Do you think the EDT is still worth getting? I'm not that big into blue fragrances. And I'm about 2 years into this fragrance thing. The bluest fragrance I have is polo blue Parfum
@@Alritealritealrite Kinda a newbie too, try Acqua di Gio Profondo 2024 EDP. Get the EDP not the Parfum. Don't think it's redundant. Never blind but anything sample it if you can😎😎😎
I’ve been a huge frag head for many many years now and I actually just got Sauvage edt and I really like it lol. That ambroxen is 👍. So yes the Dior wins for me!
This is a close match, I ended up choosing BDC since it’s a bit more refined. And as Ash stated, BDC is smoother. Sauvage is a projection beast, but on the dry down, it just doesn’t hold up
Bought BDC edt on 2015. Sold it after half a bottle. Since then I've emptied a bottle of BDC EDP and recently parfum. Got around myself BDC edt 50ml again and loving it thus far, using it in the high heat. The drydown is magnificent. BDC EDP is the all rounder. But if you live in hot and humid climate like me, edt is the best bet.
Ash some of my favorite videos from you are the ones where you review peoples' collections. Can you start doing more of those types of videos in the near future?
Regarding the Atomizer - I am curious, if you give Sauvage 8.5, what would you give a 10 to? I haven't found a better atomizer out there than the ones on Dior, and 8.5 is kinda questionable
Would someone really make an educated buying decision based on a fragrance *atomizer?* Apparently, this category has the same weight as longevity and projection... I don't think so.
Bought Sauvage for the 1st time in August for my trip to Spain and …it’s a banger! It will be one I will always bring back to my collection I’m yet to try Bleu De Chanel but I will
Sauvage edt or edp is just like lavender disinfectant solution. The scent is clean and fresh but it does not take away from my olfactory that they smell like that. I love the Elixir though. The bdc however have more character to it as a fresh scent.
I liked this video, you should do more match ups and fragrance ‘battles’ for both designer and niche. Then at the end of the year, you could do a ranking list based on the results 👌🏼
Hi Ashton love your videos as always. My top two fragrance i have in this order of all time as of current is Dior Sauvage Elixir and Dior Homme Parfum. They are almost tied but the Elixir just has that unique smell which is my favorite. Yes i have two brand new bottles of the Homme Parfum. One from Italy and the other from Switzerland since they are not sold in United States. Will be traveling soon so i may pick up a third bottle just in case. Great work as always.
i like this video theme. actually FWIW, 3 years ago, it's this exact video format that got me hooked on fragrances. there's another youtuber called cubaknow who made a video some time back comparing dior sauvage EDT with prada luna rossa carbon. that video was freaking hilarious, and the rest is history.
You should do a spray routine , for blue de chancel EDT! Or just for different situations like school, date, office , etc! How many sprays ! And ur personal spray routine
Feel like bdc is the objectively better frag. Also, for these kind of rankings, you should weight different categories. I feel that something like presentation are not nearly as important as the other ones and how it smells (i.e. opening and drydown) is by far the most important factor
I took a break from your chanel, and many frag channels because I was burnt out by the repeated type content everyone was doing. Though this has been done before, I'm glad to see the change up! I like the set, and youre a lot more enjoyable when you put in more effort. It shows nicely. 👌👌
I own Sauvage edp, Elixir, and BDC parfum. I only reach for the Elixir. From time to time I remember about BDC parfum and wear but rarely do. Sauvage EDP I don’t know where it’s at. So it’s been a few months since I last saw that bottle lol. I gotta go with the Elixir though.
This was interesting and I'd agree savauge edges it due to performance and that is what makes the majority keep buying it but the majority aren't people like us who own fragrance collections they are mostly the had a bottle as gift for Christmas or birthday and stuck with it and brought a new bottle again and again etc, so it doesn't surprise me that we your subscribers went for the quality of scent in bleu de chanel over the performance of savauge because we own other beast mode performing fragrances wheres the average member of the public who discovers dior savauge thinks the performance is a unique thing across the whole world of fragrance so they stick to it.
I like a more grown-up fragrance, so it's Bleu de Chanel for me (I have the Parfum). Sauvage Elixir is the only one I would buy, but it's a bit pricey.
I'm far more a Bleu De Chanel person and i'm not a big Savauge fan so for me it's all BDC and not even close. Scent is all that matters to me. So it wins on scent to me.
BDC smells better overall and Sauvage has better performance. So, which of those is more important to you will subjectively determine which of the two you'd prefer. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of either of them but neither is bad. If I had to choose one to be the best, BDC wins.
Sauvage EDT is unwearable for me as it’s headache inducing. The EDP however I love it got a monster 200ml bottle. BDC EDT is less masculine, the EDP and the parfum are amazing but the the dry down on all concentrations is beautiful.
Depends where Ur from, if U are from south East Asia where most countries are hot and humid, avoid EDP and apply EDT. If you are in a colder weather then apply EDP
I can’t stand sauvage edt, but I enjoy the edp and parfum. Not sure why the edt smells off on my skin. I enjoy all bdc but prefer the edp most with the parfum closely behind.
I got samples of both of these and hands down Dior sauvage is way better of a fragrance and it smells almost the same as BDC especially after it dries but after 5 hours I couldn't even smell BDC but I could still smell the Dior sauvage. But in my opinion when they dry they both smell like a cheaper version of Creed imperial
Bleu is classier but performance is below average especially in high heat, one hour projection then it becomes a skin scent for another three hours or so.
I like this type of colparison. Sauvage clearly wins in terms of performance. But in terms of smell, perceived quality, for me Bleu de Chanel is ahead. So this one get my vote
It's a head-turner! I turn my head away everytime... The scent is very polarizing. Dior Sauvage edt, is FAR from being an unanimity. To my nose it smells synthetic, unnatural. Being more like a *fume* than a perfume (cologne).
I used to get a ton of compliments for savauge. Thats no longer the case because women are sick of smelling it. I dont even wear it as much anymore. Its usually the last thing i reach for.
It’s hard to pick one, in EdT concentration Sauvage wins, when you go EdP or parfum, BdC wins, Sauvage elixir rocks but there is no BdC equivalent (yet)
Sauvage EDT. I used to love BDC, EDT & EDP but for some reason, my nose fell out with it. It not a bad fragrance at all, just don't care for it anymore. Still wear Sauvage EDT from time to time, so Sauvage for the win.
As an owner of Sauvage, Bleu opening is top tier, I would giv it 9 out of 10 too, it is delicious smelling and beast mode in projection, would it have been the same for the entire dry-down, I would have bought Bleu instead of Sauvage😊
sauvage's biggest problem is that people thinks EVERYONE wears it, when hardly anyone actually does. i think the two main reasons are the price (unless you are into frags, you are not likely to buy a bottle. cheapies are going to try and get a cheap clone), and the reputation of it being so popular has had the opposite effect. everyone thinks its over popular, which makes less people wear it overall, and the few dudes that stuck with it are laughing
*Bleu de Chanel edt, smells like:* Tesla, Fine dining restaurants, and business meetings. *Dior Sauvage edt, smells like:* Toyota Corolla, frat houses, and locker rooms. 😂😂😂🤣🤣😂
I think most people think about the first 2 categories as the most important because if you don't like the smell why care about stuff like longevity or projection? So, I think most people agree with Ash that BDC smells better than Sauvage (according to his scores).
This channel keeps getting more refined and more produced. Better set, graphics, lighting, etc. Kudos to the team!
I’ve gotten the most compliments with Sauvage EDT. Although I adore BDC, I gotta go with Sauvage if I could only choose one 💜
just because it was loud. people smelled it so they said something. if BdC was as loud they would probably like that scent more

