJez yes but i think a black space helmet would fit better. i never liked the fact that green had a motorcycle helmet
Hear me out. Yellow tanks.

I think yellow could have gone well with purple (as they are opposite colours in a colour palette) but I'm not sure how well it would go with dark blue !
When I put him together, I'll give yellow a go though!
pearl dark grey 100%.
I'm not sure, I'm still debating between Pearl Dark Grey and the Black.

@@MinifigJez Personally, I would do none at all, but if I had to choose one it would be pearl dark grey. The black just contrasts a bit too much, and makes it look sort of messy, whereas the pearl dark grey seems to blend in quite well, and makes it look less like it was hobbled together for the sake of it.
