Seems improbable at this point. I would likely need to hold each one in my hand and actually play games. Plus, there's likely a thousand different controllers out there, unless you mean only the ones packed with the systems. Even only including those would still be over 100, since they rotated through different controllers for some consoles.
This was a really cool list. Very informative. There was only one system I didn’t see that I was hoping you might have with you having everything that you do. The RDI Halcyon. I realize it only had two games but to see one in person and working would be awesome.
@@GamingTheSystems1 You are correct but I know there are some units floating around out there. Based off everything you have, I was just hoping I might see it.
Your list is good but the ps3 for me is number one because you can play 3 generations of games on one console then ps2 Sega genesis and the Saturn and Dreamcast and sega game gear. Great video man. I just started watching your channel.
Great list and I appreciate the down to earth real world perspective as opposed to the seemingly obscure randomness applied by some other Top 10/20/100 lists. I would have moved NES down a bit and maaaybe put SNES number 1 or at least a bit higher. So many NES games suffered from poor gameplay (eg: Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania bouncing you into the closest hole with every bump), poor translations and astronomically varied quality. SNES has all the iconic games and was the first system, imho, that had consistently decent graphics to the point where you were rarely left guessing what a sprite or a few pixels was supposed to be.
In the past I would have had SNES in the top 2, but for some reason it has slipped on me. I think it's because once you get past the first tier of SNES, you get into a tier that's very average. The second tier NES games are ones that I still want to play, mainly due to the chip tunes and silliness that comes from games of that time.
I've heard of most gaming systems, but there are some on this list even I've never seen before. The Gamate, Super Micro, and Cybiko are really odd ones I've never heard of before this video.
How about a collab with Gamesack, Happy Console Gamer and/or Metal Jesus Rocks? Your collection puts theirs to shame but for sure the exposure would help your channel blow up.
I feel the SNES should be higher, but it is based on how you feel so I get it. The NES I can't really complain about being number 1. The Dreamcast was great and it had a great run until the PS2 killed it. I really feel like SEGA could of did something like releasing a Dreamcast 2 in response to the PS2 that was backwards compatible. They gave up too quick.
The Americans (and Japanese) just love the NES. Everyone else looked on, puzzled. From where I’m sitting, it’s confusing. But mostly given the most lived games. Castlevania? I don’t see it. Mario Brothers is an exercise in frustration. But there five or six nice games and if I’m not mistaken, Pac-Man Championship Edition.
3DS is in my top 10. I only really play two games on it though, Super Mario 3D Land and Lego Batman, Beyond Gotham. I’m however willing to get some more games for it. Also, I have several consoles as emulators: NES, SNES, Genesis, Master System, NEC PC Engine, some Bandai stuff I never heard of before, Wii, PS1, Game Boy, GBA, N64. But I do have a long history with games, and electronics in general!
The Fairchild is cool, but it's got a pretty lackluster amount of games, really nothing worth playing today. It's more a cool collector's piece / novelty, and unless you plan on buying it to just look at it occasionally, it's not really worth the money or hassle.
As I get older I am preferring Sega stuff to Nintendos. Seems to be a thing with a lot of people these days. Cant really explain why but perhaps its because the SNES and NES were far more common at my friends houses. Only one of my friends had a Genesis. I'm just happy that Sega is still thought of fondly. They really did make some excellent systems and games.
I respect your decisions and taste, but there's one thing that I can't understand. I've recently added the Atari 7800 to my collection, an it's a good console. The Gizmondo might have some good games. I have one, but the battery doesn't work. Is it really better than the 7800 thought? But it's the Gamate especially, I can't imagine a cheaper and worse competitor to the GameBoy to be better than Atari's NES competitor. I don't have a Gamate, but I have a Supervision and Game Master. I think the Gamate wouldn't be far off those consoles, so I don't think it would be better than the 7800 for me. I'm curious as for your reason for this decision.
If he going first to last that is no fun. Always better to go from worst to first. EDIT: I spoke too soon. Pretty cool and interesting way to rank everything!!
You should have given the hand-held portable consoles their own separate list on a separate video instead of mixing them in with TV-played home consoles.
There was one system you may hqve forgot. It was easy to spot because it was at the beginning of the alphabet. The 32XCD. That was a fourth system you got when you bought a Sega Genesis, Sega CD and 32X and put them all together in one unit. And it has separate software. There's also confusion in the name where Sega called it the 32XCD yet Digital Pictures called it the Sega CD 32X, so it might be alphabetized under Sega CD 32X. (Scans video under letter S). You did not include the 32XCD. Your exceptions did not exclude the 32XCD.

