I just bought be a 200 ml bottle of the EDT. It’s definitely a newer batch. But I’ll say this. I can live with that. It might be as strong as it used to be, but it’s still a great overall fragrance. The longevity is still good. Projection? So so. But there is a way that can help improve it a bit. Might be a no brainer but here it is. Put Vaseline or a non scented lotion on your pulse points and apply the fragrance from there. That tends to help it last longer and perform better. Because fragrances tend to work best on hydrated skin, not dry skin.
2017 was my first sauvage edt experience. I tell you. Just by sniffing the atomizer can give you piercing headache. Maybe im not used to the ambroxan yet. My 2022 batch, i can pour 100ml on me and its like nothing
EDT got redormulated yes. I have 2015 version and it was tooooo much then. So harsh, so strong, was too peperry in the sun. Now, it is quite weaker but also quite refined and smoother.
I bought a decant of Dior Sauvage EDP from DecantX, and I absolutely love it. I haven't tried the EDT, yet. But if you could tell me that both smell identical, then I will buy the EDT??
I have a 200ml of Dior Sauvage (EDT) and it barely lasts 5 hours on my skin. Literally no projection which is strange as my older bottle projected HEAVY! I asked the Mrs whether she can smell me and she was unable to pick up the scent trail even within the 1st hour. Disappointed in the reformulation.
@@Thefragranceshow I guess it's probably to cut costs or new IFA regulations that enforces a change. Either way, it's a shame as it was perfect how it was. Can I ask, how many sprays of Dior Sauvage do you use ? I usually go with 6 sprays but maybe that's not enough.
I think it all comes down to skin chemistry. Even tho Sauvage edt worked for everyone when it first came out. I’ll say this. Yes it’s a weaker concentration like an EDT originally is. Nowadays anyways. But there are ways to fix it and help enhance its performance a bit. Put Vaseline or a non scented lotion on your pulse points, then spray it. That’s usually the case with most lighter fragrances. You’re adding an extra layer on your skin. That way it holds onto the fragrance longer and helps it project more. On dry skin, obviously it’s gonna wear off faster. Now I will admit, it might not be a huge difference, but you’ll notice the performance increase. Hope this helps.
Brother can you help me I’m kinda confused man I bought sauvage edt a week ago and I checked it’s 2022 batch and I don’t knock man what’s the actual thing is cause i feel like I’m not getting a good performance man as far as I’ve heard about dior sauvage edt it’s an amazing performer can you tell me man whats the problem is it because the nose fatigue or they messed this beautiful thing
@@Harry-tj8of I actually recently bought a new bottle of sauvage so tbh yeaah I do agree with that maybe 10 sprays then. As it defo seems reformulated which is abit of com
@@Thefragranceshow I live in the very cold place -20c most of the year so the EDT can be a bit muted in colder weather and smells like cedar only mainly, so I think EDP will suit it more here but I was wonder if it will be cloying in high summer temperatures or even too sweet. (even though ik EDT is unbeatably free in summer heat)
To each is own, but elixir, edp, or the parfum is far greater than the EDT Normally EDT’s projection is far greater than edp’s, parfums, and extrait due to the less concentrations, so it evaporates quicker off skin and etc. But IMO dior elixir is the best. Quality, Performance, projection, uniqueness is all there Respect bro keep at it 🫡 💯
You are too old to be wearing the EDT, that's for high school kids and people in their early 20's. Early 20's meaning 21 or 22. get the Elixir or the Parfum you are OLD.
They don't but they retain the DNA of the original, if you have a more experienced nose you will detect it regardless of how different they might appear to smell. Elixir is so far off that the DNA of the other 3 is close to completely being lost
True. I've been wearing Sauvage since it came out. Never got that harsh opening ppl talk about
good stuff !
Bro I appreciate your analysis. It's a classic and popular for good reason. It SLAPS!!!
No problem bro it ! Got to have it in the collection

Nah it’s fine when it first came out the opening was very harsh it has been reformulated since then
After having a 1oz repurchase a 3.4 oz because its simply great to wear and enjoyable for me.😊
Yes indeed thanks for the positive feedback as always
Yes I agree the edt is the best out of all of them 👍🏻

Yea I definitely need to grab another bottle from wrk because my original bottle is just about done !!
I feel you bro ! I would say if you want to save some money try one of the clones out on the market for sauvage it’s plenty out there
Sauvage EDT is the GOAT
good stuff !

they are similar edt smell much sharper edp alot smoother and rounded out
Great review. I had a hard time smelling the edp too.

Wow man that’s crazy this bottle I just bought world fine but some how some way they always find a away to mess with stuff that’s perfectly fine

Your dior edt is 2022 batch, mine is 9C01 is a 2019 batch.
Personally bruh this is what I call a dragon level scent I smelled this on my son Matthew and bruh………he smelled like Bruce Wayne at his own Wedding.
😂😂😂 ! Thank you for the feedback definitely good stuff
This is a great scent. But it's a risk buying online. So many fakes that are difficult to tell from the original sometimes.
Never had trouble order from my goto sites ! I understand your POV tho
When did you buy your bottle? I heard newer batches have crappy longevity
I bought my bottle sometime last year and didn’t have any issues
Yes newer batches are no good, i had the same issue with the edp, but i put it to rest for four months & it did work.
I have 200 ml-2022 batch and last just 1 hour on clothes and on skin half hour
@@ernestorodriguez6392how do you put it to rest? I have the same problem with the edt?.

Not sure brother but I do believe it was reformulated some time ago and it could be your skin chemistry with the juice to
I also rebought this after giving my brother my 60ml and I bought a 200ml
Good stuff
When did u buy the 200ml?
How many sprays of the EDT would you recommend? I will get mine in a few days and don't want to kill my colleague in my office 😅

Well rounded yes but to me the edt is best for projection and that’s all I care about when it comes down to this fragrance

Definitely bro to me elixir strays so far away with the sauvage dna I don’t even be counting that as a flanker but I feel you tho
ur right about projection part but the sillage is was stronger with extrait de parfum

yes !
got rid of my edt once elixer dropped

Have you looked at the modest une
I’m looking into it
Don't buy it, it sucks no ambroxan, no pepper.
Salvo Intense by Maison Alhambra is spot on clone to Sauvage bro
I was tempted to get that one but I just grab the edt sauvage instead
I went with the underrated Sauvage parfume because it smells more manly and sexy.
Yes I agree
Get the elixir