BDC EDP is the all rounder. But if you live in hot and humid climate like me, edt is the best bet.
As-salamu alaykum. Do they really smell that different
Agree BDC EDP is better IMO
Ash some of my favorite videos from you are the ones where you review peoples' collections. Can you start doing more of those types of videos in the near future?
You make great points. BDC is undeniably a great scent. But as far as EDTs go... ima go with Sauvage everytime.
Regarding the Atomizer - I am curious, if you give Sauvage 8.5, what would you give a 10 to? I haven't found a better atomizer out there than the ones on Dior, and 8.5 is kinda questionable

I don't think so.
Truth.
It's really really close. I just love that grapefruit note of BDC though...

Why are there blue fragrances and green fragrances but what about the other colors? Like orange, red, yellow, etc…
I think red is Amber fragrances
But yellow and orange mentally sound like citrus fragrances but those are often in blue/greens and others as well
Awesome format. Looking forward to more battles like this.
Amazing vid ash! Really close and yeah i agree it depends on your preference on which u like more.

If you are a guy, buy Dior Sauvage
If you are a man, buy Bleu de Chanel
Just ran out of my bleu de Chanel edt 😭 gonna have to refill🥲
I blew through 2 BDC bottles before half a bottle of savauge....no contest for me
I like this video, but BDC should win here because you were short 2 points for BDC when you added the third criterion. love what you do Ash