Good video. My nitpick? I see the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo as largely comparable given their popularity and gaming library, so I feel it's hard to justify either one at #2 and the other all the way down at #8. Just not feeling that. Maybe #2 and #3? Alot of Playstation bias in these rankings too, lol.
@@GamingTheSystems1 I am a retro gamer myself who has owned a fair number of consoles and games (not as many as you!) but would need to ponder both of the rationales you've provided. Without too a deep a dive, even with those arguments in favor of Genesis the SNES can make a claim for the more epic games at the top with titles like Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda:AttP, Star Fox, Donkey LKong Country, Chrono Trigger, and FFIII. More top heavy, but that balances out the alleged deeper library and more variety. I'd have to investigate if there's even merit to those, from my perspective. Credit to you for even taking on the challenge of ranking all of these systems.
I know this is your list and I respect that but the SNES at number 7? Personally it's a top 5 EASY for me personally. Again different strokes for different folks
@@ATARI-DAVE-73 I was and I miss the massive leaps in graphics and game play we used to see between generations. 2600 to Nintendo, huge. NES to SNES, huge. PS3 to PS4.... MEH.
IMO the Wii is far too low, would easily make it on the top 10, likely just ahead of Switch. The Wii was just so much fun with friends, for small kids and as a nice console with good classic Nintendo games even if the graphics low spec even when it arrived.

Nobody's list is going to be the same, and it's not "laughable" when they are different. 2600 is unique and still playable today. SNES has been heading downward for me over the years. It has some mediocre games once you get through the cream of the crop. None of my list was based on sales; though having a large library does help. Also, a failed system does not necessarily mean an unplayable system. Don't condemn an entire system by some high profiles failed games like cyberpunk. Every system on the list had some terrible games. Also, modern failed games can bounce back and become better over time. See Rainbow Six Siege and No Man's Sky, the biggest gaming comeback stories of all time. All that being said, I have no issues with your list, other than the non-existence of the NES.
Too long? Music too loud? I appreciate any feedback you can give me in regards to my videos.

Worst would be any and all tiger hand held games and the multitude of shell design and manufacture!!
Good video.
Over time I have found SNES and Genesis to be quite different. Genesis has a better "second tier" and has a lot more variety in the game types.
ATARI, first nintendo then sega mega drive.
top 3 for old people.
that gameplay though
@@GamingTheSystems1 were you alive when they.came out?
@@ATARI-DAVE-73 I was and I miss the massive leaps in graphics and game play we used to see between generations. 2600 to Nintendo, huge. NES to SNES, huge. PS3 to PS4.... MEH.
IMO the Wii is far too low, would easily make it on the top 10, likely just ahead of Switch. The Wii was just so much fun with friends, for small kids and as a nice console with good classic Nintendo games even if the graphics low spec even when it arrived.
My list so far (it always can change depending of new gaming experiences):
1. Playstation 5
2. Xbox Series X/S
3. Playstation 4
4. Xbox One
5. Nintendo Switch
6. SEGA Dreamcast

9. Playstation 2
10. Nintendo GameCube
11. Xbox
12. Playstation 1
13. Nintendo 64
14. SEGA Mega Drive/ Genesis

I also love the brand Atari, but I didn't experience Atari consoles, only played Jungle Hunt on an Atari 2600 one time 30 years ago, so I can't rank the Atari systems. Also I didn't include handhelds now, for to keep my list short in first.
I
Wow
I like the list it's just that the Saturn is way to high on the list
you missed wii u??
It's in there at 27.
very cool. i like the original idea for a video. i agree with most of the list but replace the playstations with xbox consoles haha. i hate playstation joysticks, they're way too close together
Putting the ps4 above the ps2 is blasphemy. Good list though.
No vitatv love
No califica. Tiene juegos mejorados, pero no hechos especialmente para él.
@@GamingTheSystems1 si me di cuenta ahora que miro las reglas de vuelta asi como tampoco califican comodore64 y texas instrument tia99/4
ps5 way too low maaannn
It may be Number 1 one day.
Es una consola muy nueva hay que esperar para ver lo tiene de revolucionario
sony tell lies. playstation 5 no limits apart from the limit of playstation 5s sony can build......
and sony kept very quiet about having to pay playstation membership to play games you buy when ps4 came out. no membership no play the games you pay for so its like you hire games now.
i only play free to play online or VR games on ps4 and PC is no membership but i think its coming for xbox on pc.
xbox started the membership crap.....
@@ATARI-DAVE-73 si hay que ver como termina Microsoft vs Sony en esta generación
This list is laughable the 2600 in 12th place over the GBA gamecube abd n64 lol
He has a lot of fail systems high up like the Virtual boy Ngage and game com.
The dreamcast above the ps2 like wtf. The PS2 highest selling console which kicked sega out of the console business. Snes is in the best console of all time. the ps4 xbox one and ps5 xbox seeries console would be no where near the top 10. The console are plagued with season pass's micro-tractions and greedy practices and unfinished games like cyberpunk and fallout 76.
